This is definetly a complete diferent style. A more european style than the asian touch or influences that she always translates in her desings. This time it's the architectural structure of the garnements rather than the broderies what is being showcased in this collection. Celebrating the gothic architecture. That sylver dress seems to be a reminissence of la belle epoque era. Also remembered me of a Pnina Tornai $35 000 wedding dress I loved each pièce. And the shoes... OMG!!💕
Yes! The other silver dress is reminiscent of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco architecture of the Gatsby age. It was structured impeccably - all of these just blew my mind! I’ve just come from watching the Spring/Summer collection of the same year. The way she can so easily translate such different cultures and eras, as you pointed out the other silver dress evoked Belle Époque, yet through these differences she so strongly retained her signature vein running through it all - just fantastic! Some designers are capable of one or the other, but she can do both. It’s apparent how much thought and skill involved. Impeccable execution.
I absolutely LOVE Guo Pei, love her work!!! One of my favorite artists! That being said, the dress at 10:05 made me think she drew inspiration from a pigeon that smacked into a church bell (And I love it)
It's like an Elizabethan era clothing designer met up with a Marie Antoinette era clothing designer and they dropped some LSD together while reading The Brother's Grimm Fairy Tales. They then consulted a Victorian era clothing designer, who then read them some Edgar Allen Poe stories; after joining them on their LSD journey of course. They then put their amazing skills and creativity together so they could Cinderella themselves some stunning dresses to wear to the upcoming Goth Night Ball, and put all of us regular Goth Ghouls into a state of dress, and Shoe envy!! This IS a sincere compliment of the highest Goth order!! The creativity of the designer is AMAZING and the skills of her seamstresses, embroidery and beading specialists are impeccable. These garments are not just clothing, they are pieces of Art. Frankly, if by some crazy miracle the fashion deities blessed me with one of her pieces, I would display it in a high security tech glass case like a priceless museum display and start my day by gazing at it while having my morning coffee. I'd be far too protective of it to ever wear it because knowing how accident prone I can be, I'd be mortified if I ever hurt it!! Seriously! lol 😍😍😍😍 Beautiful Madame, Just Beatiful
i see a lot of things that i'm liking, and not only structural pieces, but also simple gowns with good lines underneath the cages and such. some of this reminds me of iris van herpen's work with 3D printed designs.
You need to be available to think about each "look" presented. She dealt well with the Western religion and was very respectful with of it .It is "haute couture " of the first grandeur
Rewatching this , this collection will forever live rent free in my mind. The only thing I would have changed is putting more diverse models in this show. Some of these looks would have killed on a model like Akway Amar 😍
Boundless imagination, flawlessly realized. I am amazed beyond words and just want to see more. Such drama, so chic, never safe, always beautiful, feminine, sexy, elegant and wild.
Cool! She's got some fascinating artwork. I like those stormy night pants with the dark tree branches, youknow? the ones with the soft gold shiny background and the hazy black ontop of it.
Amazing as usual... I end up with a feeling of easy, comfortable, suitable for all body shapes and any situation. You only need to see how comfortable the models look "walking" on those designs... Prob my fav is the one where you get a window stuck up your derriere... so practical!!
Hussein Chalayan abriu as portas da roupa-arte, nos termos da imobilidade quase total, como é o caso. E os sapatos o confirmam. Além disso, há que se caminhar como gueixa para que se possa ver a roupa com a atenção que merece.
I think the use of architectural elements in the shaping of the fabric and the texture is unique, I just wish she didn't take her inspiration so literally and imprint/recreate a whole facade of a building on the different pieces. Interesting show nonetheless .
I appreciate the craftsmanship but some of the clothing look too stiff. I see influences from iris van herpen, ysl, john galliano. There are a couple of fabulous pieces and a few strange ones like the dick dress.
Guo and Iris Van Herpen should collaborate!
Yes!!
this is exactly what i was thinking.
then i see your comment, and the host agreeing.
i'm glad i'm not the only seeing it.
Yes!!!
Collabwill be bomb💣
Lmao looks like they already did 9:10
These dresses would have been perfect for MET GALA. ..with the Catholic topic

These clothes are certainly stretching the boundaries of sewing skills.... I know, I am a professional...
Dakiniwoman well ofc if you look at the craftsmanship of traditional Chinese clothing for the loyal families
Dakiniwoman I agree. Lots of precision needed @ 3:40
Omg! Some of the best art I have seen in a while

Absolutely lovely. I love every dress here. She is really my favorite Haute Couture Designer.
Again, a collection of masterpieces!
love the shoes....she is great.....would love to see some more fluidity in her designs though.....The dresses belong on an exhibit very nice.

Guo Pei has actual talent😍 Beautiful work of art. If I had money I would've bought 6 or 8 of these dresses.
I dont know from where do I start her design or her sewing she just made what even elle saab cant do her creativity is amazing and one of the kind
By far I'm obsessed with the heels omg I need them
Love the creativity! Bright minded 👍👏👏
Sooo stunning!! Gothic, dramatic, and inspiring ♡
Did anyone notice the hood braids took a pro to make it finally look right on white girls good job
Stunning collection! This is what I call a REFINED ART.
Love as usual !! Her work just blows my mind.
Amazing as usual.

elegant, classy, architectural, artistic, but cold.
DAYBROK3 , you forgot “ridiculous.”
this is an amazing designer.
Exquisite structural pieces ❤️ How does she get these inspirations? And then execute them? Stunning!
These designs would make the perfect Halloween costumes.
Daniel gunnarson- dark alliance is the theme they are playing in this video.( instrumental without vocal)
every piece is perfect show case for MET GALA
Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!
have to say, girls in GUO PEI's cloths look like queens in power of her kingdom
You are fantastica 😍💪👭🇮🇹 Tarantella's Sisters ♥️🇮🇹
2:03 that model have legs that go for ever! Of course, the dress help to that look as well. Stuning collection as always.
Mitsuo Mits Thats what i thought too! lol and the lines also help achive that look
@@1sadsexually2sadsexually54 True!😊
Amazing!
gothic inspiration , true arts
all models have very orginals hairstyles I like this
Amazing as usual... I end up with a feeling of easy, comfortable, suitable for all body shapes and any situation. You only need to see how comfortable the models look "walking" on those designs... Prob my fav is the one where you get a window stuck up your derriere... so practical!!
9:07 WOOOOOW
Will they be abel to sit down?...😯
I was thinking the same!!
Nope but looking cute
Yeap.In the same way victorians sit in the crinoline cage.
Two words..moving structures 👍
Very nice
If anyone should be a set designer for the next Dune series, it should be her!
The producers couldn't afford her

You got to be kidding! Some of them would make unique lamp shades.
Guo pei tus vestidos son jollás
9:40 perfection
Exquisite.
Magical, creepy, dark, seriously creative and out-there beautiful!
(But, with that ...the two male models "dragging" a HUGE turn-off.)
Give that girl some pasties.....
i LIKE!!!!
oh HELL yeah.
Amazing
Awesome
Most of this outfits are ridiculous but I have to say it’s art
This woman is beyond! I'll have what she's having...
I had to look twice at 10:16 :D I thought she was Duchess Sarah Ferguson. hahaha
It seems like a cathedral was the inspiration in creating most of these dresses.
👍🏻 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️❤️👍🏻 love it
........am I wrong for thinkin most of this was trash? This is completely un-Guo Pei--an utter antonym of her genious.
Nice !
Its interesting how quickly the models walk down the runway
My fashion knowledge is limited to say the least, but I haven't been so impressed by a collection ...
epic!
郭佩很有创意。
Her clothing is exquisite, but honestly I was just waiting for one of the models to trip and break an ankle or something geez!
I would wear each of these outfit to the grocery store
Wooooo
Who’s the model at 4:07 min ??
Very talented.
11:31 celle que je préfère 😍
Mad

The music in this video is really bad, and do not go with such a beautiful couture presentation show... I’m sure Guo Pei agrees with me :)
I want to be there, big girl wat to be there too
beautiful, just wonder how to sit down or go to toilet on some of the gauns?
it's haute couture lmao. you just don't
Im not religious but wow
I appreciate the craftsmanship but some of the clothing look too stiff. I see influences from iris van herpen, ysl, john galliano. There are a couple of fabulous pieces and a few strange ones like the dick dress.
WELL WE CANN THIS WALKING ART OR ART WALKING.
Try sitting down in one of those. I bet you show your Va-J-J. LOL
13;11 wonderfull
The girl's are walking like there nails are gonna pop off!!
Some of the designs are too literal. Workmanship and execution is fantastic.
💐🌻🌼🏵🐝
I expected more besides some models wearing god damn lamps for dresses. Guo pei did better on the past and this is just Dissapointing
Как они так ходят 🤭👍
Super structured, difficult to cut sew and wear. Did no one besides me feel saddened by these structured but uncomfortable pieces?
Just me, but would've liked to see boy shorts under those dresses. That 1 high cut was just 😖
These designers have no respect for a womans privacy. Some of the items are just rude props.
And you thought Chanel was a good designer(no shade)
Incomodisimo
Ohw well what do i know about fashion anyway....
СКАЗКА...,ФЭНТАЗИ...,ПРОФЕССИОНАЛИЗМ!!!
All is good but to bored because the model walk out to slow that make the show is bored
!
Зачем же уродовать нас женщин?И куда ходить полуголыми?
The handwork is amazing, but the shining fabrics.... most ugly!
The plastic white fans in the background ruined the fantasy. 😢
