Exploiting people in the name of jobs has become a prevalent issue today. We recently made a detailed video that highlighted the ongoing data entry job scam. Thus, this video also focuses on one such scam which several people have been facing in our country which is Mobile Tower Installation Fraud. This racket is so enormous that Wikipedia has a separate page for it too. Mobile tower fraud is sometimes also called mass marketing fraud since people use mass marketing communication tools such as the internet, telephone, and email to commit these frauds.

When anyone asks for money in return of giving you some benefit (eg-job, lottery, big gift online, before marriage, processing fee, college admission etc.) then its fraud.

Thank you so much for your awareness campaign on fraud Tower installation. Infact all the steps you have mentioned that the fake tower company takes is absolutely true. This happened with me but after consulting my sources in the industry I miraculously escaped from making any payment. Thank you once again for this informative video.
Never Ever trust anyone who asks for Processing Fee, or gives assurance of heavy deposits, as genuine companies do not have above two clause for installation of mobile tower

In Kolkata, no Company has their own towers.
There are common towers, all other companies rent it out from the same tower.
They can only place stuff like boosters or repeaters at places (I don't know the actual names)

You should make one on Fake rental enquiries. I got so many fake calls who introduced themselves as Army or other security force personnel looking for house in a new city as they are getting transferred to new locations only to loot me over UPI method. Luckily I knew their tricks and saved myself.

Nice video...few more ways they can ask for money: they ask money to do insurance of your property where tower to be installed. They will ask some 5 to 10% of deposite of the security deposite. That is if they are promising to give you a security deposite of 100000 for installing tower on your property then they will ask you to pay 5% of that amount as processing fee which will be Rs. 50000

Jio came for tower at our home. They were paying 5k per month and no security bonus, they sat with us and tried to explain it to us. There was no processing fee involved. However due to such low payments we didn't accept it

Sab band kar k.. tab se pata chal Gaya ye tower,petrol pump or sab me farzi bahot h..

I am a construction engineer in Jio itself. And Jio or anyother company always comes to you directly in person for tower installation. You never have to pay anything in money be it processing fees or anything else. Wherever there is low coverage, the company identifies 50mtr radius pin point and thn comes to you directly for further process.
I have two working telecome tower on my building from last 8 years and from the experience I call tell you that you cannot apply for any such installation of tower,
Companies will reach you by themselves only if your building is at correct location, of certain minimum height, should be owned by one owner and should have strong foundation.
They will never ask for any security deposit and will never give you rent from first day.
As they need few month of rent free installation/tower constriction period.
Never give any security deposit or any kind commission even if there is any middleman in the process.

I have real experience in working with such company, the highest rental for whole of easter UP was 50k for a side situated between Lucknow Centontment area and Gomti Nagar. Due to its strategic location, company was paying this much of rent.
