Ah the good old weather! I make sure i leave 2 working days 'free' each month. This gives me a chance to catch up and your not letting your regular clients down. This has always worked well and often i do other work to fill those 2 days if all is good. Another great vid dave, always enjoy what you share, thanks!!
Its definitely getting colder, not looking forward to the days when the foam in your buckets freezes and you’re trying not to fall over as the water has formed ice around the car your trying to valet. Thanks for another great film.
Thanks for the video Dave. The BMW and Transit came up a treat. Don't blame you at all for trying to steer away from cleaning vans as they are a right pain. Those products and the Nilfisk looked impressive. You're definitely right about how horrible it is cleaning vehicles in the winter. Keep up the good work mate 👍 .

Great video again Dave. Very sympathetic to the problem of putting cleaning the car because of rain. I do this sometimes for weeks on end and I'm just a weekend warrior. After this video you could do one on, "How to polish a turd." But after the BMW you already have.

Brilliant video!! It's refreshing seeing this style of behind the scenes look into the life of a detailer. Sometimes reality is never shown on other channels, and it's just glamours washes, and deep cleans, without viewers realising the struggles that go on in the background. Nice work 👌🏻

Great video. Quick question on van roof, do you have to climb a ladder to reach the top roof panel to clean and mop, prep and finally apply polishes etc ?
So annoying British weather had one weekend, dried off and it showered, dried again showered again and had to give it a hour to eventually get it done, good job really as was running out of drying towels 🤣🤣
Been there done that mate. I bought the transit connect on the day I separated from my now ex wife so my previous van was sold and ever since that day I stayed loyal to old wagon. I did have a few vans at one stage. My clients see me as a modern del boy 😂
Dave, another great video as always! I’ve watched nearly all in the past couple of days! I’m not a car valet, but I do take care of my own having owned various Audi RS models and now just moved to BMW. I still want the best and to look after them. Looking to order A LOT from Yum cars, thank you, but two questions: What dilution ratios do you use? Can you do a video? For example, I’m thinking Valetpro citrus pre wash just for stubborn stain and tar on bottom half of car, but at what mix? Also, Yum shampoo, or bahama blue - how much per bucket to get a lovely foamy wash as per your videos? I’ve tried some producing no foam no matter how much shampoo/wash wax added? Keep up the great work!
thanks mate ill be 100% honest i never spend time measuring out each product for each wash. when you work at 100mph you dont have time but once you know roughly how much to put in it gets easier. i fill up the bucket first with water then put in shampoo halfway the use machine to produce bubbles from the pressure to get me the best suds. Yum is better in my opinion than bahama blue (sorry duel car care but it is)
Great video & info for car cleaning. Just a question: I notice you don't seem to use any sort of breathing filter/mask so are you concerned about inhaling or ingesting any of the products you use, especially the aerosol agents, which may be toxic and have a negative affect on to your long term health, lungs, throat esophagus etc?
Hello Peter thanks for your concern. yeah its a big mistake that im sure i will pay the price for soon enough. I stopped using aerosols about 10 years ago. I do need to take car of myself a bit more. thank you
Yeah hopefully early next year mate. I used kranzle in my mini series with yum cars few months back. Kranzle no doubt unbelievable but bang for buck this p180 is by far the best Machine I've ever owned
do you like any of the bilt hamber products ? they seem great value for money and have excellent cleaning power, i find thier autofoam snowfoam works wonders on our 4x4, the rally cars and the dirt bikes, gets a lot of muck off very easily, deffo gonna try these yum products you use, they look great
Dave, new to ur channel. Would love to do basic car valeting. Do u use a water tank and generator for power or use customers? I want to keep things simple and cheap as possible so don't want masses of expensive gear!
I use water tank if I need it. After 15 years you kind of realise that most people have own power and water and don't care if you use it. So it's Just there for backup
I ve got some ceramic spray from autoglym. I have washed the car today but ran out of time, can I apply the ceramic spray tomorrow direct, or rapid detail or wash again then apply ceramic? Hoping not to wash again!
Good video, more interesting than the usual type so often seen on UA-cam. I can see what you mean about filming adding to the time, thanks for the effort. Accordingly to the captions you were using wheel willies, please don't do a review of them 🤣
Great content and real world info as usual, cheers 😁. I have abit of a odd ball question, what is the best way to see swirls / very light scratches in daylight ? (No direct sun or very cloudy). I get it, the obvious answer is high powered Cree LED light source but is their any tips or tricks to aid seeing imperfections in paintwork.
@@richlee509 thanks for the info..would u consider scangrip lights way different to a high powered high lumen rated led lights, only asking because they are more expensive ofc and was wondering if the price tag reflects (no pun intendid) the performance? I will always be polishing outside in all light conditions and find it hard (Not impossible) to see fine swirls and defects unless the sun is out. Sucks not to have a garage 😑
What would you recomend for someone who doesnt have a watertank for the pressure washer, because i wanna clean cars besides my fulltime job. Just to earn some extra money. Thanks
There is only one pressure washer that ticks all boxes for me on a budget. Nilfisk p180. If you use the cheap small machines you will soon start to get annoyed with the amount of faffing around
Hello I will be 100% honest the BMW was a standard clean so nice and easy £50 but then I look at upsells so tar remover a good £10-20 on top. Same for van. In reality 4 of these on average is easy to do. When I film though it's not possible as I have so much filming to cram in to make every shot 2-3 seconds so it takes all day but in reality I make my money back through and revenue and products etc. With a good system in place these are easy jobs to do. Thanks for watching mate
Hi iv got trigger gun I like to get a nozzle for it for reshibg the water of the car may be getting k5 or k7 do or would you know the best nozzle to use hope you can help it my first time with a trigger gun an a nozzle Cheers
Can be honest try go away from karcher. I test them for a living and I test nilfisk and the two are so far apart. nilfisk core range is a good basic starter machine
Do you always begin with a water rinse rather than going straight in with a snow foam? It’s never say right with me when most of the detailing world is about being sensitive to paintwork that the first step is to blast dirt and mud across it under high PSI….what’s your thoughts?
I think people overthink the whole process to be honest. Cars getting maintenance cleans shouldn't worry too much. The clients understand what's involved. I just get worst of it off before foaming but then again sometimes just prewashing is good enough with citrus instead of foaming all the time 👌
Hi just out of interest when is the video coming out with the different pressure washers ? As you have got me thinking about the nilfisk pressure washer On the nilfisk is the pressure hose a good one ? Compared to the kartcher I forgot to say last time I'm still useing my k2 at mo Cheers my friend
ive got an AVA on its way and trying to secure a kranzle first so that way i will have all the best ones all in one place. everything about the nilfisk is better in every single way mate

Dave, what’s your thoughts on having a nice detailing van (like a transit custom)? Especially with the type of clientele you have.
Been there done that mate. I bought the transit connect on the day I separated from my now ex wife so my previous van was sold and ever since that day I stayed loyal to old wagon. I did have a few vans at one stage. My clients see me as a modern del boy 😂
That urinal comment did make me chuckle 😂
Love the editing style, great mix of entertainment and information
Thanks mate. Hopefully it gets seen by more people but it's alright as long as people like the mad bits. Can't stand being sensible
@@epicautomotivedetailing screw sensible 🤣
When you were cleaning seat. How long does it take to dry.
Wish I knew about this stuff when I drove.
Not long to be honest wet vacs do all the work
It’s freezing in my shed at work doing the detailing at 7 30 am :(. Also yea those new 4 series the front are gross real shame
Yeah mate it's awful in the mornings but eventually it was great outside today
In the run up to winter really wanna get some water proof gloves just wondering what ones you use?
I double up. Mine come from frogchem
Great video Dave 🤝👌
Thanks mate. Thanks for the epic snow foam
I do need to take car of myself a bit more. thank you
Will you be testing the Kranzle brand pressure washer ??
Yeah hopefully early next year mate. I used kranzle in my mini series with yum cars few months back. Kranzle no doubt unbelievable but bang for buck this p180 is by far the best Machine I've ever owned
Brilliant 👏🏻
Thanks Adam
Loved the tour! Lol
Wait till you the tour of Crawley 😅
@@epicautomotivedetailing def need a tour of creepy crawley mate! 🤣🤙
do you like any of the bilt hamber products ? they seem great value for money and have excellent cleaning power, i find thier autofoam snowfoam works wonders on our 4x4, the rally cars and the dirt bikes, gets a lot of muck off very easily, deffo gonna try these yum products you use, they look great
Yeah they are good value for sure. They've not been on my radar for the channel though
Nice video! Your van needs attention 😂 your steering wheel is super dirty 😅
Thanks mate it's not actually dirt believe it or not lol. It's all worn out when I got it sadly previous owner messed it up
Love the tour guide! 😂😂😂
Wait till you see my tour guide of Crawley 😅
@@epicautomotivedetailing epic!
I ve got some ceramic spray from autoglym. I have washed the car today but ran out of time, can I apply the ceramic spray tomorrow direct, or rapid detail or wash again then apply ceramic? Hoping not to wash again!
Do you have a generater in the van for your electrics or do you use the clients ??
I only use clients. Trust me it's very rare that you ever need your own power. Is it handy yes but essential definitely not
Great video
Cheers Mike
I've heard if you use TFR/tar and glue remover you need to shampoo the areas you've done again thoroughly otherwise it can eat the paint?
Good video, more interesting than the usual type so often seen on UA-cam.
I can see what you mean about filming adding to the time, thanks for the effort.
Accordingly to the captions you were using wheel willies, please don't do a review of them 🤣
Thanks mate. Sadly UA-cam doesn't agree. They tend to promote the chilled out stuff. I better change those captions thank you lol
Thanks mate. I just use a bright led light and it does the job 👌
@@epicautomotivedetailing Maybe I've got to up my lumens game :). Cheers
@@epicautomotivedetailing how much did you charge for the bmw ?
@@dillinja187 scangrip is the way forward
@@richlee509 thanks for the info..would u consider scangrip lights way different to a high powered high lumen rated led lights, only asking because they are more expensive ofc and was wondering if the price tag reflects (no pun intendid) the performance? I will always be polishing outside in all light conditions and find it hard (Not impossible) to see fine swirls and defects unless the sun is out. Sucks not to have a garage 😑
Hey Dave where do you get your mitts from
Valet pro, pyramid car care. They all very similar
I am looking to start my own car valet business. Do you think is good idea to start now? In the winter? Or wait till February or March?? Thanks
Always hard starting in winter mate. Motivation levels are always Lower. I'd suggest plan now so when march hits your all ready
What did you think of ValetPro pre wash mate?
It's all good but nothing really blew my mind
What spray bottle you where using? Not in the your list
What gloves do you wear for washing the cars please
from frogchem supplies
@@epicautomotivedetailing thank you
vikan long handle brush for van roofs
good tip 👍
out of interest how much did you charge for the BMW and Transit and then how often would the customer have this service?
Hello I will be 100% honest the BMW was a standard clean so nice and easy £50 but then I look at upsells so tar remover a good £10-20 on top. Same for van. In reality 4 of these on average is easy to do. When I film though it's not possible as I have so much filming to cram in to make every shot 2-3 seconds so it takes all day but in reality I make my money back through and revenue and products etc. With a good system in place these are easy jobs to do. Thanks for watching mate
@@epicautomotivedetailing thanks and I'm not a car detailer but clean my own cars and enjoy your videos for tips.
Hi iv got trigger gun I like to get a nozzle for it for reshibg the water of the car may be getting k5 or k7 do or would you know the best nozzle to use hope you can help it my first time with a trigger gun an a nozzle
Cheers
Can be honest try go away from karcher. I test them for a living and I test nilfisk and the two are so far apart. nilfisk core range is a good basic starter machine
@@epicautomotivedetailing OK cheers thank you
Do you always begin with a water rinse rather than going straight in with a snow foam? It’s never say right with me when most of the detailing world is about being sensitive to paintwork that the first step is to blast dirt and mud across it under high PSI….what’s your thoughts?
I think people overthink the whole process to be honest. Cars getting maintenance cleans shouldn't worry too much. The clients understand what's involved. I just get worst of it off before foaming but then again sometimes just prewashing is good enough with citrus instead of foaming all the time 👌
Hi just out of interest when is the video coming out with the different pressure washers ?
As you have got me thinking about the nilfisk pressure washer
On the nilfisk is the pressure hose a good one ? Compared to the kartcher I forgot to say last time I'm still useing my k2 at mo
Cheers my friend
ive got an AVA on its way and trying to secure a kranzle first so that way i will have all the best ones all in one place. everything about the nilfisk is better in every single way mate
@@epicautomotivedetailing ok cheers 👍some are saying the kranzle tst is a good one the only thing with a kranzle you need to change the oil in it mate though I let you know that with the kranzle ok 👍
