Small Hypothesis: Alice is an outlander, just like Lumine and Aether. There has been a mention of a third outlander before Lumine and Aether ever arrive in Teyvat. Remember the three moon sisters and how they died? There was a catastrophe that resulted from a love between a seelie and an outlander. I think that outlander is Alice. As for why she stayed, Klee. Klee, as her child, would need a more stable home to grow in, thus confining Alice to Teyvat (or at least near Teyvat). Alice could also take an interest in the Aether/Lumine this way, two new outlanders arriving after her. I'm p sure it is very likely that Alice and Klee are immortal.

@@pozzsicle They are long living in Genshin. Nothing states that they have immortality in the game. Klee also couldn't have been born before the Archon War as nobody in Mondstadt wonders about how old she is or that she's older than she actually looks.
It is mandatory to put Klee and her mother Alice together on a team. Period.

Didn't Mona come from Fontaine? Perhaps we can get more info about her master during the Fontaine arc, maybe even as a playable character...

Also something that caught my attention is when in the golden apple archipelago event, Alice said to Klee "I'm always near and watching you even if you guys don't see me". The fact that Alice can watch anyone thought Katherine really makes sense with that.
this is backed up because we know katherines all have a hive mind because before we go to the chasm, katherine tells us she went to the narakumi shrine to get a fortune slip. Which must’ve been the katherine from inazuma. If they share a hive mind, how unlikely is it that Alice may hold some sort of physical existence of said hive mind? or at least some way to access said hive mind. She could’ve given orders to Katherines to give said jobs to traveller. Every single time Katherine says something along the lines of “I thought these jobs would be best for the traveller.” Its all suspicious when you take in to account that Yelan was already technically doing work in the chasm already under the directions of some Liyuen government (forgot the name). Surely if it was undercover by someone like Yelan, it wouldn’t need the traveller unless things got out of control or back up is needed but as far as we know, only the Adventurers guild knows of our being there.
I’d say, Alice knew the traveller would need to go there *because* she knew their sibling was conspiring something and the knowledge that was needed to be found in the chasm would be so useful for the travellers future endeavours and also probably push the traveller to make certain decisions she needs them to make, because remember, traveller is excessively neutral in a lot of things until it really benefits them or if the people really need them, so they’d need a push as seeing a fallen nation other than kheanriah and being exposed to the true deep gritty secrets of teyvat.
And who else better would know such secrets other than Alice?
@@The1andonlysharpshooter makes since but if I recall Kathrin exclaimes she uses the same things or something simular to what we use to teleport places. But hive mind does make more since cause how does she know where we are at all times to then teleport to said area.

Alice is a sustainer of the heavenly principles and just wanted traveller to play with Klee, so she prepared some pranks around the world

Did nobody ask how Alice was able to submerge an entire archipelago with a reserved picnic pocket bubble all for her sweetest daughter? This is the sort of magic that supports the Teyvat submerged world theory.
The islands are technically all mechanically operated. But the discoveries in that event tell us the people who once lived there died or moved on centuries ago, and not even THEY knew that the archipelago was mechanical/artificial, much less how to operate it. Alice had to have been involved with its creation, or got to see it back when it was still used for whatever purposes. That lady is oooooooooold.
@@SeraphimDragon She did refer to "Little Yae" in Teyvat Travel Guide, Volume III. She's old enough that even the 500 year old Yae gives her "Okay Boomer" treatment in that volume.

I think the Gods of Celestia or should I say the possible higher powers like the Sustainer are actually on the move on trying to hunt down Alice because of her "Nigh Omnipotent" nature meaning not only Alice knew of Teyvat's laws but also the Celestia's worst dirtiest secrets not to mention the fact that just like what you have said Alice is connected to Gold because why would she continue to hide and give Klee under the care of Knights of Favonius in the first place?
Also I hate to be that person but what if her gift in the Golden Archipelago is not just any 4d Chess shenanigans for Klee and her friends but rather it is her final gift to her daughter because unknown to us she already knew that the higher gods of Celestia will catch up to her one day and the Golden Archipelago adventure is her wanting to show Klee that she will always be there on her side and love her as a mother.

When you pointed out Alice's flaw of not finishing what she started and being kind of a flake, I'm heart broken at the thought of her leaving Klee in the care of the Knights and Albedo because she's not risking her bad habits hurting her one and only daughter due to negligence so its better to leave her in more capable hands.

@@HenSt-gz7qj I think Ningguang would've been a much better mother to Klee than Jean though. If you've done her hangout event you can see Ningguang loves children. She even took the time to teach them and cares a lot about their innocence. Meanwhile all Jean does is send Klee to a locked room for even a whole week, which is an extremely bad thing to do to a child.

This theory didn't age too well. We learn that Katheryne was a puppet from schneznaya and we now know there is a Fatui harbinger that makes robots. Even Katheryne's clothes are the same as the Fatui Harbinger. However,Alice would definitely be very old since she met Rhinedottir and based on the story even met young yae Miko,a character who is 500 years and was around the time when khanreiah got rekt
Also, we know Katheryne does not explode, even when pierced by multiple weapons in Sumeru quest. So she can't even be a copy of Alice's design.
I have a question: 3:41 about Alice being a link to Celestial world. I just remembered, isnt the reason why Alice tried to shoot hilichurls to learn about ascension bcoz she wants to know how Vanessa ascend to Celestia? Isnt that contradicting?

I personally don't think Alice has any link to divinity, or the celestia. She too is a mortal blessed with high intellect like some other mortals that teyvat has seen in it's history.
Even if she really has ties to Celestia, that might not mean she knows how Venessa ascended. I mean, we don't really know how exactly Celestia operates right now, maybe she went there for whatever reason, then came down, then thought "how did Venessa go up there?" and then the hilichurl-yeeting incident happened

Shes not remotely close to being just a blessed mortal, shes not from teyvat at all, and even if you didnt read that, she herself said it on the archipielago to Klee ''we are from a race blessed with longevity'' or something very similar. Also she keeps mentioning things like the concept of idols, bluetooth/internet throughout the things she say to other characters. For example she wants to form an idol music girl group (probably inspired by k pop lets say) and shes so far tried to get Barbara, Yun Jin, Xinyan and Ayaka on it. When Nilou gets released shes probably been hit up by Alice for the same reason too, as Alice mentioned she needs a dancer on the group.
There is a much easier explanation: Alice is an outlander from Earth. Like a literal isekai protagonist.
Also, Katheryne is most probably used by Snezhnaya considering the HQ is there, so its safe to say the Fatui are also manipulating the traveller by that logic. Honestly I think we're just looking too much into it... the adventurer guild just issues commisions, and for better or worse, we're by far the best adventurer the guild has. So ofcourse any commision that's kinda difficult ends up to us, whether or not they are essential to the story (like that event where we collect primos by dispatch).
As for Mona's master and Rhinedottir, it could very well be that Alice was Rhinedottir's classmate and one of Mona's master's teachers. Or Mona's master could be way older than Mona thinks.
Well Snezhnaya is a nation that is known to already be planning to go against Celestia right? (correct me if I'm wrong) so Alice could have purposely chosen to team up with the Tsaritsa (this isn't even speculation, its just some ideas so I could be totally off) or if not "team up" at least use her (Tsaritsa's) plan as a cover to keep hidden
Interesting theory... but Earth doesn't have elves, so it doesn't really hold up.
She is from a different world, though, and she has likely visited Earth before.

There was a line during the Midsummer event/ golden apple archipelago update, Alice was able to traverse through worlds, at first I interpreted it as Alice was also an outlander. Alice is also an omniscient being that can predict the past, present, and the future as what albedo said. Alice also visits "them" sometimes without them knowing.
What if Alice is an outland ascender that can rival the celestials?
Btw some sources says that "Ascenders" are different from "Celestials". Celestials are born or created in Celestia like Asmodeus, Paimon, etc. While ascenders are being like Venessa, Venti, Zhongli, etc.
I'm going to argue you there. The Archons didn't stop caring about the rules of This world after meeting the traveller. They HAVE LONG DISREGARDED THOSE RULES BECAUSE OF CELESTIA and the Cataclysm.
Zhongli had made a contract with the Tsaritsa to end all contracts and was able to step down from Archon.
Venti voiced his displeasure of Celestia long ago.
And Ei had cut ties from Celestia 500 years ago. Heck, the Sakura tree was Makoto's way of Freeing Inazuma from the clutches of the Heavenly principles.
You are probably giving Alice too much Credit because the current Archons we have met so far have long had displeasure with Celestia and just now had begun maming their moves.

Minor note, I think Makoto said that in the moment of planting of the Tree it was freed from the clutches of the Heavenly Principles, meaning that it was able to exist out-of-step with the normal laws of time and space. The Heavenly Principles are sort of analogous to "the natural order/laws of the universe" kind of concept.
Indeed. The Archons, those we met so far at least has been on edge with celstia for a while. For Ei it was when Makoto died, don't know about the others yet. It's just that the archons couldn't do anything rash because their subjects, peoples were in line. Venti and Zhongli are aware about the the Tsaritsa's plans and supports it, that alone says a lot.
@@justsomeguywithgreenhair I don't believe that Venti 100% support the Tsarista's plans, which is why the Fatui had to forcefully take his gnosis. Everything else is pretty spot on.

I personally think the reason Alice is still roaming free with all that knowledge is because she moves a lot and keeps outside of the gods' gaze (I also wont be surprised if she doesn't have a vision and just uses mechanics, astrology or alchemy as her power). I'm saying this because it seems like only knowledge, and not opposing the devine, is enough to get destroyed by Celestia. See Sal Vindagnyr, Orobashi and (almost) Lisa. But perhaps true knowledge always leads to opposing the devine and Celestia wants to remove dangers early? Then Lisa stopped at the right moment. But then, why did they not stop Rhinedottir sooner? Could it be that this Hexenzirkel has their base in a place where the gods gaze does not fall? Speaking of, it would be interesting to find out what they think of Rhinedottir's attack and if they saw it coming (if you hide together you'd probably notice a big black dragon being made). Did they support her attack or did she snap? I believe the latter since Albedo is afraid he'd one day lose control and destroy Mond. His fear is understandable if he saw it happen to his own master. Just my thoughts!

Lisa is pretty smart she’s nearly there if she stayed in sumeru and kept learning more and more until she was literally the smartest well Lisa knowledge is completely unknown since she acts so chill and literally said “I suppose I need a vision” and she got one so if they gave her a vision from basically thinking that’s weird how would she get a vision unless it’s not legit because she doesn’t need a vision to use her magic so the way she summoned one with a thought is somehow telling me she has more powers then what she thinks my theory is that Lisa gave herself a vision instead of the gods because she gets one from doing nothing but thinking also she holds back a lot I feel like it would take Jean to be in danger for Lisa to show full power Lisa’s power is unknown but I’m assuming it’s comparable with Signora but I’m not sure but if my theory about her summoning her own vision is just crazy because how she doesn’t need one and it appears unless the gods love her she must be way stronger then what she acts yes her years of life are shorten but she maybe strong who knows but her knowledge is unknown either she could be smart and equal to Alice she did graduated from sumeru as top student in a 100 years I think something like that but the way she summons a vision with a thought questions what other power and how strong Lisa is if she could just think a vision into existence.
If this is true, then we may never even see Alice at all at this point, this is the best theory
I imagine Alice sitting in a bunker somewhere with a bunch of monitors because she hacked all the visions in the world and is keeping an eye on things through that network.

Since the archon quest of Sumeru, we know that Katherine is a Sneznayan puppet, this might invalidate a part of your theory, but interesting non the less
In 3.0's Archon quest, it is confirmed that Katheryne is a bionic Snezhnayan puppet, probably made by Sandrone. So, if anyone is doing the manipulation, it's the Harbingers.
Alice seems like the person you should’ve never mess with even if she’s okay with it
Isn't the Adventurer's Guild based in Snezhnaya? Could that mean Alice is the controlling entity of Snezhnaya or is very close to them in order to send instructions to Katharyn?

Based on all the information we have on Alce (the TTG book) , fir some reason she appeared to be bothe exceptionally smart and sometimes really dumb so it's hard to say whether or not she's capable of such in-depth planning
Also i think she was only aware of the Shogun being an Archon but not Venti or Zhongli so it cannot be taken as a definitive proof that she dislikes the Archons and her thought on each of them does have truth to them in one way or another
To add to that. If you read the Inaxuma Travel guide. There was an incident at the imperial Kitchen where she injured Sara's wing for a month. And she has avoided Alice since.
Apparently, she apologized to the Shogun for the incident. Important to note, she was given permission by the Shogun to work in the Imperial Kitchen.
Given her ties to Little Yae, Ei clearly knows Alice and there are better terms...before the entire exploding kitchen thing.
Acting dump and careless doesn't mean they aren't a genius or a mastermind. Take venti. He will be the only archon sticking around for too long in the deep lore of the game unlike Ei and zhongli who seem to have reached their goals (retirement for zhongli / the proper character development for Ei) as for venti even his story quest is filler and basic like other characters compared to Ei and zhongli stories. So that means thing will definitely get spicier. And he is connected to istaroth etc.. So Alice acting Dump doesn't make her any less important. It's her personality and way of doing things or maybe to even keep attention/suspension away from her and you fell for it 😅.

What do you mean Zhongli and Ei reached their goals
Zhongli's goal wasn't to retire, he just wanted to entrust Litue's next era into the hands of humans because of what he experienced at the harbour , which if he hadn't he'd still be the Geo Archon and not to mention Ei herself say that his story is far from over. As for Ei her character development doesn't mean she reached her goal but far from it. Even if she took the role of Archon 500 years ago, her actual story as an Archon has just began after the the part 2 of her story quest
"Venti's story quest was a filler"are you sure you were playing the story quest and not just skipping through it because if your were paying attention you'd know how good and well done his story quest was. If you would pat attention you'd know how much lore he gave about himself in that quest. just because he has some connections to Isthroth doesn't mean you just disregard the other Archons.

The truth maybe so much simpler than this, specially with all the other infos we have. But again, this video is a theory, not lore so, yeah.
Zhongli's goal wasn't retiring, his primary objective was to let the mortals take care of themselves. Remember that was his primary goal. Handing over gnosis to the tsaritsa was also another goal, and many goals still remains unknown.
Getting a character development arc doesn't mean her role is over. She needed a development arc because she had room for development ar current. Zhongli is already a developed character, he has seen and created histories. So is Venti. So they didn't need one at current. So instead of character development, We got to know more infos about teyvat and themselves in their story quests.
Venti's and Makoto's connection to the thousand winds remains, so does Zhongli's unspoken contract. So there are plenty of rooms for their further involvement.

I have a theory, that Alice may just be Elysia from Honkai. Hear me out on this,
So as we know Hoyoverse brings popular Honkai characters to Genshin impact, but changing a few bits in personality and name here and there. It usually gives similar vibes to the honkai character (I think except for Venti). Currently, Elysia is quite popular and quite a special character. Also, Alice has a very similar name to Elysia. Both of them are strong but carefree and intelligent. Also mysterious. Plus Elysia has Elf like ears, which will probably be present on Alice too as we know from Klee. I know Elysia looks nothing like Klee, but Klee may take her colour scheme from her father.
Just an interesting thought.
That is one spicy theory. I can definitely see Alice as the sort of person to do something loke this given the whole Golden Archipelago event. That said, isn’t Adventurer’s Guild HQ in Schneznaya? I have to wonder if Alice has any connections to the Fatui if she did, indeed, make Katheryne.
Alice is adventural and does alot suck & repeat for her experiments. Katheryne, indeed might be her creaton, but the one order it could be the Tsarisa herself.
You know, the famous phrase < "You scratch my back, I scratch yours." (Help me, to help yourself), it is kinda the same deal. Tsarisa might help Alice go undercover in exchange for Katheryne's services. Also not all of Fatui's work is dirty, they expand in all form of mercenary odd jobs.
The fact that she have an interest in Aloy, an outlander. Then makes sense that she puts an eye on the twins. But i am confused on how she can teleport and travel from universe to an other ( Considering ley lines are just the veins of the world that has teyvat. We donno how worlds are connected)

Didn't Mona had already some kind of magic before she even had her vision? Let's assume that visions are cctv's theory is true, it might be Alice is visionless and has some kind of magic being a "High Elf" and all and maybe that's why Celestia won't even know where she is, being visionless.

Well celestia has to watch everyone achievement in the first place to grant them vision, with alice scale of skillset and achievement i doubt celestia will overlook her. but then again she could just get rid of her vision, the only reason keqing didnt get rid of hers was because shes afraid it will fall to the wrong hands
We have enemy mob that use elemental attack so there is no rule saying you need vision to use them,only that tevyat human on average don't have such power

Well. Usually, Genshin characters have the same Japanese voice actor as their Honkai counterparts.
Like Raiden Ei and Raiden Mei(voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro).
Alice is voiced by Kikuko Inoue. Elysia on the other hand is voiced by Marina Inoue.
Both have the same Last Name(albeit just by spelling).
So we could theorize this as Alice's base design.

On the topic, I don't think Alice commenting about the archons has anything to do with her liking or disliking them. She just wrote what she thought, gave her honest opinion, because that's how she is. Also, the archons looks over their region through the Statue of the seven and the occuli, so any action taken within teyvat won't go past them.

I doubt that, Alice has an important role in the game even if it doesn't go according to island's theory, she made the apple island mechanisms herself, and she's Klee's mother who herself is a playable character so why wouldn't Alice be one? and she's a part of Hexenzirkel. She also knows Zhongli, venti and Raiden personally, she made the Tevyat Travel Guide, and she's at least 500 years old now as she knows of Yae when she (yae) was young and met Washizu when he was still the head of Higi village and was sane, AND she also met Asase Hibiki at the Asase Shrine, and all of this (from when I assume she's at least 500 years old) was mentioned in the latest volume of the tevyat travel guide. OH and as she is AT LEAST 500 years old, she must know more about the cataclysm right? Zhongli won't say because of the contract, Venti brushes it off, Raiden wasn't present during it, so MAYBE she witnessed the cataclysm herself or knows one that witnessed it, and I can also guarantee that she's at least 500 years old as she and Klee are of a race that ages slowly and with the stuff that I mentioned above.

If what you said is true, shouldn't the fact that Alice is the unknown god also be a possibility? You mentioned she left things unfinished, and had an easy going personality. When the unknown god confronted the traveler and the sibling, with her power she could've killed them, yet she stopped their attacks, captured one, and failed to capture the other, but before she sent the traveler on their journey, she looked at them with pity, as if she's knows shes doing something wrong? Klee did mention that her mother is a really nice person. And we can see that the unknown god possesses explosive powers which are layered by the cubes, which could link to her being pyro, and the cubes have a symbol similar to the quantum element in honkai, maybe this is something that allows her to create her gadgets and such? In the latest summer event with the Kazuha, Mona, Xinyan, Fischl, Traveler and Paimon, we are given a phone like device which was made by Alice, this could be something that she uses to keep in contact with the adventurers guild in real time. Not to mention the thing we used to teleport to the islands, it could be something similar to the waypoints or something to do with how she manipulated time and space to teleport the traveler in the opening cutscene. And maybe she isn't showing her face to the traveler because the traveler will recognise that she's the unknown god and attack her? which may ruin her plans of leading him to find his twin and fight the abyss and celestia (Ad astra abyssosque - Katheryne, also linking this to a theory by Wein). We can also see that Katheryne has a keyhole on her neck, which could mean she's also one of Alice's gadgets. In the event it also said there is a god controlling the mirages and such, but they have no ill intent, could this also link to something?

In Honkai there is a character called Su, he possesses a device called "Key of Sumeru" which basically allows him to observe other bubble universes. In a dialogue about watching other parallel worlds, he spoke about a time someone noticed that he was watching their world. He said:
"In that world I am a woman, but one harboring great malice. She weaved an illusion that ensnared the entire Earth with a spirituality far superior to mine."
This could obviously be about ANYTHING. But personally, I took this as a Genshin hint. We do know there is a great lie being sold to the world of Teyvat already. It made me think of the Night Mother. Just something to think about.
She also wrote the Teyvat Travelling guide (which is more about Alice "fun" journey around Teyvat), And the Traveler is "using" this guide as main information in their journey !

So if you don't want to read the whole thing here's a summary, klee could be part khanri'ahn.
We know from one of the story quests that Klee's mom, Alice, left Klee in the care of Albedo. One of the things I found strange about this is that Alice is klees mom. Alice was described as a caring person so why would she leave her kid in the care of a random guy? Well I think Alice could’ve more or less known Albedo in some sort of way and trusted him enough to take care of klee. We came up with 3 ways they could be connected. (if anyones interested I can send you a doc or smth about it) We know albedo was created by a guy named Rhinedotter (I think that's how you spell it idk) who is from Khanri’ah. If Alice knew albedo, she would've had to be from Khanri’ah herself.

Alice would definitely be one of the main piece for the main story, much like Dainsleif, she might be someone who will lead the Traveler to unravel the truth of Celestia, I won't be surprised if she won't be playable until we reached Snezhnaya or Khaenri'ah.

If this theory is true, i immediately thought of something. Alice could be working for or with the Tsaritsa.
Think about it. If Alice were to seek out the truth of this world she would need to seek out a god that would work with her and if the Tsaritsa were to oppose the Divine she would need a great asset who understands the way this world works. There's evidence that she could be working for the Tsaritsa becuz THE ADVENTURER GUILD'S MAIN BRANCH IS AT SNEZHNAYA SO THE TSARITSA CAN MONITOR ABOUT EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE THERE WHENEVER SHE NEEDS NEW RECRUITS AND SHE COULD MONITOR THE TRAVELER THIS WAY AS WELL.
This way i think that the time we meet Alice and her being playable would be at the end of Natlan or when we reach Snezhnaya and meet the Tsaritsa in person.
(ok this is only my speculation about the story at Khaenri'ah or before we fight the Unknown God)
If my theory were to be correct, After the end of Snezhnaya or before the end of Khaenri'ah (i think after the Traveler sibling die when she or he summons the Abyss alongside the Fatui but im not sure), I think a god from Celestia or the Unknown God would need to persuade Alice by using Klee and Albedo to threaten her or kidnap her alongside Albedo and Klee and also taking Dainsleif with them. This way Albedo would be sacrificed by blocking the Gods from touching or hurting Klee. Albedo dies then Klee or Alice with the Traveler would go berserk and would try to kill the Gods. Alice or Klee gets majorly injured then the Traveler gets mad like what happened when he saw Teppei died. Traveler fights with the Gods then gets majorly injured, Dainsleif tries to protect him/her, gets injured, Paimon steps in then Paimon becomes the Primordial One and retains her past powers and form. Epik fight (maybe we might get to fight the gods with Paimon's power cuz the Traveler can't fight 1v1 with the Unknown God even with their original powers) , fight ends with one of them dies or both of them dies. end credit rolls.

I've always thought that Alice is way more stronger than what people actually believe (And that is saying a lot considering they say she is the strongest in Teyvat) I believe she quite literally has the power of a god. Witches are often connected or related to Night and Moon
In the past There have been 3 Moon Goddesses rulling over Teyvat, and currently We know of 3 different Moons in Teyvat, 1 being located in Spyral abyss, 1 In Teyvat and third one in Login screen which is possibly Celestia
Rhinedottir is Tied to Abyss, Alice is Tied to Teyvat itself as she is exploring Teyvat and Monas Master is tied to Sky above so Celestia
How come we never heard of other members of Hexenzirkel?
We Know that 3 Moon Goddesses died long time ago, but what if their ideology and legacy still exists in form of Hexenzirkel and Alice, Monas Master and Rhinedottir are something like their Avatars?
