Wow wow wow. This is something else....smoky, smoky jazzy blues! What an awesome arrangement and Killer soloist!!! If it were the 1940's, this is so good, it could easily be Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Glen Miller, or Duke Ellington's band playing just like this. Awesome!!
Jon-Erik, are you from Detroit? Somewhere I saw that you studied at WSU. Did you ever meet Bill Hart, a professor of math and music at MCC? Bill grew up in East Grand Rapids with me. Our first band was the "Eastonians." I was a run-of-the-mill trombonist. Been on VG's tail for 30+ years and yours, through VG and CB posting, for 5+. I really like your music. I live in Birmingham, MI and my name is Jon A. Walgren, BS, MBA, CPA, lover of music. I'm 71 and retired.
***** Yes, I grew up in Allen Park, MI and then lived in Hamtramck. Yep, went to Wayne State. I don't recognize Bill's name. I've been playing with VG since I moved to NYC to join his band in '89! Thanks, all the best to ya! - Jon-Erik

Holy Pete, Vince, you're on a tear! Jon-Erik's opening solo is terrific.
