    I Was given a 2005 cf moto freedom 250 with 1100 mi parked since 2010
    And no spark. Watched many diagnostic vids but all of the volt reading’s came out wrong. Ur video showed me where the stator and wires are n there I found the no spark problem. MICE!! Those varmits had chewed the wires. After a few hours of wiring repair the spark arrived n it started. Thx so much, ur video saved the day

    You have helped me out more than you know. Thank you so much for saying what each piece is called. Helped me find them so I could replace some parts on mine. I’m new to the mechanical and electrical hobby so at least 3 of your videos now have helped me get this thing further in the process. Thanks loads bro. 🤙🏻

      Thanks for taking the time to say thanks. I’m glad it helped. I’ve been doing this stuff since I was 11 years old. Nothing like a good fix. We can go through life throwing away old things that don’t work. There is art and a sense of satisfaction in repair. The UA-cam community is invaluable to keep this art alive!

      @@pattywaktdiy4175 I agree. I spent around $400 repainting it with raptor liner and have been restoring it for about a year when I have time. It’s almost there lol.

    Great video! I think we have the same or similar buggy; a Joyner 250. In our case, it start great and runs great when jump started, but dies immediately when the cables are removed.

      You probably have an issue with your voltage regulator. It's also possible you have a broken wire or some problem like I did coming off of the stator which could cause your voltage regulator to not receive the juice it needs to make +12 volts (I assume yours is a 12-volt system, could also be 6V?).

    I believe you should have 20 to 30 volts a/c from the three yellow wires coming from stator that go into the inverter that converts it to dc then sends 12v dc into CDI

    Mine has 150 psoriasis compression which is why I've decided to not give up on this engine yet. I've gotta get ignition firing n give it another chance

      I bought the stator on Amazon. I'll leave a link but not before I re-emphasize an important point...as explained in the video, I could only line up 2 holes (not 3) to secure it to my crankcase cover. I used Loctite and that seems to have been sufficient. But yes, these are hard to find with the correct measurements.
      Here's the link to the one I bought: a.co/d/emxNHhS

    Hello, could you please give me the link to the repair manual for this engine? Mine is a Gk-06 Roketa buggy with 250cc engine.

    I’m trying to find the gaskets for this motor I gave coolent mixing with my oil an turning it brown do you happen to know where to find the gaskets ?

    • @pattywaktdiy4175
      @pattywaktdiy4175  Рік тому

      Gaskets are pretty easy to get a hold of. You have to search by motor, not buggy model.
      For this one it’s a CFMoto 250cc engine model 172MM.
      The model will be stamped somewhere on your engine.
      Here’s the one I ordered most recently for the motor in this video:

      We have the exact same engine I have coolent getting into my oil i opened the oil pan yesterday but I don’t think it is getting in from there I was curious why there’s a hose going from the coolent cap splitting off to the oil chamber an the valve cover wouldn’t that allow coolent to leak in to there? But I watched your video on tearing down the whole head so I may attempt that your video says I can do it so I’m going to trust that n hope I can your videos are the most informative on line so thank you for taken the time to make them they have been very helpful I’m not a mechanic by any means
