Man I wish that Balder was like this all the time. Love his Wolf form, love his battle style when he doesn't go all god mode, and his music. If Bayonetta gets another rival it'll be hard to top Lumen Sage Balder.
Flock off Feather face because Father Balder was going easy on her. He was testing her, so she could unlock the left eye. He couldn't afford to kill her. This Balder is fresh out of fucks to give, and is doing his damn deat to keep that interfering witch out of his way for good. In other words, he's actually trying.
..I can honestly see how Bayonetta could be this strong. She's got a mother who outclasses her now even when she went into the past, and a father who was able to match her on three occasions and almost beat her the third time. It's in the genes man, in the genes! (I'm sorry, I had to)
Also it’s fun to realize that bayonetta is the only half lumen, half umbra witch. She’s arguably stronger than either of her parents even combined. It’d be honestly sick if in future games she discovers she’s able to use lumen sage powers as well as Umbrian witch powers
@@spiderdude2099 If it's possible for her to use lumen related abilities, 3 would be an interesting place to showcase it. Unfortunately there's been no news since it's reveal so we'll never know until they let us know. But you're not wrong about her possibly surpassing them. If Dante can surpass Sparda then Bayonetta can surpass Balder and Rosa.
Only in Bayonetta would you ride a demonic unicorn through hell. Pretty sure I heard the Lumen Sage going "feel the pain!" Not unlike a certain other angelic father. Great fight!
Only in Bayonetta 2 can we see a priest-ish person morphing into male Amaterasu while running against sexy Shanoa like protagonist who turns into what Incineroar could have been while chasing after demonic brony bait. I love this game.
I like to think this is how the fight went in canon, particularly since Bayonetta essentially lost. She holds her own, but she takes multiple hits unlike in her other battles and the whole time it’s clear she’s outmatched.
If there's one thing Bayonetta undoubtedly got from her father it was his determination. Balder relentlessly pursued Loki even into the depths of Inferno and actually got the better of Bayonetta in their third fight.
This chapter gets even more epic if you’ve read Diomedes’ entry in the Book of Infernal Demons, which reveals that he usually HATES being ridden like a regular horse, but is willing to make an exception for those who’ve proven themselves worthy.
I just noticed... The racecourse that Bayonetta runs through in the latter parts looks like a giant serpentine skeleton. Is that maybe a Scolopendra corpse?
Oh, yeah...and that's putting it lightly: seriously, I would LOVE to actually be able to do the acrobatics that she can do...maybe even figure out if it's possible to put guns on your feet or heels like she does
Fabian Aschigaru I can only guess because I continuously saw this weird thing where some type of magic or another went to the guns whenever Bayonetta shot
I kind of preferred Balder when he was being all fancy and using such finesse with his glaive instead of being all flashy with this whole "god-mode" state.
Honestly, it's time to stop *horsing* around, Bayonetta. You sure like getting into *cat-fights* with Balder who is always *doggedly* pursuing Loki, going so far as to give our dear witch the *bird*. Okay, I'll stop now. Seeing all those animals just made me think of equines, felines, canines and pheasants, oh my. XD
Imagine racing a horse that fast. And Bayonetta can summon one at any time. Not to mention her strength against Balder, her daddy. Bruh, she don’t play
Roboyoshi15 Bayonetta leaves butterflies when she moves...even when she double jumps, she sprouts wings (most-likely because of her "contract" to Madama Butterfly)
***** that's because you are fighting against an enemy that also has his own version of Witch Time. He dodges out of Witch Time. The parts where Bayonetta floats in the air and the screen is grey is called Light Speed and you have to struggle to get out of it. i hope you found this out in the 7 months between this message
@@KrimzonFlygon1 We dont know that. There is nothing that indicates that Gommorah is an individual but also nothing that suggests that there are more of him. I kinda got the impresion that when they are summoned by a witch and then die they dont die fore real kinda like Yunas Aeons dont die fore real when they are defeated. Labolas and Hydra both got killed and have to specific backstorys to be not unic demons but Bayonetta could still summon them again. When Labolas killed Gommorah he diseapred in the same manner as Labolas did when Balder killed him instead of having the exploding death demons seem to have when Bayonetta kills demons that she did not summoned herself.
Man I wish that Balder was like this all the time. Love his Wolf form, love his battle style when he doesn't go all god mode, and his music. If Bayonetta gets another rival it'll be hard to top Lumen Sage Balder.
I agree. The monster summons was awesome too. The only thing better about Jeanne's rival fights though, were the wicked weave clashes.
8:24 that music was so perfectly timed, it’s just so emotional. You can practically feel the heartbreak and anger seething from him.
Now THIS is a fight between a Lumen Sage and an Umbra Witch.
Steven Heymann Why was it not Father Balder and Bayonetta previous fight a real fight after all?
Flock off Feather face because Father Balder was going easy on her. He was testing her, so she could unlock the left eye. He couldn't afford to kill her. This Balder is fresh out of fucks to give, and is doing his damn deat to keep that interfering witch out of his way for good. In other words, he's actually trying.
Steven Heymann Really gives an impression of what the Clan wars were like

Calamity Knyte along with that, young Balder, in his prime as we see him, was already far more experienced than Bayonetta as we know her now.
ok
Also it’s fun to realize that bayonetta is the only half lumen, half umbra witch. She’s arguably stronger than either of her parents even combined. It’d be honestly sick if in future games she discovers she’s able to use lumen sage powers as well as Umbrian witch powers

Balder always is a epic fight everytime
He is truly a boss character
Only in Bayonetta would you ride a demonic unicorn through hell. Pretty sure I heard the Lumen Sage going "feel the pain!" Not unlike a certain other angelic father. Great fight!
lam1nat0r1 He also didn't do exposition for 20 minutes :p. Thanks!
+omegaevolution doesn't bayonetta point that out in the beginning of the game
Only in Bayonetta 2 can we see a priest-ish person morphing into male Amaterasu while running against sexy Shanoa like protagonist who turns into what Incineroar could have been while chasing after demonic brony bait.
I love this game.
"So you're saying diplomacy has failed?" OOOH. I see what you did there Platinum.
Love this game to bits.
Cosmic - Chris I don't get it
wonderful 101 reference
You know this is hard when Balder dealt 3000 damage and still got platinum.
Her infernal unicorn summon is one of my favorites, especially due to this scene in particular. So cool.
This chapter gets even more epic if you’ve read Diomedes’ entry in the Book of Infernal Demons, which reveals that he usually HATES being ridden like a regular horse, but is willing to make an exception for those who’ve proven themselves worthy.
The cinematic here had some of the most intense choreography ever. It was WHOLLY SHIT the entire way threw.
Young Balder isn't throwing out awful puns like Father Balder.
I'm am saddened by this...but,You May Call Me Father is playing sooooo I forgive.
+Rikuo86 Lol, Awful puns? When? Need to know :|
and it sounds better here for some reason
Maybe because my puns were, Right out the window?
8:42 That's right. Bayonetta just buckled to her knees.
Well it is her father so yeah....
Two of my favorite songs from the first Bayonetta appearing in this video, nice.
+xelasneko "You may call me father" is my fav song too.
I just noticed...
The racecourse that Bayonetta runs through in the latter parts looks like a giant serpentine skeleton.
Is that maybe a Scolopendra corpse?
I kind of want to see Bayonetta and both her parents all fight together now.
Daaaww the Lumen Wolf was very cute!
Fabian Aschigaru Still no match for our Umbra Panther Bayonetta
Fabian Aschigaru I was tempted to call her Umbra "Cougar" Bayonetta...but that would have been a bit far since I like and respect her
Oh, yeah...and that's putting it lightly: seriously, I would LOVE to actually be able to do the acrobatics that she can do...maybe even figure out if it's possible to put guns on your feet or heels like she does
But, unless you're like her, you'd have a SERIOUSLY hard time reloading (she reloads, or doesn't have to, because of her magic)
Fabian Aschigaru I can only guess because I continuously saw this weird thing where some type of magic or another went to the guns whenever Bayonetta shot
This damned game and it's soundtrack!! I love theem!!!
My favourite part was when bayonetta was riding one of the infernal demons and then gomorrah appeared.
3:20 - Shit... Bayonetta has super strong legs!
I kind of preferred Balder when he was being all fancy and using such finesse with his glaive instead of being all flashy with this whole "god-mode" state.
Well... he was technically under Loptr's influence then
No one is gonna talk about Diomedes I mean look at that gorgeous horse 😍
Be careful with the oaths Balder..
Make too many, and you'll keep none
Those feathers are so...everywhere XD
Honestly, it's time to stop *horsing* around, Bayonetta. You sure like getting into *cat-fights* with Balder who is always *doggedly* pursuing Loki, going so far as to give our dear witch the *bird*.
Okay, I'll stop now. Seeing all those animals just made me think of equines, felines, canines and pheasants, oh my. XD
omegaevolution No prob, I started it after all. XD
Flegan777 lol
But for real, how about that perfect que in the boss theme at 8:24
4:18 YES!! A Wonderful 101 reference!
I wish hell was one big sonic course.
Me :that guy reminds me of someone
4:46
M: HOLY SHIT!!!!
3:17 No dad no!
Imagine racing a horse that fast. And Bayonetta can summon one at any time. Not to mention her strength against Balder, her daddy. Bruh, she don’t play
I wish there is a racing game like Bayonetta riding Diomedes..... The scene was really cool.....😆
INTO THE LIGHT
I wish that Bayonetta and I would those kickass unicorns. Those are the coolest unicorns I ever seen! I want one! :D
Damn... sleiphnir's been hitting the gym!
Father Rodin...Okami... gilgamesh.... is that.. you?
imagine a Dr. Strange game like this lol.
Wonder if how they're fighting is any indication on how the Clans wars were fought
The music riding the horse tho
I Love using Balder in Tag Climax... IDKY
4:19 is that a reference to wonderful 101 cause it sure look like it
Also an Okami reference with the wolf leaving a trail of flowers.
Roboyoshi15 Bayonetta leaves butterflies when she moves...even when she double jumps, she sprouts wings (most-likely because of her "contract" to Madama Butterfly)
I hope diomedes gets into bayonetta 3
Demon unicorn attack
Does anyone know the name of the OST used in the chasing and the battle with Balder?
Chase - Friend
Battle - You May Call Me Father
Both tracks are from the first Bayonetta
Anyone knows the name of the song? Is it in the soundtrack?
+Dico Matencio It should
+Dico Matencio the pony ride is called Friendship and the boss battle music is You May Call Me Father
Dico Matencio Its called you may call me father.
Tried playing against this version of Balder in Tag climax Max bet, I only lasted around 15 seconds or so, lol!
One thing I like about the second game witch time actually works
They shortened the time-stop on dodge i see.

What the hell is the music in this stage!?
It's called friendship and you may call me father
@@javiervaldepena5507 Got it- thanks my dude
@@dreadangel3752 Np man
Hands down best hack and slasher after splatterhouse tgis is my favorite i hope they do a bayonetta 3
Bayonetta 3 has been announced some time ago!
How is gommorah not dead?
There’s more than one. They’re a species, not a unique demon.
@@KrimzonFlygon1 We dont know that. There is nothing that indicates that Gommorah is an individual but also nothing that suggests that there are more of him.
