The writers of Utopia should write a sitcom about a global megacorp who tries to make film and television, but is continually hampered by their own corporate ideology, lack of any genuinely creative vision, and completely misunderstanding the worldbuilding of the existing IPs they insist on pillaging.

Looks just like the us and uk version with Aussie cast members to me; I wasn’t a fan of either show myself.
Ummm not even close...
They're about to prank us all by putting this in the comedy section.
Why is the set dressed like it’s 2000? I assume the reference to all coming back to the office means the show occurs in the current day. This does not bode well
Because Australia is perpetually 20 years behind everyone.
like a lot of countries, They are 15- 20 years behind the trends
Yes! I was looking at the set and people i couldnt work it out but yes it’s styled neighbors 1998
@@jaimefish173i was shocked when I went to Australia for a month in college, in 2005, that our 80s music was like all they played!
@@saradill6243mate australia is way better than usa you clown
Now I have to rewatch the Office for 156789345778th time to erase this from my memory 😅
"iM fUnNy bEcAuSe I UsE aBsUrDly LarGe nUmbErs 🤪"
This is the television equivalent of Raygun's breakdancing. It's so atrocious that it makes me want to renounce my citizenship. Why does Australia so fervently insist on being so pathetically cringy.
I’m already at the airport leaving the country after seeing the clip last night
We are the country where Rove was considered funny
😂🎉🎉🎉
Well youre not allowed back in England if you do. We dont want you back as youre assosiated with this.
AU television is all the worst parts of the US and UK combined.
Only reason the video played this long is because I’m reading the comments 😂
Ricky Gervais didn't die for this.
I might have some great news for you 😂
RIP Ricky Gervais
He was murdered by David Brent
Well the Office brand is his, so if anything he'll get richer from this
I made it to the 1:03 mark. I’ve sat through cartel videos for longer than that.
I stopped at a 1:06 and checked the comments. Glad im not the only one
Wow..I tapped out at 1:04
I only got to 1:00
1:10 for me
It’s playing with the volume down so I can read all these comments
This is what 200 years of being trapped on an island does to a group of people
But... The original office. 🤣
pressure cooker island
5k likes on 2 mil views is absolutely criminal
I have a lot of questions. First of all: How dare you, Australia?
We didn’t want this
Obviously challenging America
Australia already had its own version of the office. It's called utopia. It's actually good
YES.
Totally agree, this is dreadful. Utopia is proper Aussie humour
Thankyou!
Agreed
This might be the worst thing to happen to Australia
Um you didnt see the Olympics?
@@jaimefish173they had there best Olympics ever
Ever since the great emu war
*cough* Raygun *cough*
Even worse than the defeat they suffered in the Great Emu War?
So instead of giving us a proper The Office Reunion, they made this? THIS?!?!?!!!!!!
Presuming the best bits have been lifted to show in the trailer, this is going to be terrible.
Wouldn’t the best way to have done this reboot to have made it a deep Chris Lilley style mockumentary? Actually satirising Australian workplace stereotypes?
This is awful
Yes! Chris Lilley would've done this so much better.
My first thought from the trailer was it couldn't possibly get worse. Alas, you've provided such a scenario.
Chris Lilley perfected the mockumentary. This looks like someone watched five minutes of a random US Office episode and went “ah, gotcha, I can do that.”
@@thecurmudgeon3131 Chris Lilley's an unfunny chump.
@@surj1023if you think Chris Lilley would’ve made this worse, please leave. The country doesn’t want or need you.
We should’ve gotten a full 2 Hour “Threat Level Midnight” movie instead of this
I miss Pam, Jim, Michael, Dwight😢
