Yes a bunch of characters die. A lot of blood is also shown during fights, favorite anime for sure. Also the school endings are based off the special segments at end of some of the episodes where the characters are in a school setting called Ginpachi-sensei, Gintoki being the teacher. In the actual show/plot the characters don’t actually go to school. They consist of samurai, police, robots, aliens, gangs, yakuza, ninjas, etc.
Enjoy as much the “comical” things as you like, the core of the main plot is an epic tragedy that is much darker and heavier. Aside from the 60% comedy, the serious arcs deal with depression, PTSD, war, prostitution and even child slavery, and mortality and many other from these. Gintama is set on the real life Japanese history (where western countries are symbolized by aliens etc). Dive into it with little to no preconceived notions from standard shonen patterns, and it’ll surprise you greatly. Been through many animes, hands down gintama is my all time favorite. It just never gets old. Hope you guys enjoy it if by any chance you get at it.
Sakata Gintoki, is a war veteran along with Katsura (the guy with the penguin), Sakamoto (The guy whose hair is slight an afro look and with sunglasses) and Takasugi (The guy who looks a villian in the Opening with his other eye covered in bandages) The Squad with the Black coat attire is the Shinshengumi and it's the police in the series, they have love and hate relationship with the main character but They are friends with him . Gintama = "Gin" is Silver "Tama" is Soul = Silver Soul The Penguin costume name is Elizabeth The Dog name is Sadaharu The Ending with a school theme is a parody of Ginpachi Sensei. Ginpachi Sensei is a bonus scene from some episodes where Gintoki is the teacher
A few things- Gintoki is actually pronounced Gin*toe*ki. The Gintama characters are not in school, hahaha, there's a short segment called Ginpachi sensei in some episodes so those styles endings are because of that. Gintoki in fact is one of the oldest Shonent Protaganists being nearly 30 years old. Kagura (red hair) is 14 and Shinpachi is 16. There are no powers in Gintama, lol, and Gintoki at this point is not necessarily fighting off the aliens as at the beginning of the series its already 10 years post war. Kagura funnily enough is an Amanto. Sadaharu is a Dog God, which is why he's so big. I do heavily recommend giving this series a shot. It is very beautifully written
@@Alleypup17 I think what the other guy was saying is that GinTOEki is how you pronounce it properly in ENGLISH. But in actuality, the correct pronounciation of it would be in JAPANESE, which is Gin-Toh-Ki
Gintama anime started airing 2006 and the finale movie released last 2020. There are episodes where they deliberately change stuff in the openings and endings when something happens in certain arcs. Most notorious is when they made one of the openings into a microsoft paint version. Yes there are multiple short arcs and multiple episodes about Elizabeth... the duck/penguin thingy.... And yes he/she/it(???) deserves the awesome bike lol
- That school setting is for little in segment used in last 2-3 mins of some ep(Ginpachi sensei)- nothing related with plot(you can say extra) . Yup Gintoki is the teacher - Ed 5 band song 15th op of Naruto Shippuden 'Guren' - There is 4-5 ep arc for Penguin thing(Elizabeth) - Lol, that beard old guy has same va as Gendo Ikari i.e. Fumihiko Tachiki(Kenpachi-Bleach, Akainu-One piece, Sloth-FMAB, etc) - Burnout Syndromes sang op 2,3 & 4 of Haikyuu! - Gintama started from 2006 My fav Ed is Hana ichimonme(Ed 29 by Burnout syndrome) along with Glorious Days(Ed 25 by Three Lights Down), Kagayaita(Ed 12) and Samurai Heart(Ed 17 by Spyair). Lastly I recommend to watch 1 sec from every ep of Gintama!
Gintama is nothing like your typical shounen anime its a comedy. There are no training arcs, or tournament arcs, or flashback arc per say (you just bits and pieces throughout the show). I highly recommend watching Gintama. There is nothing like Gintama and probably nothing will ever be.
If I could actually hear the endings you are listening to, I'm sure I would've enjoyed this. As it is, it's just some quiet background noise, and unfortunately I don't remember all endings by heart to tell which one you are talking about at the moment.
@@ShonenBrosOfficial I get it, but even a little louder would've been much better. Lots of people do videos reacting to anime music, this is the first time I almost can't hear it ;)

Its pronounced Gintoki not Gintoeki, is it not? Atleast thats how they pronounce it in the anime
@@jimmy-uc3um The TO makes a Toe sound, when people say Gintoki it's pronounced Gintoeki essentially it has a heavy O as opposed to Ah soundm

When you mentioned the sunglasses guy looks like Ikari..
He doesn't..... he IS Ikari. In multiple episodes.
Fun fact: Mr. Ikari and Madao(dude with sunglasses) has the same voice actor😂
And Madao parodies Mr. Ikari a few times :)
No shot! I was just saying that cause they have similar character designs! XD
Also can you do the Gintama Yorinuki opening and endings. These op and ed aired during the re-runs of the show.
14:25 we actually did have a couple arcs/stories dedicated to Elizabeth(the duck)
There is an arc dedicated to that duck thing in Gintama. It's really silly. 😆

Them: Jamming out
Me: Crying tears out
The Kentucky is the Killer than others 2
Also... No School or training arc in this anime because the MC itself already strong or too lazy
Nice reaction! Pls do Gintama Yorinuki openings and endings too they are great!
No it's not a school anime 😂 however there's a segment at the end of certain episode called "ginpachi sensei" where gintoki plays a teacher.
