Hey Susan! I'm from Scotland and trust me the lack of sun leads to vitamin D deficiency - everyone here is advised to supplement with vitamin D daily because of the lack of sunshine!! At least no sun damage!
What area of Scotland are you living in? I'm also a Scot (Edinburgh and Fife) and Vitamin D deficiency is pretty rare here, even if we get a lot of cloud and rain coverage there's still sunlight and UVB/UVA rays giving us Vitamin D as well as sun damage even in the winter we're fine unless you as an individual have a deficiency issue
You can still get sun damage from UVA , though, if the UV index is above 3. Winter is when both UVA and UVB is low so that probably won't be an issue. So, be careful.
Hi Sophie, I’m from Scotland and work in the skincare industry and want to talk a little about this justas it may help you or anyone else reading this. Vitamin D deficiency is a real, and growing concern with The UK. however demographics affected by UV indexes alone are generally black and south Asian populations, in lighter skinned individuals this phenomena is more often due often to a combination of genetic, dietary and environmental issues (I.e symbiotic relations due to poor calcium and iron levels, or gut absorption). The reality is due to people not wearing sunscreen, and excessively seeking sun exposure in summer and foreign holidays within the UK we also have some of the highest skin cancer rates in Europe, with Dundee having the highest rates within the UK.
I loooove that Dr. Dennis Gross eye serum! I went thru a whole Bottle and saw great results. For all the reasons you said- tested around the eye area (eye safety), potent ingredients, etc is exactly why I purchased (during Sephora sale 🤣) and how I guide my eye cream purchases !!
The Icelandic trip - that is my life several months a year 😅 So we have problems with getting enough sun since we usually have to work at daytime. Sometimes I consider moving to a sunnier country, just because I think it takes such a toll on me.
I swear by Dermalogica! Sooooo many of their products are HGs for me. Namely: Skin resurfacing cleanser (INCREDIBLE) Daily microfoliant, retinol clearing oil, skin smoothing and intensive moisture balance moisturizers, antioxidant mist. All BOMB.
Quite interesting ingredients in that eye gel. Love that retinol in there though. Seems like it's specifically made for the eye area. Also, rambutan is a nice fruit. Very lush and tasty when perfectly ripe. :) Unsure if it has real skin benefits though but it's nice a a quick snack or dessert. XD Retinoids I feel could be used nightly (been at that point and continuing since), but had to use exfoliating acids on different nights and skip retinoids for a few weeks out of fear of getting reactions. However, now I think I could manage exfoliation nights with retinoids and still being A-Okay the next morning xx
I have the Magic Cream but found a much more moisturizing cream. Dr. GROSS VITAMIN C LACTIC DEWY DEEP CREAM. I put some Magic on one hand and the Dr Gross on the other. And the Magic absorbed and went semi matte. The Dr Gross stayed moist and glowy. And the Dr. Gross cream smells divine! Not cheap, but way cheaper than Magic. Dr Gross was $75 for 2 oz. Magic is $100 for 1.7 oz.
She is doing it right! Hair stylists and dentists have all told me that facial rinsing should happen after hair washing and teeth brushing to avoid run off and dermatitis❤ The ingredients are irritating and sensitize skin. Also Rina is like a superhero of a star....
@@Mixedmakeup I have been doing second cleanse as last step in the shower for ages. I do it after teeth brushing, shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, etc to make sure there's no other residue on my face and mouth area, especially conditioner and toothpaste. Second cleanse in the shower is the best way to rinse everything off cleanly. There's a thing called temperature control knob or button, so you don't overheat your face with hot water and have melasma like Susan lol. F all these fake experts and specialist trying to tell me otherwise. I love well formulated products with alcohol and fresh fragrance too because I have oily skin and live in hot and humid climate.
Hey Susan, love these videos. Would you consider also recommending alternatives? Like when she was using Barbara strum mask or the magic cream at the end. Would be great to know what alternative you would recommend trying. Thanks ahead! ❤
The fact she says that she has a problem for buying that much skincare products is good because I've seen SO MUCH videos of people having a library furniture FULL of skincare products. That's an addiction and pollution because people often end up throwing them in trash after few use or they throw them in trash because they just don't need it anymore. Always get your products empty first before buying new ones. Tips : If you don't like a product on your face you can still use it on your body.
I have a library full of skincare products and I use (and will) use every drop. I don’t consider it a problem and I can afford what I purchase. Can we not preach at people for doing something they enjoy?
Can you mix your oil and cream cleanser? I don’t mean mix them together, more like…start with the oil to break everything down, but instead of washing it off with water, you go in with your second cleanser using it to remove all that broken up product and also the oil cleanser itself? 🤔 What do you think? I use the One Love Organics Vitamin B Enzyme Cleansing Oil and then either Skinmedica AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser or Cerave Hyration Cream to Foam Cleanser.
Iove her routine! I had to take vit d supplements when working overnight because of that same issue and living in the area I do . Skin cyling has done wonders in my routine. ❤
They added fragrance to the topicals faded serum & im SOOO mad !!! Like yes people complained but people still bought it !! Now that eliminates a large group of people from being able to use it. I really hope they reformulate the fragrance out again. I will use any product no matter how bad it smells if it works miracles.
Hi Susan! I ordered the tranexamic acid brightening serum from Naturium and it is DARK brown. Customer service said it’s normal, but the tint it gives my face is terrible for someone with fair skin and stains my pillow covers. Please consider bringing this up to the team because I LOVE the formula but hate the way it’s tinted!
I couldn't finish this video. I cant stand how Susan has to correct everything, every second. We all know there's no right or wrong way to do skincare. Do what makes you the most happy.
Susan! Try the Dr Barbara Sturm face mask. As someone that’s tried many masks in the past, this is my ALL TIME FAVORITE. It does it all - soothing, hydrating, cleansing etc. if I have a breakout it gets better after the mask, if I’m dry it gets better. You get the drill. Try it! 🎉
I would be done with that conditioner in 2 weeks and I dont even condition every day but a shampoo would last me months lmao. Also the mixing is great I mix the catch rice powder with any ol cleanser I have if I feel like physically exfoliating. I also feel like ppl exaggerate so much abt the topicals like yeah it's not great but it wasn't so bad that I couldn't use it ya know? Some things are truly so off putting that I just cant no matter what miracles itll do for my skin
Is anyone else still bothered by the random cutting in and out on Susan’s videos? I work in media and it’s too much! Susan, and team, please lose the cutting.
I usually mainly listen to these rather than watch them, but when I read your comment, I paid attention and I agree the cutting is a bit strange and annoying 😅

Even a ton of people who are in the sun everyday are still deficient in vitamin D.

I use that Dennis Gross eye gel at night and it is brilliant, especially on melia

I mix powder cleanser with gel cleansers all the time and I LOVE IT!!
Same! It creates such a nice texture.
Right from the get-go, Susan is like "TENS, TENS, TENS ACROSS DE BOARD!" I LOVE it 😁
I was so excited when it started!

Susan we need a video about you selling Naturium to ELF
Yes we do!
The lady at Dermalogica recommended mixing a cleanser with the microfoliant it’s my go to!
I had to try it immediately. So good!

I found the Dermalogica drying so I mixed it with a moisturizing cleanser and it was perfect
Into this, into her 🎉
Anyone else getting oddly nostalgic for 2020? 😂
Susan, I love your lip gloss. Can you tell which one are you using in this video?
I’ll have to ask Nikki!
Mother reacts to mother
I swear by that DG eye serum! ❤
You should try it, Susan 😊
oh wow this is my first time hearing about rambutan in skincare!! interesting...
I have this topicals products as well but the packaging says you aren’t supposed to use it with a retinol

Yes or give the products to a friend or family. Hopefully they'll use the product.

Please do a video on bridal skincare routine
Is skin cycling okay if you do retinol, bha, recovery? I have sensitive skin with rosacea and acne, so using retinol or BHA nightly is not realistic

Mine wasnt dark brown. I doubt it is normal. They should have offerred to send you another
Mine is yellow/brown but I only use two pumps and it blends into my skin fine before moisturiser
@@isabellamomodu1812 I agree! It CANT be normal! It looks sooooo bad on paler skin.
Are straight lashes common in the Asian community?
This was the second time I heard the straight eyelash thing today.
Yes. For East Asians

i have put my microexfoliation in my 2nd cleanse for years
Hi Susan ,i'm58 and i use rétinol sérum every night in my skin Care .m'y skin tolérantes it , IS it good? From France ❤
I absolutely have found candles that will make my house smell amazing for hours way under $35!
Slay mama
i am using the Dr.Deniss gross eye serum and OMG, is good. i have got melia around my eyes, and it is gone by the third day. NOT even exaggerating
Try it! 🎉
