buying a 2007 same model this month. Newbie rider and it will be my first bike! I keep seeing all these comments around the web about how this is a 'girl's motorcycle' and it's funny that all of the stock videos I see almost always show female riders but I think it will be a great learning motorcycle and am certainly not arrogant to the level of feeling like I need some more "manly" bike. I want something I'm comfortable to learn on! (not that your video gave that impression at all!) I will say that while I'm sure you are an experienced rider I feel like videos like this that newbies like me will watch should show you with at least gloves on and maybe long sleeves -- reminder to wear proper gear and be safe. I did appreciate the "let's put our helmet on" comment
never listen any idiot that tells you this is a "girl bike" and Sportster is a girl bike......... only real man rides badass road king etc . F....g morons. Don't waste your life talking to those individuals. Ride what you love it's your life.
Its a light nimble highway capable bike. Lots of fun. Anyone who shoots you down for enjoying a ride on anything you're on has completely forgotten or never even known what makes riding so fun.
No such thing as a girls bike or man's bike. It's a bike. A smaller bike, yes, but it's a bike. If you enjoy riding it, then it's your bike. If not, sell it and try another bike. Many types of bikes out there for many types of riders. I like my s40 because it's comfortable and my ears aren't ringing after a long ride like with my harley.
I got a 2004 S40 & would have loved it but the foot pegs were in the wrong place for me. I thought I would get used to it but never did so I sold it with 4K miles on it. I need the pegs below me, not in front of me. Good stuff: Light, good torque down low, anyone can pick it up if dropped. Probably best for someone with short legs. Knees should be below the pelvis not above.
Very enjoyable vlog riding the Suzuki Boulevard S40. Looks like a great beginner bike. Would definitely look into it as I'm thinking of starting to ride, never ridden a MC before. Age 58. At height 5'10" inseam 30 inches do you think I can flat foot it? Thanks for posting. 👍
What kind of wind shield is that? I bought an 09 in July that has one on it. I took it off because it shakes like crazy, hits the head light when it happens. I want to change it out.
Wow this guy is a real wobbler. But it's all fun. I got a 2007, bought it 6 years ago. I'm 67 and this is the slowest street bike I've owned. It has broke on me; ok. Clutch linkage in side the case broke. There is a famous oil leak just above the exhaust outlet. Valve cover bolts back out. Idle need tro be adjusted a lot. Ok the bike vibrate and things get loose. Over all if you got wrenches and you want a cheap bike for city driving and a low seat this bike just might be your bike. I payed 2k $ 6 years ago for mine. Kelly's blue book says it's worth more now. It's so easy to ride under 400 lb. it's like riding a scooter! The rear break is useless the front break is good enough. So it's so slow you don't need much breaking. But I don't care it's fun to ride. Parts are cheap, And the kids love this bike, they turn it into a bobber,
