      Good choice mate :) alloy floors are amazing at sea and you can get a little better performance but they are a b@stard to set up on a cold morning and they are heavy to pull across the beach. Maybe ok it the boat is kept on a trailer? But who wants a pvc inflatable boat blown up on a trailer all the time? Seems like it's asking for a puncher!
      NO, AIRDECK ALL THE WAY :):) And if you loose a tube at sea your still basically sat on a massive airbed. Nice and practical for the car.. WIN WIN

  • @microscopio4466
    @microscopio4466 6 років тому

    Tell me please how long does your boat keep the pressure? At me too what boat, only here after day of driving it is necessary to pump up it, it would be desirable to learn it normally?

    • @mattryland949
      @mattryland949  6 років тому +1

      Honwaves do lose some air pressure over time - it’ll feel a bit soft after a couple of weeks inflated. Most noticably you will see the pressure change with temperature change. So the tubes might feel hard at midday but soft when the sun has gone down and it’s colder.

    • @mattryland949
      @mattryland949  6 років тому +2

      I would definitely recommend this combination. The Honwave is very good quality and the Suzuki 20hp gets it to a good 25 - 30 Knots top speed if the water is flat.
      There is rope around the top of all three tubes to hold onto.

    Do the wheels come with your boat. Or did you order separate. Did you have to assemble yourself, you said that they fold up and down? Thanks again, great video. Can your boat and motor fit into a small crossover SUV?

    • @mattryland949
      @mattryland949  4 роки тому +1

      I bought the wheels separate - they cost about £80 for the pair. You have to assemble them and drill holes in the transom to put the fixing bolts through. But it’s not a difficult job.
      The folded up boat and the outboard will fit in the back of an estate car or SUV.

    Hi, which prop-size is mounted on the DF 20 AS coming from the factory? Is this the original one? Many greats

    • @mattryland949
      @mattryland949  5 років тому +1

      This has the prop that comes as standard from the factory. A different pitch angle or the size and number of blades would certainly have an affect, potentially positive or negative, on the acceleration, top speed and fuel efficiency. However, I personally wouldn’t make any changes on such a small motor and boat combo unless you really know your stuff.

    We bought a truekit Discovery 4.0. I too have a Suzuki 20HP as3. What trim position do you use most of the time. I noticed that the second closest to the stern works the best. If I place it in the middle I get to much up and down movement. We had 4 people on it. It planed nicely but I want to try a 8 pitch prop and see what it will do to RPMs. Have you tried different prop pitch sizes?

    nice demo. How easy is it to launch from a beach with this combo?

    • @mattryland949
      @mattryland949  6 років тому +2

      It is as simple as lowering the wheels and lifting it at the front and pushing it along. I can do it single handed down a concrete ramp. It’s obviously easier with some help. The softer the beach, the more difficult it would be to push, but you can get bigger wheels/tyres than the ones I have.

After run in we did open it up but with the two of us weighing 209kg we didn't quite go as fast as you in that video. @@oliverskinner8962 if the deck is flexing it is either you are too heavy , or you didn't inflate the floor to the correct pressure, or maybe your manometer is not working correctly. Tube pressure should be inflated to 0.25bar or 3.5 psi and floor to 0.8bar or 11.5psi. Check your user manual.
      If you are using the boat at a hot place and leaving it under direct sunlight (not using boat covers), I recommend you to inflate it to less than what the manual says, keep tubes at 2.5psi and floor at 9-10psi
