If you don’t read anything pre 2000 you are seriously missing out. Bone, the duck comics, tintin, Hellboy, Usagi Yojimbo, preacher, EC comics, Corto Maltese, the list goes on and on

I've read a lot of Leiber's Lankmar books based of reading these stories. And find them almost as fun. I've also read Moorcock as well. Happy journeys.

I never read past the 90's Mignola adaptation but really liked it. If you're interested in reading Michael Moorcock, I'd suggest the first Elric run, starting w/Elric of Melnibone and ending w/Stormbringer. Originally 6 short books but I think it's in one or two volumes nos.

I reached the end of the Mignola stuff last night, still great. I've checked in Elric a few times - both the comic and audio book adaptations, but get lost pretty quickly with multiple versions of each.
