    I use to live in South Lake Tahoe, I have not seen so much snow. Now I am in Craig Colorado and we are getting hammered with a lot of snow for the last 4 days, not inches but feet.

    Beautiful views, thanks for taking us along. There are really no bad views in the Tahoe area, winter or summer. With the lake in the background you can't go wrong. Seems you lift up the blower by articulating the tractor rather than lifting the implement itself, is that true? I have never seen a loader articulate in the axis before, but I don't know the loader you are using.

      Very true! I feel very lucky to work where I do! The blower works like a regular loader attachment. It hooks on the quick coupler and is all self contained with its own diesel motor. thanks for watching! More videos to come

      Thanks for watching! This is actually in north of Tahoe city in a private HOA. I wish I got to see it back then, Back when Tahoe was in its prime

    I haven't plowed snow with a loader in nearly a decade at this point, and man, do I wish I could get back to it. It's just so.. soothing.

    Yep and folks at Lake Tahoe who live there wonder why property tax is so high.. There are 2 diesel motors running here and expensive repairs too. But plow trucks and front end loaders can’t be used as there is no place to put the snow.. Thus the snow blowers l8e this one can still function.☺️

    Why do they use the best equipment for cleanup instead of open up?

    • @Jfenley
      @Jfenley  Рік тому

      All depends on the day! A lot of the time I will open everything up with the blower

    How much fuel does that blower use in a shift? Diesel I assume?

    • @Jfenley
      @Jfenley  Рік тому +2

      Diesel indeed. This blower has around a 70 gallon tank and usually uses 25-30 gallons per shift. (Roughly 3-4 hours)

    how worried are yall about the melt in the spring??

    • @Jfenley
      @Jfenley  Рік тому +1

      Not super worried, the ground is definitely going to be very saturated and some crawl spaces might fill up but for the most part everything should be good. Especially where we are is very elevated above the lake.

    some good views not great. bad camera angle with always seeing the front of the snow blower.

      Totally agree, hopefully I’ll have some better views with better footage coming your way. Going to invest in a camera and some mounts

      There was a snowblower?

    My favorite skiing area. Many years ago we watched a crew testing a prototype double stacked auger setup that was about ten feet tall chewing through the snow. Are you a private contractor, would hate to see the bill for a season of plowing up there

    • @MB12116
      @MB12116 Рік тому +1

      Most of it is seasonal. For us, $2.1k annually, and they will come I think after 4 inches, and once in a 24 hr period. However, that doesn’t include the 18ish inches in front of the garage and steps/ walkways. We still have a snowblower and do that ourselves, honestly I don’t mind. Even if we had them come out, sometimes the hours are hard, and it’s easier to do yourself. But bc it’s a second house, and we can’t plow after every storm, so we have them take care of the driveway which is the big deal.

      I plow a 102 home- home owners association. From the highway to the front doors

      For the last few years there has been hardly any snow, so if the contractor can get a contract that would be great. If they charge each time they come out, the last few years have been tough for them I would guess.
