I've been looking at buying my first tripod for my Sony ZV E10 but don't want to spend to much but I really like how you show the real life scenarios for this tripod. Thanks for the video
@@Tokki17 I ended up getting the ULANZI TT07 Ombra Lightweight Travel Tripod. I got this one because it's small enough to fit on the side of my camera backpack and it's steardy as well. Hope this helps
@@meetrichardreyesThanks for the information. Do you you think the small rig is good for someone new for photography and videography and also on budget?
Just used this link. No joke, I've stressed out why I can't frame myself the way I want.. and after watching this AGAIN, I realized that its because my current tripod just aint working.
I use the Neewer SAB234 which I purchased in 2018 for $48 CAD It has cheap plastic locks and they seem to have lasted. The quick release plate wobbles from the day I bought it but it works for what I need. I don't collapse it much but it does get knocked around. It hold my heaviest camera, a Nikon DSLR with 70-200mm lens at any angle with out any issues. I was looking to purchase a second tripod for another camera. I think this is a nice unit, the only thing I am not sure about is the ball head. I would rather have a fluid head with a handle for panning. Great review and thanks for being honest. I love how some viewers say it's a piece of garbage, when you ask them what they use, they don't respond. Keep up the great work!
@@tylerstravis There are options out there but out of my price range (~$300-$400 CAD) I did purchase the K&F Concept Tripod ($95 CAD)with the ball head due to the Small Rig Tripod having poor reviews regarding the leg extension clip snapping. This is a good tripod for the price but I'm not a fan of the ball head because once it's release, it's a pain to level again. It is sturdy and I have been using it for a few month now constantly folding it away and it is holding up nicely. Like every reasonably priced item on Amazon, you have to be gentle with it or it will break. Seems like you have to spend a fortune now-a-days to get a durable item. I hope this helps
I've got this it's nicely made. My only gripe is doing fine position adjustments of a long reach telephoto shot, you can micro adjust the ball head. Otherwise id recommend great value
So just bought this. Had $50 in Amazon credit so basically costs me $30. My current tripod works still but for some reason, the ball head keeps getting loose, loose enough that the whole camera could spin off if Im not paying attention. Also has the spin locks on the legs and its so annoying so this should be a huge upgrade.
@@thefilmalliance I don't know, small rig has got one (SmallRig Lightweight Fluid Video Head 3457). But there are so may from other "proper" camera gear manufacturers too. Maybe it is better to go for quality to get that smooth motion?

Pulled the trigger on this tripod this morning (used your link) and caught a lighting deal for 15% off - price was $63.74. Thanks for the nice review. Expecting it to be great for my phones and tall enough (my current photography tripod is very nice, expensive carbon fiber from well know manufacturer, but only about 65") to film downward.
@@thefilmalliance Mainly got it for ZV1 and smartphones - Iphone 13 and Samsung Note 20 Ultra. I do have two Nikon DSLR's but rarely use them for video. I would use my better tripod for them for added stability.
Hello.... Yes I have this tripod and I'm using a Canon and well underweight! The issue is the locks and on Amazon there's several reviews showing the same problem. This tripod although seems pretty easy and budget friendly, it's not going to be used with any of my equipment.
Do you use a tripod for your videos? If you would like to see more videos like this one like and subscribe!
Can you use that tripod for sports e.g Soccer, Rugby🍷🏃♂️?
I will buy it
Dolf Lungren, this video is KEY. I’ve been trying to figure out why my current tripod is not satisfactory, and now I know why. Thank you!
Dolf here, Thank you! What ws it that you liked about this tripod? Its Height?
😂
Thanks for this video! I was looking over several options and will buy this one!!

What are you thoughts on the Ulanzi F38?
Will it support beastgrip pro with iPhone 14pro max so I can film videos ?
I was looking this tripod yesterday. Good timing to watch your video. 😊 thanks
Hi Jasper, thanks for that. Im happy you watched it just in time. Did you end up picking one up?
@@thefilmalliance i did. It’s on the way 🥰
Can you use this effectively for overhead, top down shots?
Thank you.
Been looking for a decent priced tripod without all the cheepness to it.
This one might just look like the one :-)
good choice! do you have the zve10?
@@thefilmalliance Yes. I'm on the ZVE10
Any recommendations for fluid heads for panning left and right ?
geni.us/bBwS. Here is the one that I use. DO you shoot professionally or as a hobby?

Yes, this tripod is amazing. I bring it with me everywhere I go. It is so great. Thanks for the comment.
Seems like a decent tripod to me! What about fluid heads on a budget for let's say the ZV-1? Can you arrange for a video about that?
Greta idea. Yea that would be a great addition. Do you know of any that you like?

Would this tripod work with a boom?
is this ok to use in sports videos? like basketball
So how do you mount the camera on the bottom of the tripod without turning the camera upside down?
Get a camera cage. The Smallrig ones have plenty of 1/4" threaded holes on the top, sides, and bottom
or just shoot upside down...

my extra cheap tripod just broke dropping my rig to the floor so its time to get a reliable chheap one :D
Ugh oh, I wouldn’t put anything heavy on this tripod
Can this tripod handle a camera and a zoom lens weighing 4.65lbs?
I’d be careful with that
This was awesome!!! How did you get the words behind you in your thumbnail?
Thank you, I used photoshop and cut out the subject (me) and then brought that layer forward. Are you familiar with how to use photoshop?
@@thefilmalliance lol, no. But thank you so much I’ll look to see if I can find a tutorial on how too.
Can the Sony Zv1 work with this?
Yes I used it quite bit with it and it worked great.
I bought one to use for my smallrig set up for my iPhone.
That is a great idea. Thanks for the insight.
the whole video u dont say the tripod model :D and the links are working anymore
Love the content !
Little question, does it allow to shoot portrait? The ball seems like it might not..
please let me know !
Yes it does! There is a slot on the side that allows you to go vertical. Sorry I didn't cover that in the video
Just ordered mine, a tripod thats this good and comes with a n arca plate and ball head? That's Crazy!
Hey Joe, Yes I agree. Have you received it yet? Do you like it so far?
