I'm currently reading the manga (just finished the first volume) and it's amazing! A lot of differences but it's understandable considering they had to make the story fit in the film (plus I think the manga was still going after the film came out)
@@PersonaAries Movie tells roughly the story of first 1½ volumes (and the scene with Nausicaa walking on Ōmu tentacles has different meaning in manga) The manga is 7 volumes long (with #6 and #7 being much thicker than the others) and example the war between those three nations is shown in it's full throttle. EDIT: Nausicaa manga ran from 1983 to 1994. Movie was released in 1984
If you liked this movie, i recommend you read the manga! It's a bit different and it continues after the ending of the film, it's simply amazing and probably my favorite work by miyazaki.

This movie is just a godly piece of art, all the emotion and themes it brought, I could stay here and talk for hours.
Fun fact: Nausicaa as a girl's name is of Greek origin meaning "burner of ships".

What a great catch! One of my favorite Miazaki's! This is a must watch, for those who have missed it for some strange reason...
