    Just rode my new super pig today. One word....Fast. Two words.....Fast as F***! Board rips. Not for beginners but if you like to lay down carves and haul ass with pop for days this is the one. Happy with my purchase for sure.

    I’m really interested in getting my hands on one of these. My jones flagship just isn’t wide enough for me. Being a size uk 11 is not a good thing! Though I’m not much of a park rat , more carving & bombing slopes with some switch thrown in.

    Seems like you might have underestimated the size recommendations. You'd probably have had a much better experience with a S or M at your size. Unless you have a huge boot, I can see why it felt like a lot of board as it was probably tough to gain quick edge access. Somehow you still managed to look so smooth out there though, as usual.

    I am looking on buying the Superpig but I don’t know that if my boot size is to small for this wide board. My boot size is a 7.5, is this too small or will it be alright? Btw you do an amazing job in all your videos, you nailing it! Thanks!

    Hey TJ, thanks for another great review!
    Ive recently bought the 158 Superpig, but now Im having second thoughts if the 154 might be better for me.
    I'm 6'3'' / 210 lbs with size 13 boots and like high speed/carving/big mtn with the occasional jumps.
    What size would you recommend?

    • @connersweeney1485
      @connersweeney1485 4 роки тому +1

      I got the 158 Warpig. Not quite as tall as you (I'm 5'11) but I'm 250. Once you get passed that 200+ mark, you'll need that extra height to balance your weight out on the board. Remember though, the Superpig and Warpig aren't really powder boards. So a little extra height never hurt anyone!

    Hey TJ!
    Just got my hands on a 2020 Ride Superpig. What bindings would you recommend for this board? Most importantly how stiff? You usually wanna match or at least get a similar stiff boots/bindings/board setup, right? I have a pair of drake reload bindings which is on paper a 3/5. Superlight more of an all mountain freestyle bindings. Would this be ok or do you think I should aim towards stiffer bindings with different highback? What is your opinion?
    Thanks in advance!

      I have a Large in the War Pig, but that’s almost too much board. I always have to do a double check on my boards Because I weigh 200lbs and the boards that are often recommended to me are in the 160 range, which I’ve learned is way to big for me, being shorter. Out west I can rock a 157-158 just fine. Thanks for the tip

  • @harryforks6708

    If the Warpig is a 5/10 on the flex scale, how would you rate the Superpig? How easy or hard is it to butter and press with the extra stiffness?
    I'm swaying towards an XL pig now for the extra width (US13 boots, 34cm long!, but already have a Jones Flagship, so not sure if it's overkill considering a Superpig as my second board. Thinking the more playful Warpig would make for a better 2 board quiver.

  • @Indarow
    @Indarow 5 років тому

    I just ordered one today!
    I rode the warpig all last season and really enjoyed it, but I LOVE bombing and hard carving, so when I saw the camber profile with a race base in the same shape, it was a no brainer for me.
    70mph this season? My best on the Warpig was a little over 60.

    • @kingkai18
      @kingkai18 4 роки тому +2

      how was bombing on the warpig? i’m more interested in the playfulness of the warpig but the super pig really intrigues me as well

    • @Indarow
      @Indarow 4 роки тому +1

      @@kingkai18 I’m actually out on the super pig right now. The warping is good for bombing too, (I’ve hit 60mph on it) but that flat base and playfulness are fantastic in the park.
      The super pig’s camber is really fantastic for railing carves and digging trenches.
      Both boards are awesome, but I’d say the warping is a bit more versatile in normal conditions.
      Either choice you make, I can confidently say you’ll be happy.

      @harryforks6708 5 років тому +2

      @@BoardArchive The old 20/20 had good reviews for powder, but mixed reviews for groomers and hardpack. They've added aggressive midbite and a new nose/tail structure to improve on-piste performance. I really hope it has worked, as I reckon it could tick all the boxes for the all-mountain/powder freestyle folk with big feet :)

    • @Chaugar
      @Chaugar 5 років тому

      @Harry Forks Do you feel the new overhauled 20/20 will be better for carving and all mtn riding and less freestyle focused? Would the older 20/20 be better for park and tricks since it would be slightly softer and not as aggressive? From my understanding the old one was still a medium stiff flex if I'm not mistaken. Thanks.

    • @harryforks6708
      @harryforks6708 5 років тому +1

      @@Chaugar To be honest, I'm not really the best person to be asking. Truth be told, I've only owned/ridden about 5 different boards in my 3 years of riding. I havent owned or ridden a 20/20.
      BUT, I've been off work injured for the last few months, so have spent a stupid amount of time reading up on different boards that interest me. Reviews, specs, and differences over the years, from different sources. (read: properly geeked out!).
      With that in mind, here are my impressions: The old 20/20 is great for powder and powder freestyle, and according to AngrySnowboarder, GoodRide and other sources, it was good for carving in soft snow. The problem has been edge-hold due to the rocker and short effective edge. It has been described as medium to medium-stiff by different people. It also struggled with butters on piste due to it effectively being a true twin swallowtail, with regards to flex. So unless jumping/popping from flat, it felt a bit weird and wouldn't act as expected.
      The new 2020 20/20 is slightly longer and has mid-bite. Not only that, but it is full camber, and now has 2 bamboo stringers running down the core. On top of that, the powderhull section doesn't extend to the tips anymore, so the tips should be more stable for jumps, butters and carving.
      In theory it should do everything the old one did, but better and with more pop and edge-hold, without affecting the float in pow much. (It may be affected slightly due to slightly less surface area).
      That said, it'll likely be less forgiving due to the full camber and no rocker. Also it should be quicker edge to edge due to the thinner board width.
      Again, let me reiterate that this is just what I've gathered from reading around and making my own decisions, so don't take it as holy writ!
      I'm torn between the new 20/20 and The Greats UnInc. I reckon I'll probably go for the 20/20 first, as it's wider (I have size 13US feet) and in theory better for carving (Due to full camber), then if I feel like I need/want it and want to treat myself, get The Greats 159 later on.
      I already own a Jones Flagship 162W
