this process is going to be similar to all BMW with N63 engines 550i 650i 750i 750Li X5 50i X6 50i
in this case the engine had not compression on cylinder No 5 and this was caused by a damaged cylinder. the cause of the problem is unknown but the could be caused by a failure of any of the internal components of the combustion chamber or by over boosting or over loading the engine.

Great videos and explanations about BMW issues.
There was a video you had uploaded I can’t find it. In the video you removed the oil cap and placed your hand over it while wearing a glove. And you were explaining what it means when there’s suction in the crankcase and what it means when it’s air being blown out. That’s one way of determining to see if the engine is strong or not. Please can you send the link to that video it has very important information.

FYI, a N63 remanufactured block is in the $4,000 range. I just did it. If a garage or a dealer does the work then you’re around the $10,000 mark. Otherwise, good video. 👍
I did one too last year. Now I have a #3 cylinder misfire. Smh.

I believe am having the same problem. I just changed spark plugs so now am changed out the coil. But have missed fire on cylinder #5 still after new plugs. So am change out coil.

Can you please make a video specifically on how to disconnect the pcv (valve) on this specifically f02 (the one in this video) I simply am not able to do it. Can you please do it on the camera!?
The only codes that keep popping up with my snap on scanner is code 14000 , 14404, 14001, basically just cylinder 4 misfire and a message that says exhaust gas damaging after start up? I've changed the spark plug and coil to it and the problem still shows even after I cleared codes but they are literally the only codes that pop up for my car? What should I do? I'm going to post a video of me trying to fix this problem based on your videos and see how it goes! I love your videos too man they really have helped me save big $$!
What do you think about Liqui Moly oil additives, do these hurt the motor? I want to add the anti friction and motor oil saver on my 2001 E38. It runs well and i want to make sure the old motor 185k miles keeps going for 300k miles. I appreciate your comment on this German products.
Liqui moly is a good oil however it was never recommended by bmw, so if you’re trying to get higher mileage out of your engine, I would go with the manufacturer recommendation, shell oil from bmw, they sell it at the dealership, this oil was tested by the bmw manufacturer.
Respect respect. Im having an issue with my n63. My scanner tools is saying code P0328 knock sensor 1 Circuit high input (Bank1) ……….. I searched all over for the engine diagrams and guide on how to replace this part but No luck. 😓😓….. I found the sensor online but have no clue where it’s located and how to replace it safely and effectively.
Do you recommend catch cans?

Hey Francisco! I have a 2018 bmw 320i it went to limp mode then it started saying drive train ,when I turn the car off it goes away and it only comes on when its (idling) doesn't do it when im driving can you help me???
it is a MONSTER of engine damage, irreversible CORE damage ! condolences to the owner . . . well, the New owner's wallet ! the computer probably reported the symptom for YEARRRS and the owner simply disregarded the warning .... for YEARRRS :(
I think you are right! These engines are overenginered because of performance and they must be well kept, diagnosed frequently.

How many mile on this car
I get drivetrain malfunction and check engine light , i think the car service guy changed a coil on one of the cilinders and it was ok for a while but was a used coil to test it. It was off , came on again and after a few hours driving the car calmed down and check engine light off.
Still the problem isnt solved as to when i try to push the car a bit it starts shaking and the check engine light comes on.
It shakes only at very low speed and idle.
Its a 750 Li 2009 n63 , i ordered a new coil but if this doesnt fix the problem what can the issue be ?
I hope no bad cilinders inside ...

Bank 2 sensor 1 is on the top of the engine on the driver side

My N63 engine says all cylinders are misfiring. And I also have P05CC, P05CE, P052B, P054B, and P0015. I'm trying to figure out what it is before I salvage it if it's too much to fix. 😭😭😮💨😔
By the way the car still turns on and is running but I have it stopped. I do have the drivetrain malfunction go off. I replaced all of the coils and spark plugs as well as got new oil in there. The old oil was just dirty. But not too much since I usually change my oil before recommended.

Hi, what is your opinion on using engine flush on N63 engine? I'm planning an oil change and thinking about using Liqui Moly engine flush, but don't know if it can cause any problems or damage. Especially on N63 engine.
I'm burning oil and I think my piston rings are stuck and causing oil to be burned. That's why I wanna try engine flush.

You're most likely burning oil because of your valve seals. It is a VERY common problem on the n63 motor your best bet would be liquid moly oil saver after an oil change.

@@priscilaherrera1047 thanks. I changed all pcv hoses like a year ago. My problem is probably valve stem seals, but I was curious if oil flush could at least help a bit with piston rings

Naw. Rebuilt from BMW is $4200 with heads. Part # 11002346944. Used to be $3500. $2k core charge.

re manufactured by BMW in Germany is about 2.9K. we swap those all the time
What you mean remanufactured 2.9k? It's the price for rebuild?
I wonder maybe there is some proper workshop in Germany who understad this engine and could fix all comon problems even before it fails. As an example: Replace some updated (better) fuel pumps and etc... I think there is no problem with cylinders itself, but some things as failed fuel pump could damage engine? Please correct me if I'm wrong. I just want my N63 to be as reliable as f**k.
