I’ve watched several videos (most are from “professionals” repair shops) on this procedure and I have to say, “for a guy who doesn’t know the name of the parts and is using one hand to hold the camera, you did a damn good job and I really enjoyed it!

Thanks for the comment, Randy. Just doing my part to pay it all forward. I get such a benefit from other UA-camrs’ willingness to share their knowledge and experiences (they make me smarter). When I find a knowledge gap like this, I want I do what I can to fill that gap for others. Thanks for humoring this hobby DIY mechanic!
PS, I just rebuilt the head on this engine. Check out those videos if you think it might help you too! All the best.

Just looking at your clutch the belt is not reaching the top of the back pulley which is where your torque comes from.
My sugestion is to check why ur clutch pulley is not fully closed or if your belt is the correct size.
And for the front pulley there is a couple of things you can do.
    1) see if you can fit a bigger pulley
    2) get sliders not rollers
    3) put a mark on the pulley, hit full throtle and see how high does the belt go and if it doesnt go all the way up machine down the splined bushing a little at a time and that will give you more top speed.
    4) grind out the roller canal to allow them to go out more and that will give you a faster responce on low end.
Oh and check the cluch bell and see how worn it is and good luck and drive safe

I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to engines but I have the exact same buggy as you, I'm using your videos to help put it back together. Please could you help me out on the drive system, how the forward and reverse box attaches to the engine. Thanks!

Let me start by saying thank you and great instructional video! One question, I have the same buggy and would like to know if you measured the rollers and if so what size are yours?

Thanks for the video, man. What size is the belt? I got the same buggy 250c. Also any idea why my buggy it won't turn on with the air filter I have to take the air filter from the carburetor to turn on

@@aldovargas5383 sold mine along time ago. Luckily I still had the picture of the belt lol. The belt is 828×22.5X30 . As for the starting issue try setting the mixture screw at 2 turns out from gently seated closed. If nothing changes try doing a valve adjustment( only if you have that experience) and I would also check compression. Hope this helps.

@slowk6gixx1k78 Thanks, I will try that. Every time I press the gas pedal, the engine turns off. Do you think is the clutch?

The variator rollers are somewhat generic. You’ll need to remove one from the variator, count how many there are, weigh it and the use a caliper to ensure you get the right size (width and diameter). I found these rollers on Amazon.
