In general I'm not very mechanically inclined and need super-clear beginner instructions, with slow step-by-step, for me to get it and be able to repeat or do it. If I had one suggestion for videos it would be to point those of us starting from near-zero knowledge on how to do some basic tasks or interesting niche stuff like this, with a scripted and _audience-tested_ approach. Like, I can't do this fix yet because I don't even get how to remove the sunroof effectively. Yes, one day I hope to rebuild or swap my 944 but I'm a long way from being able to do that.
Great video I got a question do u set the clutch when roof closes then motor spins free. My other question is. Will motor also slip once I try to retract the arms to the bottom that gears don’t strip out. Ty
The clutch is supposed to slip when the retracting arms are pulled into the body. Loosen the clutch until it slips all the time, then tighten it until it can just lift the roof. adjust a little at a time. If you get that right, the clutch should slip when the arms bottom out.
Hey, can you make a Video or explain me How To set the extracting arms to the plastic gears in the car roof? I removed them a while ago and dont know wich teeth have to Go in eachother. Thanks:)

Sunroof Mechanism on 951 was different between 1986 and 1987 . Tricky to adjust on either one.

Maybe that 13mm “off nut” is in standard?
