I Found a small scrape here in MS and put a camera on it and got several bucks and doe's coming into it. Most of them young but one a decent 8 pt probably a 3 yr old. So yes hunting over a scrape will be successful and honestly never know what will show up. Like the decent buck I mentioned, he came in to it only one time at 5 a.m stuck around for about 5 minutes did his thing with the licking branch and left. But the 5 days the camera has been setup I've got videos everyday of deer working that branch.
mhmm. Most people don't think about scrapes during the early season.

@@RelentlessSportsman they'll be hot spots until the bucks start chasing does. Once the bucks start chasing I recommend hunting a saddle. For ppl that don't know what I'm talking about it's where 2 hill tops are close together, hunt the low spot in between. Deer will travel through and potentially give you an opportunity on a nice deer
I hunted public today seen a spike work 2 scrape today I found 4 got cameras on 2

I saw a spike on Saturday that looked like he was already chasing. That was the 8th of October - super early, even for around here.
