Yessss I definitely want to see a hamster haul! I own hamsters but not piggies, and I think I will never own them, they’re just TOO messy for me I think but like I love them they’re sooo flipping cute!🥰🥰

I totally thought I would never get piggies but I just couldn’t help it! If you have the time they’re totally worth it. But they’re not for everyone.
I thought and lived by this to! I never allowed myself to watch piggie videos because I knew they would just be to much for me! .. well 2 piggies later I LOVE THEM they are my favorite small pet I’ve ever owned.

u have to clean them like 3 times a day and wash all their sheets, give them food, attention but they’re totally worth it :’)

With any water bottles not just Kaytee or fill the water bottle with a little bit of air on the top put it on the cage and hold the nipple nosile thing until air comes up to the top it will just be bubbles and it should not leak just do it every time you fill it!!

Fleece is easier to clean in my opinion but if it’s warm a lot wherever you live I recommend aspen or bedding as it won’t be as hot ❤️ good luck with your piggies there lots of fun

@@carlachan903 we have two males and have been using paper bedding.., but it’s so expensive because guinea pig cages are really big (we have a 2x4 C&C cage).. I’m in the process of making fleece cage liners and pee pads.. it costs more up front, but you save a lot of money in the long run.
@@carlachan903 I think the girl that has the You Tube channel Spueaky Dreams makes and sell fleece items.. but if you have a sewing machine and want to make your own, I suggest buying some Uhaul blankets and use it as the middle layer with fleece on top and bottom.. some even use 2 layers of uhaul.. if you wan5 them to be waterproof, buy a breathable waterproof mattress protector… Good luck!
@@robinjones394 aw two males so sweet 😍 I have a c and c cage set up ready but since it's going to be in my room (only space I have at the moment) I'm just worried that disposable bedding will smell or be to messy but if all honestly I don't mind the mess cause it's easily cleanable just cause my partner sleeps in the same room I don't want it to be too smelly for him 🤣 your definitely right though as much as it may be more expensive to buy out front it's going to be more cost effective in the long run! I highly recommend plastic cat liter boxes! I have two of them in my cages and my guinea pigs love them! Also try using shavings for your liter boxes!

for anyone who can't get their pee stains off plastic or in the cage etc, use vinegar specifically ättika. ättika is the swedish term so if u translate it to english u should get a result. Its natural ingredients and u just let it sit for like a minute and then its all gone. recommend for anyone that has a trouble with old pee stains on plastic or wood

lol i have that activity wall. the screws (even with the backing) are smaller than the squares in the grids so you can just pop them through

For the first toy (the twig tunnel) you can but some fleece on the bottom if your woried about them getting there nails stuck/cut

In my opinion I think that the bin is just fine when you are cleaning the guniea pigs cage.
OXBOW is the BEST brand! I only use their guinea pig food and Hay for my boys.

I use oxbow hay pellets treats and some of their hay toys, my boy loves the carrot shaped one
@Kaitlin yes I do to! My boys love the freeze dried strawberries and Banana, I have all the other treats as well. I just ordered Pea flakes from Guineadad. My younger pig loves them, but my older pig won't eat them.

Instead of fleece in ur litter box, try newspaper. With newspaper on the bottom you can just roll up the whole thing to clean. Then put a fresh layer of newspaper then hay on top that.
I like Pigs 🐽 Guinea are very cute you work hard 👍 The cages is clean and air purifiers clean fresh. I’m allergic too lol .
I have rabbits but they also use a litter box, highly recommend getting equine pellets or a good brand of pellets to use as litter. It absorbs EVERYTHING and little to no smell after days! But that's if your piggies aren't keen on trying to eat it lol one of my rabbits tried but learned quick the flavor wasn't it

Hi!! I just stumbled upon your channel and I LOVE IT. A suggestion for the hay/litter box area: I use a 12”x21” plastic tub (cheap, from target, without the lid) and cut two pig-sized holes on one side of it (one of the longer sides) about 1-2 inches up from the bottom (I use a wood burner so there aren’t any sharp edges). Instead of fleece I just put normal paper bedding in there .5-1 inches thick (newspaper works too) and pile the hay on that. This makes it SO much easier to clean because you can throw it all away and just wipe down the plastic bin to keep it sanitary 😊
Note* it also keeps them from tracking hay all over the cage!
I highly recommend a wooden bendy-bridge, even you get a size too small for guinea pigs they LOVE chewing on the wood. I had to get one for each of my boys and they still destroyed them (:

I have the same cow print liners and noticed the urine stains yours have. I’m going through my first use of these liners right now so im curious. Does your stains wash out once you take them out the washer? Any tips for cleaning that specific fleece set?

Before researching a lot, my Guinea pigs (they have past away 😔) used to lay on news paper instead of fleece and I would feed them iceberg lettuce! 😢 I did use hay tho! 😭I rlly regret not researching first
I just wanna say, I swapped from fleece and then litter liners to adding a thin layer of paper bedding to the bottom of my kitchen areas. And I’ve noticed far less odor and I just go in with an empty trash can and stick the whole 1 x 2 kitchen area in the bag and it all folds out pretty satisfyingly. It is an added expense and you can’t dump it out the window, but the odor control and super easy clean up is worth it for me! Then I just quickly wipe down the coroplast and refill. I don’t have issues with the hay sticking in it I think it’s the bedding helping with that. Just wanted to share in case it helps anyone because I used to hate cleaning the litter/kitchen area and I always stunk soooo quick. I do change it every 2-3 days and add fresh hay every day. But, all the other ways I tried didn’t work for me at all.

For the bottom of the litter box to absorb pee I use, newspaper and then litter pellets (wood pellets work too) on top of that, then their hay:) works great!!!

I suggest using wood chips for the litter box but do a lot! Of research on wood chips first cuz they can be deadly depending on what ones you use.
Yeah I also have the glass water bottle with a little floating duck think And for me personally it’s been doing pretty good it has leaked and I have had to change the bedding a few times because of that but I mean it’s OK
Hi, Audrey! I am a guinea pig owner, and I have a couple of questions. I have two guinea pigs. So I have a 5x2 C&C cage.Thats big enough, right? I have a tunnel, and two hideouts. That enough? They have 3 chews, which I switch out weekly. That okay? They have a food/hay dispenser, and two water bottles. They also have a litter pan. I use fleece, and spot clean everyday and full clean once a week. That good? I hold them nightly, for about 30 minutes, and give them floor time every so often. They have hay 24/7 and feed twoce a day, 1/5 a cup per time. I would also like tips on how to keep my room smelling better, so any tips?

Maybe when you get the play pen going, you can use the bin for shaking out/ brushing off the fleece pieces into. There are 15 gallon biocompostible bags available through AZN. You might feel better using those bags for the brush off stuff and then toss in trash can at your home. Because pet waste isn't compostible , it isn't supposed to go in compost can with scraps; but at least you will feel better sending the biocompostible bags to the landfill instead of the plastic ones. I love your cage ive been waiting for a month for my guinea pigs arrive and amazon hasn’t brought it here😭😭 rn there in a tiny cage but i allow them to feee roam for the entire day

i use the cat litter boxes from the dollar tree and they work just fine my 3 guinea pigs use them if you put a little bit of hay and bedding i also have a hay bag so im not wasting it

Just a little tip for water bottles. You can get a brick and put under it. It can also kinda keep there nails filed..maybe. lol Idk BUT it does soak up drips 😃
i have to pigs. skinny pig and uinea pig. however i would ABSOLUTELY love seeing a video of you cleaning and running us through how YOU clean there cage when you do it and the basice routine and products you use. Cause my piggies can STINK but im not sure how often to clean it. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE also tell me if you know how to LITTER TRAIN THEMMMMM! please :(
Hii, I'd just like to say it's pretty much impossible to fully litter-train guinea pigs but a good idea is to get a large cat litter pan and put all their hay in that and usually when they're eating hay they'll poop and pee in there! You can put some bedding (paper or Aspen, whichever works for you!) And just clean that area out :) it may minimize the mess around the cage!

I have bunnies and I hate throwing their hay and paper litter into a garbage bag. It just feels so wasteful. I used to live in the forest and I would just put all of it out in a compost heap. I'm not really sure what to do with it now that I moved to the city though. I'm thinking about getting an indoor compost compactor thingy.
Also make sure to cut the loofa off the oxbow play wall because that can get them sick!
