I need to say this is the best video of the xTool F1 actually being used on UA-cam right now. I received my F1 a couple days ago and unpacked it all last night. I have owned an Aeon Laser 60W for about 4 years, but I love the small portable form factor of the F1. Again, fantastic job on the video! +1 sub
Well thank you so much! I am glad that you enjoyed it! I have played a very little bit with a larger 55 watt and they are amazing, but there are things I really like about this small one, most especially the “framing” feature which makes it so precise to place things!
I think what is pretty terrific is the DETAIL the laser can give...the blades of grass on my altar board tickle me. As a guinea pig purchaser of the wonderful lovely pieces I gotta say I dig this next adventure of yours. Enjoy the love of this!!!
:D aw, the OG "gotta have them all" :* It is pretty amazing how detailed it can be on wood and I am guessing even more on metal, I just haven't gone too far down that road yet!

Great vid, if you place the triangular prism with the fins pointing towards the fan you get a much better extraction of the fumes, it simply funnels them in the right direction.

Not laughing a bit! In fact, today I received a deck in the mail all about fairies. It’s an old one that I found used on Amazon but I must say it’s the most Fae deck I’ve encountered thus far! It’s The Fairy Pack by Claire Nahmad. What a treasure the pack is, especially the book that comes with it! They are my link with my ancestry and the old ways so respect is essential.@@TheTruthinStory

If you put the cutting grid with the slats going front to back, the smoke goes out faster and more easily as well as helps with flare up

This is awesome Kelly, I’ve been wanting to learn how to make ceramics so I can create my own tools & it never occurred to me this could be an option at home so this is so exciting! & its so small perfect for a home setting it would perfect to make some boxes for my alters & some really cool tarot boxes.
Also your Grand child is going to have the coolest parents/Grandma!.
& would be very happy to buy some Alter Salts from you in those beautiful jars 😊 & those fairy doors basically take all my money 😂😍
Ooo ceramics will be very amazing! You could come up with some great things! I love wood.. does this laser engraver allow you to add color into the wood etchings?
For instance, if you are engraving onto a dark wood could color be added?

Thank you for the video demonstration. Great work! I absolutely love the look of the cedar in the first project! Would like to know where you got those cedar sheets. They are the perfect size.
There is a great company called ocoochhardwoods.com/ and they make the ready to use project wood in 4" widths which I love, their cedar is amazing and I also like using their Alder to cut on with the F1!

Did you make the whole design of the pieces? I mean the assembly corners. Or does the software provide the design for that?
Not on the boxes and such, you can get cut files for the designs and then modify them with the details :)

What are your settings to cut wood please?
It all depends on the wood! I try to stay with softer woods such as cedar and alder for this machine!
What are your cut settings I'm failing miserably
It completely depends on the type and thickness of wood, I realllly recommend doing the test cut/burn on any piece of wood that you are using! It is a pain but at the same once it is done, it helps so much!
