A divine trio of talents - Darren, Paul and Roy, creating music from the heart and soul! Just brilliant musicians who are hard to break away from when listening to their music!!! It's divine!!!!
the talent and groove and creativity is truly the best. i love these guys and I have never run into anyone that has not like them after introducing them to mutemath.
DUDE!!!!! seriously........when will the rest of the world wake up and acknowledge this band. If Muse is doing sold out arenas with a crazy light/stage set up, can you imagine a MuteMath show on THAT kind of scale!?!?! EPICNESS!!!!
I love the double stick hi hat he does. Darren King is one of the if not the most energetic and fun to watch drummers I have seen. I wish I could have seen him live with Mutemath.
I was fortunate to see them up close and personal long ago before they dropped their first EP at PennyLane Records in Belmont Shore. I was getting air punched by the kick i was so close. One of my fondest memories.
The only reason why MUTEMATH isnt the biggest band in the world is because their music is good, well amazing actually. Great music isnt for the masses, look at the billboard top 10...garbage. I will keep going to their shows, I actually prefer them in a club setting and not huge venues but I want them to have all the success at the same time.
my friends used to play with him at church, they said that he sweats so much that he started taping his headphones around his head.they also wont fall off that way lol
I was just about to say I think this is MuteMath's drummer then I saw it. MuteMath is totally underrated, You are Mine and Chaos are my favorite from them
Handstands on keyboards, four-man drumming sessions, keytar solos during crowdsurfing, ridiculous basslines, and energy from start to finish--and that'd be just the first half of the show. I can imaginexsldnadafa... Oh, noeeeesssssadadf Brain.....ddfaaiiling.....
Wow DK is a god, it's a bit of a pity the drums were mixed like a rock track, way over gated so you couldn't hear all his ghost notes, they're the things that make this guy so brilliant!! Awesome to watch still, such an inspiration!!!!
FINALLY someone hit that big bass drum in the back. and it was worth the wait. throughout all these videos i was wondering when they were gonna use it, and it seemed a bit too far the drummer to reach it. all percussion endings are the best.
The only reason why they are not "ruling the world"is because they are not sell outs they are saving music one venue at a time. Lol! I hope they never sell out.
That animal can throw off the headphones, that are duct taped to his head, just by swinging his head forward. If you look up 'interview burden' he does it in that live performance. He's insane.
Guitar Center, the mix throughout the 4 parts of this performance is pretty lame, toms always sound cool, but kick and snare are constantly subdued and brought up in random spots while the HH is absurdly loud, just wondering why, if it's the mix from the FOH i guess i half understand. But please...

The Mutemath legacy lives on... ❤
I still don't know how MuteMath hasn't gained more popularity. Their music is phenomenal.
I cannot understand how these guys aren't ruling the world right now.
all time favourite band.

true.
I must say Darren's jacket/blazer is sweet!
I need more of this, Mutemath. I simply demand it. It's like Mutemath, the 4th Dr. Who and Mega Man had a beautiful baby.
Darren's such a badass that he has to tape his headphones to his head so they don't fall off his head while he's playing on his kit.
When god was handing out drumsticks, Darren said "fuck the sticks, I'll take the talent."
+Matt Horton (fasterMPH) wrong!!! darren king was handing out the drumsticks.
Dinamic, explosive, original...darren the king!
all my respect love this guy
Nice! I'll check that out. And you're right, Mutemath are insane.
Gotta love these guys!
my friends used to play with him at church, they said that he sweats so much that he started taping his headphones around his head.they also wont fall off that way lol
Thats cool! In Louisiana?
Just a groove... I like this kind of drummer..
Muse is incredibly talented also, but I agree. More people need to know about these guys.
I WANT THESE TRACKS
Holla holla. I love my Mutemath. Favorite band ever.
what a crazy ass beet up set to a great drummer
I was just about to say I think this is MuteMath's drummer then I saw it. MuteMath is totally underrated, You are Mine and Chaos are my favorite from them
MUTEMATH. Kings of awesome.

You'd think he would've just bought in-ears by now.

Beasting so hard I think he forgot to breathe, he was turning purple!
FINALLY someone hit that big bass drum in the back. and it was worth the wait.

i wanna see him and jojo mayer jam!
This guy will never get fat. he gets this workout every night!
Truly BADASSERY!
Reminds me of Megaman music,I love it.
Best modern drummer. 'Nuff said.
A-wea-some!!
Drummer in soul...
You can have too much technics and experience, but if you don't feel the music, it's death...
Hurray fir those guys!!
The only reason why they are not "ruling the world"is because they are not sell outs they are saving music one venue at a time. Lol! I hope they never sell out.
ver tocar a darren siempre es un placer
He's so freaking good. Huge drumming influence on me.
bread and butter, love, much love
That ride sounds A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
Do you know what it is? I agree
Sadly, no idea.
Allen James it looks like the Zildjian K Constantinople Medium Thin Ride to me, because of the hammering and the sound
That's what I was thinking!
Very nice groove! I'd love to Shed to this track!
what YEAHH, man wow!
lol
there's a video of him on the mutemath channel of him taping up for a recording
That animal can throw off the headphones, that are duct taped to his head, just by swinging his head forward. If you look up 'interview burden' he does it in that live performance. He's insane.
Amazing!! This part reminds me of a Mega Man tune from the NES!
HOLY SHIT DUDE....
Drum King!!
Cause he is a boss!
DANG!
Beast
Fuerte influencia del tema de AIRWOLF!!😁
New favorite drummer behind Ilan Rubin
sounds like a pretty cool new song...
what I would have given to be at this
4:00 YES
Interesting that he has the floor tom in the tom position and tom in the floor tom position, but they're tuned based on the position they're in.
me to!!
i demand a download link. really though.
Darren "awesome as fuck" King
Does anyone know what cymbal that is?!? Amazing sound.!
yea it also seems reasonably "hip" to be mainstream (while still maintaining good musical value of course)
It's a Zildjian. It sounds like an A Custom but I'm not sure.
DRUMMING LIKA FUCKING VINKING!!!!!
Zildjian K Crash/ride 22
Guitar Center, the mix throughout the 4 parts of this performance is pretty lame, toms always sound cool, but kick and snare are constantly subdued and brought up in random spots while the HH is absurdly loud, just wondering why, if it's the mix from the FOH i guess i half understand. But please...
Interesting I always loved this mix. I see what you mean, the hi hat is very crispy and in the front.
Is what they're playing actually a song? Or are they just jamming?
these songs isn't released afaik
those ghost notes, though...
Bet it wasn't pleasant for him to take those headphones off. Damn Duct tape
It dampens the drums. that's why they sound so thuddy.Cool affect for the type of music they are playing.
triplets man
Это крутетская крутень
jean michel jarre with a rock drummer ;-)
Why does he drum with duct tape on?
Luis burgos jr is way better!
Wait was that really supposed to be impressive??....
