I got a deep tissue massage coupled with some chiropractic maneuvers while on vacation this past week, it was wonderful. I was sore the next day, the massage therapist released so many knots in my back, butt, hips, legs. I’m definitely going to find a good massage therapist when I get back home. I see a chiropractor pretty regular but he doesn’t do the fascia work or tissue work, the massage therapist told me my muscles were very tight, I haven’t felt this good in a long time. Dr. Mondragon is one of a kind chiropractor that takes care of everything! Most chiropractors don’t do that much… 10 or 15 minutes is all they do if that… sometimes 5 minutes.
wow man such good technique, beats what i grabbed off some stooge the other day, but you knowledge of anatomy is a true testament of how professional and enthusiastic you are about your work, really shows through! i wish it would infect your pupils -_- but good to see there are good massage therapists out there!
Please let us know if you have a website and special classes to take from you... I love the way you explain, is very clear and easy... thanks for such a great job doing these videos
Thank you for the impressive technique! 10 years have passed, and the video is very relevant! I would like to ask you if there is a new video option because you have a very beautiful and clever technique!
This is one of the best myofascial and deep tissue technique videos I have seen! Absolutely love it ! Please put up more. I really wish I could receive this massage and absorb all your wonderful techniques. Do you ever do workshops in Canada or near Vancouver? Great job:)
I sincerely appreciate this. I'm sorry it took 8 years to respond! I don't teach internationally, but I am looking to put some online courses together. Hope they reach you in the future!
thanks for the great & thorough video! it was very informative for me (someone learning more about muscle groups & massage techniques). also thanks from my human volunteer who says, "best massage I've had!"
Your flowing is amazing and your techniques are very easy to understand the way you explain....I wish you can be my mentor.... do you have classes.... or website to take classes from you??????
I would love to see another video like this but with the following. So using a client who is tight in the shoulder like this and massage both the shoulders and the neck, then once done that pull the clients arms down and then use your elbows or form and get into the traps where the client is feeling tight, and hold there until start to feel a release. Do that for about 2 to 3 times. Finally put the clients arms over the head and pull the arms and the legs at the same time and , hold for about 10-15sec and do this about 3-5 times. I would love to see a video on this please.
@@professortobymulvihill6552 Great demostration. Would you consider doing one regarding Torticollis pain relief? It runs in the family and I'd love to have a way to help reduce it. Also, would you mind telling me where you studied? I'm exploring massage therapy as a carrier option and the amount of calm knowledge you have stuns me.
Gosh I love your techniques and your work but get a better cameraman pls my poor eyes were tearing up :( do the same video but different cameraman please, I'm looking forward to it! (Once quarantine is done of course haha)
Thanks for the support, Hinami! This video was actually an in-class project with all the students to showcase how much you can do with literally no experience of cinematography or knowing how to use an iPad or iMovie as the editor. That being said, I feel our camerapersons did a great job for never having done something like that in their lives!
I think what Hinami wanted to say is : Maybe you should invest into an On-Camera microphone with a shock mount (Like the RODE NTG for example) to prevent all the clicky manipulation sounds, and then make sure the camera operator is trying to move consciously, gripping the camera with two hands and using a strap to hold the camera in place. Or, if you have the funds to spare, rent/buy a motorized gimbal. It would ensure great stability despite the inexperience of any operator you would assign. Anyways, great stuff Toby. Your assurance and confidence in your work makes it very relaxing to watch and learn.

Just wondering if you're a female therapist how you stop your breasts from squishing against the clients legs when you lean over and do the leg stretches ...genuine question
Thanks for the genuine question, Carol. I usually recommend finding a placement for the area you're working on by placing it closer to your stomach or lower ribs instead. This is usually an easier move than having to rotate your torso left or right during the extended hold periods of stretching, and uses far better body mechanics than the rotation. If you're trying to do a quad stretch by bending the knee when the client is prone, for example, you could also use your armpit to hold and stabilize the lower leg and avoid the chest completely. Hope this helps!
I appreciate the feedback! To clarify: wrist injury is EXTREMELY common with massage therapists, and this is why at Globe (and in this video) we address the ideal wrist angle. Any time you are putting your wrist into extension, you should try to aim for a 110 degree angle or higher between the dorsal part of your hand to your forearm extensors. You'll see my wrist going to about a 90 degree angle at some points in the video during the demo/talking part: during this time, I have little to no weight being introduced to my wrist joint, we simply focus on placement and positioning during these times. I appreciate you also noticing how I'm putting hard work in! Massage is NOT a lazy practice (even though I joke about it in the video), but it shouldn't have to be a P90X workout every massage. :) Yes, I am working hard, but not extra hard. I admit: it's interesting recording a full deep tissue massage while talking through and explaining everything. Thanks for your feedback, Felix Valdez , but I've been massaging for over 5 years doing full time deep tissue work -- I'm not going anywhere fast! :)
the transferring energy from your feet seams like a load of rubbish, you just used natural friction to make your hands warm ( which probably still feels nice)
This video was taken by a student in class and was shared originally as a study guide. You're not wrong - the audio is subpar, and the camera shake is too, but only if you're looking for "content creator" quality. This is not that. My apologies. If you'd like to offer professional services for free, I'll gladly redo the routine? :)
His draping skill is not that good. His hands were too deep. He could just use fingers to tuck in instead he used entire hands. Plus his crotch was touching his head so that’s not good.
I'm super impressed by the anatomy lessons combined with the effortless movements. You are really good.
Cheers, I appreciate the view! I hope you took something useful away from it!

great content and demonstration but such a shame about the poor filming quality - hope you make more videos with a rotating tripod for better clairty
I had to vomit so I went home from the video store
Would you be interested in providing more massage how to. These are sooooo helpful. I appreciate you.

Very good massage I have to travel there.
Found this to be very helpful both with deep tissue as well as body mechanics techniques thanks
Did that massage help with his left side that was more tighter?
This man is just insane making strange faces and noises
Taught me a bunch of myofascial stretching techniques!
This was awesome, super informative!
