Intuitive AWD and 4x4 in Nissan Qashqai, Rogue, Murano & Pathfinder

This is how the intuitive AWD works on any trim level of the Murano, Rogue and Qashqai when equipped with AWD and the Pathfinder equipped with 4x4.

Does nissan AWd improve handling on dry pavement?

Unless it has torque vectoring, I doubt it. Usually these systems are meant more for traction in bad weather. As you can see here, it only puts power to the rear from a stop to reduce slip proactively.

Can we change the mode to auto mode or lock mode on fly or we need to park the car in neutral to change the mode in Nissan Xtrail /Rogue?

You can change it to lock on the fly, however, there are speed limitations for the lock. Most all wheel drive vehicles the lock is only applicable up to 40 km/h. After that the lock is going to come off but it will engage all wheel drive as necessary. With four-wheel-drive vehicles, you can switch to four-wheel-drive on the fly up to 80 km/h. You should not do it after that.

What year is that pathfinder your in i have a 2014 and have the spin dial should I leave it in 2WD all the time or auto?

I would leave it in 2WD during the non winter seasons when the roads are not slippery. Once you get into colder weather where there is a chance of slippery roads, then leave it in Auto
