The Easiest Timber Frame Rafter Seats

Making timber frame rafter seats can be time-consuming if you make them all by hand. If you use a circular saw, you're stuck with an unsightly channel all the way down your timber.
Instead of doing either, I use a router. 😎
I use this 2" router bit and spin the router up to 2200 rpm.
