This is so beautiful!!!! I use cement and not jesmonite and I'm still trying to figure it all out as mine don't stick.

Thank you! The flakes usually stick pretty well to Jesmonite. I haven’t used cement so I’m not sure how that would work

@@alexakravcraftystudio I realize it appears to be an easier application with jesmonite

Can the foil be mixed in the base to create a marble look??

Do you seal this afterward to keep the flakes that aren't totally stuck in the mold from flaking off? I just tried my first tray with gold flakes too and the way I normally seal mine won't contain the looser flakes ☹

What did you use for the color, acrylic paint and what Jessamine brand do you use? And how long do you leave the mold to dry for ? Thank you! Xo

I use Jesmonite pigments made specifically for Jesmonite. I’m in Canada so I order my supplies from a Canadian supplier www.madmayker.ca
I leave them for about 20 minutes to dry 😊

Would you add a sealer for the gold flakes or would it be fine as is? Thanks for sharing ☺️

When I made this I didn’t have the proper Jesmonite sealer as it was out of stock for months. But even though it might seem fine without a sealer, I would highly recommend using a sealer!
Also, I have a few trays at home that weren’t sealed and now they have stains on them

Hi! Like them very much! How do you know the amount of the base and liquid per side?

Hi, thanks so much! I will make a video showing what formula to use but here’s an example:
Place mold on a scale, zero the scale, fill up with water and let’s say it weighs 80grams
Divide 80 by 2 = 40grams (this is how much liqud you need)
      Multiply 40 x 2.5 = 100grams (amount of powder)
You always divide by 2 and always multiply by 2.5. Hope that helps!
