This animation is based around the final session of the Minecraft SMP series "Secret Life", where the color of your life will depend how much lives you have. 3 for Green, 2 for Yellow,and 1 for Red. Your main goal for being a red life is to be the last person standing.

Also fun fact to anyone who didn’t know but, in this one fight Grian did roughly 90 hearts of damage to Gem and the Scotts
If only he managed to kill one, he couldve snowballed with the extra hearts and maybe won that fight. It was so close.

Honestly the only reason Gem survived then was because she still had the hearts from when she killed Scott and Impulse
With out those hearts she would have died and potentially Grian would have killed the other 2

@@Ace_DM_2520the fact that without giving gem the extra hearts they would've all died shows how essential the alliance was, also scar was the catalyst behind grian going after them, and also the catalyst for gem becoming red and helped her kill pearl, he is the first domino for the alliances

2:50 Many artists like portray Gem as sweet person with a psychotic streak (which is funny), but THIS is the first time I’ve seen Gem portrayed as a proper BADASS like some kind of action heroine and it works just as well, if not better.
I’m not even a Gem fan (Desert Duo all the way), and I loved it.
That “You guys are gross” followed by the roundhouse kick to the face looked right out of an action movie.
A part of me, someone who rooted for Scar, almost wish Gem won so she could win that fight in this animatic. That’s how good this is.
I had the exact same feeling, like even the camera angle and stuff was like... this line should be in the movie, and would have been beyond epic if she'd beaten them..

OMG YES!! When I was watching this, the voice lines were playing in my head
As an ex-dream smp fan, sad-ist’s “warriors” animatic was my awakening to fandom animatics and Minecraft UA-cam in general. After the dream smp fell apart, and everyone I liked died, or got exposed as a horrible person. I didn’t go near mcyt for a year after that, because I was too scared that it was all like that.
Now, at the start of this year, I found the life series, then hermitcraft, and experienced the same level of… brainrot and felt somehow like I never left the scene. This fandom reawakened my faith in minecraft UA-cam, and this time round, I’ve found a place far less toxic and controversial to find comfort in.
This is somehow me, re-experiencing something for the first time again, and this beautiful animatic just… oh my gosh this is the best way to do it. Thank you so much, you are so goddamn talented, and I commend you for the many, many hours this must have taken.
Omg same! I only discovered life series/hermitcraft half way through double life, after not having gone near mcyt after dsmp crashed and burned. But things like sad-ist's animatics really feel nostalgic now. I'm glad I didn't give up on mcyt now, because this community is so much more upbeat than some in the mcyt world are.
I thankfully left the Dream SMP fandom before all the major drama started, but I still go back to watch some of the animatics.
I found Hermitcraft pretty soon after, and eventually decided to look into the Life Series. When I started looking at Hermitcraft/Life Series animatics, I enjoyed them.
They also started to remind me of Dream SMP animatics that I enjoyed. I occasionally remembered audio or songs from Dream SMP animatics that I thought would fit with Life Series ones.
I never thought I would see an animatic like this in the Life Series fandom, but I think it's amazing. It flows really well. I like how the music is used to create emotion while still allowing the dialogue to be the actual series audio.
I had a pretty similar trajectory, except I was already kind of "disillusioned" with DSMP before everything went to hell and my stepping stone was actually Empires SMP. Regardless, it's nice to find people that can relate.

Martyn and Jimmy HAVE to see this. Not 'should', not 'I'd like them to', they HAVE to. This is incredible, the animation is so smooth, the transitions are amazing, the movement fits with the song so well, that part with Scar and the previous series, just *chef's kiss*. Brilliant. Brilliant, I tell you.
Also, love that it looks a bit like SAD-ist's animation (which was quite obviously the inspiration), but it's still different, and unique, and yours. Love that.
Copyright music tho makes it really difficult
This animatic shows exactly why I truly believe that the Final Session of Secret Life (on the whole) is the greatest Final Life Series session since 3rd Life, possibly even better.

And that's a compliment, this is a perfect animation and the fighting, the music, the specific like lines you took from the series, amazing I love it. That ending gave me chills down my back in the best way possible, it's amazing. This is amazing. You deserve so much!

We all know Pearl never would of let herself win a second time anyway, a fight because a fight is required, not one she ever planned to win. Willing to sacrifice her life so he could get more hearts, like Scott did for Gem, but Scar refused, and Scar got to win, without that sacrifice.
I love the ending, showing all the winners. Such a cool last scene.
The tempo of the music paired so good with the conversation snippets and the transitions! Such a good animation
1:55 - 2:08 why does his edited monologue work so perfectly here?! The “And fine” with the red eyes and drop of the music, so good! And the fight sequences at the end were so smooth! Your animation is incredible!
What have I just watched?! The composition, mixing, expressions... This one video made me move Secret Life to the Top Tier of Life Series qithout a question. INCREDIBLE work
2:36-2:43 When Gem is holding Scott's body in tears, as he smiles, having let her kill him for a chance for her to win. God, I am obsessed with this, but I am so glad to see that moment getting the weight it deserves. Scott is so prepared at any moment to sacrifice himself so that his teammates might win. I love it.

fav piece has to be the part w injured etho and scar's ender pearl kill. i'm so impressed with how you animated etho in his totally beat down and wounded state it's heartbreaking. and scar's monologue is so evil and snarky i LOVE the drama. the lil ender pearl bonking etho in the head is such a lil whimsical tidbit i adore it. wrap it up with a totally badass kill from scar and hooo boy is that just such a sick series of events. what wonderful storytelling! and the emotion you can convey in these scenes is just incredible!! fantastic job!!!

words cannot explain how cool this animation is omg. i am OBSESED with all the character designs. the 3v1 was EPIC and including voice clips of the moments made it all 100 times better. this is so good i now have no choice but to eat you instead of the art.

The way the sword slashed through the captions was a fantastic little detail.
Scar's different bases through the series was cool.
Grian's fight was brilliantly choreographed and executed.
Only thing I'm sad about was missing etho's dishwasher and the boogeyman apocalypse. But there's other animations of those so whatever.
Overall amazing job and I hope you get the recognition this deserves.

That entire fight is made even more jaw-dropping when you realise if grian managed to just kill one of them, he would've gotten more hearts and who knows maybe even could've beaten all of them O.o he dealt SOO much damage 😶

Ok but genuinely the fight scenes in this are incredible and so smoothly animated. Probably the coolest looking fight scenes I’ve seen in a Minecraft animatic since SAD-IST. The fire aspect sword looks amazing, as does the nether portal.

I got hit with a huge wave of nostalgia because of the sad-ist inspo. Also the fight scenes? The voice lines? The lighting??? Literally flawless, no notes, made me ascend to a higher dimension.
