hi, im sure i have kyphosis especially this part in the video 6:45 like even when i try sit up straight, my head is still going forward and then my shoulders are rounded aswell and i feel like my shoulders are unequal. Even when i walk its visible so im quite embarrassed to walk to be honest and i get pain around my neck, shoulder, back and it starts to hurt my head from the back aswell. I feel like it keeps getting worse, im currently 17 but before that when i was like 14,15,16 i thought maybe when i grow up it will go but it just keeps getting worse and i feel very insecure about it because clothes dont look good or fit well and im having pain from my back or spine. Whats worse is when i stand up straight or sit down in a good posture people say to me to sit up and stop slouching when im really not. Please would you be able to give me advice as i dont want to grow older and feel more insecure about it as its stopping me from having confidence aswell. I called my gp this morning but they said i cant book an appointment until end of june and what my worries are is that they wouldnt do anything about it either or they would act like its because i dont sit up right when i do. Thank you
I went to see an orthopedist doctor about these. I was gonna check for my legs and spine. I said I think I have o legs and that's why I'm here and I also think I have kypho- Well, he interrupted my speaking and said "what's your complaint?", I said my knees hurt sometimes and- he said again more loudly this time "What's your complaint? I said when I walk I tend to walk pressing outside of my soles. He sent me to xray and came back with the results and he said "yes you were right you have slightly o-legs but we can't operate you since you don't have knee arthrisis or 40years old and exercise doesn't work for that". Then he said "next patient!" and I had to get out. Do I need to have a complaint about anything to see a doctor? Do I not have any right to see if I'm okey or not, just to be sure? I'm shocked, I went to medic school and did my internship with an orthopedist for months but I'm not an orthopedist so I need someone to check. I still didn't get a chance to check if I have kyphosis or not which I'm really sure I have after watching your video. How am I supposed to heal, correct myself or at least learn about it? In my country, the earliest appointment for medical examination usually is at least 1 month later. And I don't think I will even try to get one.
Sorry to hear about that experience. It shouldn't be that way. I believe you should be able to ask and get checked out for a potential problem. Then you can address it proactively. I would look at going to someone else as it doesn't seem like that doctor has your best interest. Thanks for sharing and good luck!
Thanks
You are welcome!

Hope it helps. I would seek out a Schroth therapist and work with them.
