Chrome, heres the thing…. You have a right to tale a few days…week. Or more for yourself!!! I am sorry that others who dont understand what craxy busy is… that causes them to be less understanding. They seriously need to understand that we all need some time. Maybe they need to do some things with their time, rather than spend it on UA-cam giving hard workers a hard time. I don't think many people realize how much an art editing is. I agree -- the best creators have an editing style and what viewers appreciate is the authenticity.

Chrome, i worked for a television facility that produced training videos. The "director/producer " was responsible for the content. Therefore, he/she did all the editing.

Chrome, as to what Phil said about not uploading as much. I can only speak to myself, but I am firm believer that this channel is yours. Yes we do support your channel, but you don’t owe us anything! Your content is what we enjoy and if it means that you don’t upload because you have other things going on, then so be it. Your subs will still be here waiting for you to upload and be excited about it. Don’t let it stress you, keep doing what you’re doing!
Don't change anything, edit your own videos, sometimes people can be unreasonable and anyway what is the rush

I absolutely love those last two minutes of the last video! It really felt like I was there. My first thought was oh this is something new for chrome but I really liked it. You are correct. If you weren’t editing your own videos, it just wouldn’t be the same and the charm of your channel is that it’s all you.

100% correct on editing being the biggest part of YouTubing. It might be one of the highest output jobs around. Workflow can help, but even in an episodic series, you're still making a one-off every single day. Easy to burn out.
Also 100% correct. Outsourcing editing kills the vibe. You are completely self-aware of this particular reality. And doing a fantastic job.

As a content creator myself, I can 100% agree with you on the amount of time it takes to edit video. For those that haven't ever edited video, trust me it takes a long time. Chrome, if you ever did get a person to edit for you, your videos would lose your "voice". Every CC, just like every author has a "voice", a style if you will, and no two are alike. The audience would be able to detect the change and would most like cause a drop in viewers. So, keep doing what you're doing. The true followers will keep waiting for your next episode to drop and they will watch every minute of it.
When I sat at the lake with you for that 2 min, I was thinking this would make a great 8 hr Vid!

Chrome! You are exactly correct in not hiring an editor. One of the things I love about your videos is some of the voiceovers. No one is looking for everyday. Continue editing your own videos, that is why I am a fan. I have dropped so many other channels because they slap up any video with very little effort put into video edits and quality. Your art is your edits and background in music shines through in your soundtracks!

Chrome, as you continue to produce a video a day or even most days of the week…you will want an editor. I don’t see a problem with it…it’s called growing and delegating to free up your time. It can still be all you-you communicate with your editor your expectations and what you want from them for the video/vlog.

My comment to Chrome was 100% out of respect. I’m a small businessman and I know what it’s like to stretch yourself too thin and not realize that it may be taking away from other important things. My intention was not to bash him but to have him think if possibly now is the time to get some help so he doesn’t get overwhelmed and totally stressed out.

Chrome posts so much for the past 6 years, a few missed days here and there is no big deal, and are sometimes necessary for getting rest
Many people don’t realize how much work managing a youtube channel is, how long it takes to edit, not to mention the talent that goes into yours. I am shocked at anyone who can post every day. I have a tiny channel, under a different account, and i can never even film and edit on the same day, it takes too long. The production and skill that goes into yours is insane, and you often produce one every single day. It’s mind boggling. Im sorry but anyone who criticizes you when you have to skip days doesn’t know much about managing a youtube channel.
Well, I am GLAD you put that calm scene and hopefully you will make more of them as we can enjoy the calmness of the water, birds chirping, wind noises. At one point I thought you were going to pass gas and laugh hard just to make us laugh or be grossed out by it lol! Now that shop floor, that is beautiful!

Small suggestion: Set a regular "decompress" time. Maybe the last Thursday-Friday of the month, or whatever fits. Talk about it, post it where you can, and everyone will adjust. There may be other times needed, but knowing it's coming will be easier on us. Knowing the company you are building, I'm tolerant of absences. There is a LOT to it, and much is not something to share.

Almost as relaxing as you *looked* while it was happening. I watch a few vlog type channels. A couple of my real favourites (other than yourself, of course) only post once per week! One on a Thursday, one on a Sunday. One or two even post less than that... But I watch because I really enjoy their content and attitudes. You do You. It's that simple. Nobody else can do it for... or like... you.
