Daniel is the best! He personally helped me out so much when I was building my first engine for my safari 924s. I'm so excited to see the documentary on how the 944Rallye car is coming back to life! Can't wait to see Episode 2
Oh my god, dude. Moar pls. I have a 968 I‘m about to rebuild, but it‘s been in my garage for almost two years and I‘m afraid to touch it, because I‘m a 27 year old Electrician and I actually don‘t know shit. I‘ve done breaks before. But seeing all of those people who work on transaxles and love them is really special to me and sometimes you just find some real gems, like you guys. Also it seems to me that Transaxle content is becoming way more common on UA-cam now. Maybe I should join the fray, upload a couple vids myself, and get into the community to get some guidance. People like the three of you really inspire me. Can‘t wait for next episode!
If you go back through my content, you will find I have no idea what I am doing. Just that I am willing to try! Plenty more episodes on my channel and more coming soon
@944rallye4 Totally get you there. IG has really begun to start turning into tiktok. I'm not sure if that's what you meant, but I can't stand how reels are prioritized over pictures.
Thanks for the great video. You guys seem really down to earth you clearly know what you're doing. i have 924S and just love the transaxle cars. looking forward to more videos!
Nearly the most well built Porsche 944 engine. I would say my 944 turbo engine is the Most well built engine. Except for the block, oil pan, girdle, cam tower, balance shafts and covers, and balance shaft bearing blocks, everything else is new Porsche Orem parts. The crankshaft is a NOS 3L crank, forged molnar connecting rods, forged and coated waussner pistons with the offset wrist pin, piston squirters installed in block galleys, new m52 head machined for larger intake valves, Lindsey racing cam, valve springs, oil pickup modification, new oil pump, water pump, PRVs in the block and in the head, cam tower machined for solid lifter adjustment ports, degreed cam, plus all new hardware, rollers, tensioner, gaskets, seals, etc. built up by mike Lindsey. Waiting to install a Vitesse. Stage 4 turbo package.
Guys-Great video! I own a 86 944 NA and did a complete engine rebuild myself actually following service manual steps meticulously. It's been about 2 years since the rebuild and I have been chasing a mystery oil leak. Can I reach out to you for some technical advise. Tried all the forums and notta!
Loved this, quite unlike most other UA-cam stuff too, three honest guys building cars.
Just guys being dudes

I want to build a rally 944. I have a 944 turbo that I love but at 61 its hard to get in and out of it, the rally profile is perfect.
Great start to what will be a fantastic build series!! Keep it up, love a 944, a Rally only makes it better!!
I had no idea you had a UA-cam channel, so glad I found this! I've always admired your 944
Getting sick of IG! So trying to make more long form content

Hit up the guys at @944_safari on insta. They are the ones who built my engine and know everything!
@@944rallye4 Thanks
What if the engine was forced induction?
I dont want more problems when I am out in the wilderness. Keeping it NA and built for reliability!
Mmmmm forced induction 😊😊
Is that Syd's 944?!
It is indeed!
Sell me the crank.
Check out my friend John at just joshin 944 parts, he may have what you want 😊
