I am looking forward to the bin site fiasco to be settled, so things can get fixed. Such a let down.
Hopefully they seek damages for each day the bins are not repaired.
That's sure nice of Ellie to babysit you so you don't get into any trouble. 😏
You raised good sons and your father raised a good son . God Bless The Cornstars .
It is a shame that all your plans with the new bin site is not working to plan. I know all of you are frustrated with the quality of work the builder provided. I also know you have to be careful with what you say about the bin site because of the lawsuit. You would think with the exposure you and Cole have in social media the builder would be jumping through hoops to make sure it is right. Everyone at the bins please be extremely careful, we would hate to see anyone get hurt. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
Daddy CS, as a 52 year old welder and fabricator, I have been watching how this has transpired and my heart goes out. My dad was a fine craftsman and my grandfather was an airplane mechanic, so I was taught to do the job right and take pride in your work. When I build things, I give it 110% so I know that it’s done right. I hope you guys get this all resolved but it still hurts my heart to see such wonderful folks get taken advantage of by greedy, sorry people. Prayers for you all. Much love from NC.
Don't tell Cole but I watch your videos first before Cole's when given the choice. You all start my work day just right! Thank you!
Love Ellie, she's in your shadow all day! I understand your frustration about the bins. I hope in due time, you will get a new and better dryer once your bin lawsuit is resolved. It won't be long you will be done with harvesting.
Hi Ellie... Who's a good girl ??
I think Ellie loves her grandpa too. Seems like that little dog is always right in your shadow! We love you DC, and i dont blame you one bit for being pissed off about that bin site. Seems like nowadays its how everything goes. You used to expect good service and you were shocked when you got bad service. Now its like everywhere you go you expect bad service, and your shocked when someone actually does their job right!
Would visiting 2 job sites done by the builder before signing solved most of the problems ?
Hang in there Daddy Cornstar, have faith everything will work out for you and your sons farm 🙏🙏🙏
I was told by Cole to come here and ask you what you know about making a massive dent in the ceiling from the combines auger! lol
I supervise the grain site at a ethanol plant, I spray paint half the diameter of the shafts on conveyors so I can keep an eye on them from a distance.
That was some pitch, D.C. I hope your whole family has very happy holidays this year! Don't forget to thank Mama Corn Star for all she does for you!
Thank you, Mamma Cornstar 🌽🌠 you are very awesome! 💖💖
Look at Daddy Cornstar being a fashion model... let's go!
You have a right to be upset with the bin-site folks. They did a crappy job and they need to pay for it. I'm sorry that you guys are having to go through this mess.
Keep a leaf blower nearby the pit to help clear the belt smoke out when you blow a belt down there. Just noticed you said it takes a long time for the smoke to clear before you guys can physically get down to change the belt. Just my brain churning with ideas... Happy Harvest guys!
🔥right on dc, def feel your pain with the bin site setup not working out the best.. stay positive boss and keep on pushing forward, rest will fall into place 🔥👊🔥🏍⚙️🔨🚜🌽no need to correct yourself dc, grandpa and you worked your tales off for decades to keep the farm and equipment rolling, the next generation only been farming 5 yrs. U been at it 50 yrs, your opinion in 1st in line
DC, your controls electrician could add proximity sensors to those shafts to help automate the monitoring you're having to do.
What a great guy you are. Full of the love of life ,family and animals. Fantastic attitude to " let's get it done!" And with a genuine appreciation of What you have, and all around you. Plus your enthusiasm in your videos would be the perfect motivation lesson.
Thanks, take care, all the very best you and all your family
MARK over in the uk uk
D.C. those memories are so neat. Never feel bad to sit back in the chair. Ellie loves you and it's good she says with you during the day.
I rem the Casey donuts n Parkston SD! Great memories Daddy Cornstar!
You’re the best DC! Praying for your family!
You stay positive. Praying that your bin site situation gets resolved 😮
DC, we ALL can see your frustration, and we ALL can certainly understand why. Someday, my friend, and I wish I knew when this will come, but, SOMEDAY, you will be able to look back on this, and say "remember when we were operating almost to the point where we were crippled? Remember the bottlenecks, and that old pad the dryer bin sat on, the one we couldn't fill? Remember how the bins were litterally.. (well, you know what I mean). And those things will all be in the past. I know that becuase you folks are good people, and you are smart people, and you have the right attitude and mindset to overcome obstacles. That's why I watch, to see you and your family adapt and over come. You didn't think I watched to see your sons drive around in circles for a month a year, did ya? Hang in there, my friend.
Feel for you Daddy Cornstar. I ran the drier at home for a few years. 2am to 10pm. It's monotonous. Hopefully you will get a result from the courts to enable everything to be fixed properly before next harvest!!
The dryer and The supply chain, If you order a drier soon, You may have it installed for next harvest.
Your patience and knowledge is amazing young man. Thanks for sharing
Good luck with the revised bin site foundations ect. Do startups in build stages. I hope insurance carriers are fair and the contractor survives to pay for there miatakes.
We had the same exact moisture tester when I was a kid. Brings back memories. Nothing would last that long today. Keep up the great work.
Love your positive outlook. It helps more than you know.
Get rid of the belts. Change over to chain. Chain will stretch so go gear driven.
You gave it away with those Size 1 diapers in that box there. Most people probably hadn't noticed that back then But it was a big sign that Nave had her baby or was having him soon when this video came out in mid November!
Have you considered replacing the belts with metal chains or some kind of gear system?
Nice memories of your Dad
Christmas will be here before you know it. If you had wanted to get Summer a nice little side by side for getting around the farm reliably in any season, I was thinking that you might want to reserve it now before it's too late !
Thanks for the video Summer and DC too for the little bit he added to it. 😜
Summer doesn't edit the videos anymore she stopped at the start of the year.
She stated a while back she'd taken the decision to step back and no longer edit the videos anymore, she hasn't said anything about going back to it so I assumed she hasn't. Maybe it's just the odd ones she does now and again or she's just doing Daddy Cornstars as he does less posts but she hasn't said anything on her page. I can only go on what she's posted. 🤷♀️
I seems yal have had nothing but trouble with yal new bin system !! When you get new bins & the hole system it surpose to be better & less headache then the old bin system. Stay safe
❤ DC as ALWAYS I have enjoyed watching your shows. You and Ellie make a great team for each other. ❤
Those grain bins will never be right and even if they gave you all of your money plus the concrete pad you still have to have to take
Them down then store them somewhere out of the way you'll need to rebuild
You always cheer me up . Great sense of humor.🌽🌽
We need some move videos. What's new, the boys, grain bends. Like your videos.
Daddycornstar I commend you for keeping your cool I would have lost it along time ago about the bin site your a good man God bless cornstar farms❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Look how dark it is..... 😅
God bless you all.
Very cool break room. But I am very very short how disorderly and messy it is. It could be such a organized break meeting room. I am surprised your son Cole let it get that disorganized cluttered and messy he is such a neat freak😂😂😂 you need a big dining room table a refrigerator a big trash can. And some organization😅😅
DC your thoughts at 12:00 into this video are 100% exactly what it feels like to he a real man. Always finding out that what you wanted is already past you once you get to it. We have the world in the palm of our hand when we get to see our childhood again through our kids eyes though. Its almost like living it all over again as they learn the lessons we never forgot. Great video, and thanks for the moment to remember my Dad.
SUKUP mixed flow grain dryer. Maybe they can fix the other crud too.
I pray for a good outcome for the bin site.
Harvest will be done soon.
You made me laugh pretty hard with the donuts. Fellow donut lover.
And the one you ate is exactly the same kind i just did! Too funny!
I am also very frustrated and fearful of that bin site. I live in fear of anytime one of you guys is underneath it or in the Cadillac shack. Please be as safe as you can around it. I know you are I guess it’s just mainly it scares me. God bless and watch over you all as you finish harvest. I pray this bin site disaster gets resolved correctly as soon as possible. ❤️🌹
I sure hope your law suit gives you complete rebuild costs (which between inflation & demolition pre rebuild) in addition to lost earnings will probably be a sizable amount more than they were paid.
Thieves need to pay.
Ellie is loving the He Shack.
My dad had the exact same moisture tester! Just listening to the corn fall down into it floods back memories! 😊
DC, watching Cole's video. You really need a safety harness on when you're up on that piece of junk bin site.
'Cuddle up to mama corn star and get some 💤 , adorable ❤
DC.. SEE IF YOU CAN FIND OUT HOW MANY OTHER BIN SITES HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS. HOW MANY OTHER FARMERS ARE GOING THRU WHAT YOU ALL ARE GOING THRU. GOD BLESS YOU ALL. AND PLEASE STAY SAFE
How long until what's going on with the new bin sit will you get a answer on who or what's going to fix it?
Hi dad constar if you get the left blower to get the smoke out of the pit it will be quicker than wanting for the smoke to go on its own I get a lot of pleasure from you and Cole here in Newmarket suffolk in the UK thank you and God bless you all 😊
Change the belts to chain...
You need to upgrade your moisture tester
I really wonder if the pit out auger should be a chain setup or need another belt to reduce slipping to much.
Getting any closer to getting bin site fixed. Feel for you guys that you have to deal with this
I think Ellie would like some chew toys to keep her busy while she spends her days with you. And a dog bed in the corvette.😊
Thank You for keeping an upbeat. God Bless 🙏
could you use chain drive instead of belt drive or would that burn out the motor
Hi DC . You are the best!! I love your channel ! You always have a joke or saying that are hilarious even when you are upset or tired. Hope your bin site gets settled to your satisfaction soon. We all would hate for you or your kids to get hurt . Take care . Deborah 🇨🇦
Good show D.C. ! 👍
Try Aramid belts. Same fiber as kevlar.
Love the time you spend with us daddy cornstar. Thank you for all your information.
Sounds like you need that pit to run half the speed that your at w gear reduction…speed…well that corvette need a programmable to race mode…haha
Ellie loves grandpa cornstar
Love the sweatshirt
DC you need a wholesale account for belts. That auger is just part of the problem. I’m still in amazement how messed up that entire bin site is. You’ve got the patience of a saint.
That bin site seems to be a nightmare I am truly sooty you got ripped off. Buy that crooked contractor
could you switch from belts to using chain instead . Seems simple get some sprockets and a chain and see what happens
Ellie is such a great superviser!! This bin site has been such a let down from day one. You spend good money and trust people to do quality work and then you get this.. I hope the lawsuit is resolved soon. We have all seen the terrible work that was done and that breaks my heart that they tried to take advantage of your family. Don't give up DC!!
DC I left a few of my thoughts on Cole’s video today..not trying to be negative. As many of your followers feel your safety is priority. You and your family cannot be replaced especially when there are other alternative options. Yes it will be a financial loss but it’s worth it if you and the family are safe. Possible recovery when you go to court. I know it’s easier said and there is a lot on the table. I can’t imagine how hard it is for you guys. Is it feasible to use the public grain bin? When you cry we cry..
Sadly they're stuck in a catch 22 situation now, if they do repair things then at the trial the other side can claim that their repair caused the damage or that it voids the warranty if they do anything. Cole talked about it towards the start before they started the lawsuit but now of course they can't say anything until the trial is over or it could be used by the other side that's why they have to be so careful about what they say. 😠😠😠
Bin problems no good. ☹️ . Wish you better days.
The pit might be a confined space. So with burnt belts, you should have some forced air system bringing in fresh air when servicing. Use the same fan an electric worker uses in a manhole.
The air may be oxygen deficient. A sniffer might cost a bit but save a life.
Use a no entry rescue.
Be safe.
Cool hoodie!
Man! I was really excited for y’all getting that bin set up and now it looks like you’re having to work even harder to process your harvest than before. I guess the upside is, for now anyhow, is that you aren’t shipping it off to the co-op.
Praying that it’s resolved and repaired or rebuilt this year.
Thanks for the video.
Happy holidays, poppa cornstar, God bless you and your family ❤
I really look forward to hearing the WHOLE story about the bins..... in time.
Maybe in your spare time🤣🤣🤣you could start some pre-production stuff for the highly anticipated "Bingate: the Untold Story.
Thanks for sharing love watching DC god bless
Speaking of belts, where did Cooper get that belt?
I can’t imagine the frustration you guys go through with that entire bin site! Sure hope it gets resolved sooner than later. Hard to believe this company can remain in business! Curious if you ever have years when you don’t have to run the drier and you put corn/beans right into storage?
Dc you have the straw boss in cab with you 😉🙂
awesome video Daddy Cornstar. I will be so glad when y'all can get a dang bin site that actually works. Hang in there DC. Love you buddy
I remember using that moisture tester 30 years ago at a local grain mill when my oldest son was a baby 👶
My wife just ran to the kitchen to turn off oven while I was watching this… lol
Hello Daddy Cornstar. My grandpa had a grain tester like the one you have. So I always think of my grandpa when I see you use it. We enjoy your videos, kept up the good work.
DC you have the best videos . I think the same way you do it would nice to be a little boy again I am 60 good luck with harvest .
Please talk to your council about being able to secure the hand rails on your bins. Should be able use some scaffold clamps temporarily. Cant believe a company would walk away from the safety side of their responsibility. Every pit that size I've seen has 2 augers. Do they have an example of one in use with that design that actually works? A question for the attorney's to ask in discovery
Have your electrician place a sensor over the auger in the center, that starts the the buttom auger on a timer for ever how long it takes to empty. And should the sensor trigger, because you fill the pit, he can program it to shut off.
I have no clue why they didn't make the pit like your truck trailers or your grain hoppers you pull behind the tractors
It’s been what now 2 or 3 years of disaster. The way things are going it will have completely fallen apart before you get it settled.
Put an air box before the bearing on the lower end of the auger or that bearing will go again. It will help them last for years and years.
It’s amazing that the bin site people don’t even come to secure the safety rails, even though they are being sued. It would demonstrate good faith! Railing are obviously not adequate for the purpose!
We love❤ you guys!! We hope you have a wonderful, blessed Thanksgiving with your family!!❤
The sad part about farming is the busiest time is when it's nice outside and the down time is when it's an artic tundra. It can be such a trial to have spent so much money and have it make your life worse than it was before. It's a crime that you guys can't even fix anything and these companies won't stand by their products. Y'all should build a new dryer shack and do it yourself and add another dryer to double production and have it covered so you can dry in the bad weather. Good luck and sleep tight when you can
Uppss...There's some rust goodness on this red pickup😢
Asking about the pit, why didn't they build like a drill bit ? Have it feed to one end then up the leg over to holding hopper . On the auger out of the pit looks to be 8in diameter. Would not a 10 in or 12 been better ? Then think u said it in coles video when you and Cooper were up on top about having tight turns. Yes that should have fixed then .
On the dump pit maybe wasn't in the budget or might be able to add later , enclosure all around it were can park semi in it. Shut both ends with a roll updoor , be able to unload, load . In bad weather, hopefully soon have the law suits all over . Thank you
DC would a gear chain drive work more efficiently, than a belt driven system.??
Rev. Paul, Eustis Florida.
Just restarted video.. got her again 😂
Now over the spring and summer before Harvest I would have put a lot of time into this bin site fixing it up I would have poured concrete for the wet bin early spring knowing that you're going to have a big Harvest have a big Harvest a lot of headaches could be taken care of before Harvest I know on my little on my small beinside that I'm responsible for fixing and repairing daily to keep things going continue to expect the company to fix things even if they weren't done right eventually there are problems
They can't do anything that voids their warranty Cole mentioned it when all this first started it's part of the lawsuit issues if they repair stuff then at trial the other side can claim that their repair caused the damage. It's a catch 22 for them.
@@tanull45there's absolutely no warranty on that grain setup anymore they only give a year if that
I've been hearing a noise off in the near distance lately .till I realized its the dryers at the huge grain elevator doing their job of drying grain coming from the local harvests .
