I think it's appropriate for a trail bike. If it was an enduro I would expect something a bit longer (and I assume a Dreadnought in the same size *does* have a longer reach although I haven't actually looked)
Alu bike frames are not more “green” compared carbon. Mining bauxite, and process transformation is pretty bad using costic and tons of power to produce aluminium. If you care about the environement you should not be biking.
Not going to quibble about the ratchet upgrade but might be worth mentioning that higher engagement might make “pedal suck” problems even worse on certain suspension platforms. My understanding of high pivots is that this is virtually a non-issue but hey some of us are stuck riding lowly VPP bikes and the like.
To be honest I don't think it would be much of an issue on any bike with this hub. Even with the upgrade, it still has way more play than something like an i9 hydra (and plenty people seem to run those on VPP bikes with no issues.)
Subscribed! Best Druid review video.
Finally found someone in new England with a review of the druid ! I have a v2 on order
Nice! I'll be doing a 1,000 mi long term review of it pretty soon (but my opinion hasn't changed much, I still love it)
How do you feel about the reach in todays standards? Seems a bit shorter than the bikes coming out now

High pivot witchcraft?
Yeah that's Forbidden's marketing tagline for their high pivot system (and probably the reason the bike is called "Druid")
@@CharlieWentOutside then they take up to 11 with the DREADNOUGHT
