I swear that deinonychus had a death wish, getting out of that first raptor fight with some serious wounds, but then going on to fight another raptor! That being said, the combat between the two was really fun to watch!

I can't wait to play it. I have it preordered for the PS4. I had a lot of fun playing Operation Genesis and this looks like it's fixed a lot of issues I had with that one plus more. One of the things I didn't like about Operation Genesis was that it was too easy. The dinosaurs only escaped if I let them out myself or if a twister took out a fence. But here, you have sabotage, which will make things much more interesting.

I’m hoping you can upgrade the rangers to do some of that micro managing stuff automatically. So basically they just do it without you having to tell them to do it. I can see that getting a bit tedious.

I freaking love the music for the T. rex release, it's like a mix between the raptor attack and the opening credits scene.
I noticed the Steam achievement for creating and releasing a T. rex is called "Follow the screams." Nice, but missed opportunity for "We have a T. rex."
I'm confused, will we get the deluxe edition dinosaurs somewhere down the line in the base game? Or are they just completely locked off to us who only want to buy the standard?
I think you just wont be able to have those dinos in your park but you'll probably be able to upgrade to deluxe unlocking those dinos!

Resupplying a live game feeder.... I can just imagine a jeep with a crapton of goats on it stopping by the feeder, the men get out, and they proceed to stack a hundred of goats underground.

What’s up with the staring competition between rexy and cerato at 22:08?? For like 40 seconds they don’t even move a muscle..
Oh boy, we were really, really hoping no one would notice that. :) It's a bug which Frontier are aware of, and this gameplay is not from the final version of the game - so it should be fixed when the game launches next week. Which is a shame, because it's kind of hilarious.

If there isn't first person mode on this I'm gonna be shook.
I still hope that we might get the Troodon and Herrerasaurus from the Telltale game in a future DLC, I liked the design and concept behind them even though the game was mediocre. But still a pretty strong cast of dinosaurs, with only a few really weird choices and some disappointments (all Nodosaurids are pretty much the same for example).
If you make a quick pause at 13:11 you can see all of Las Cinco Murtes along with sandbox Isla Nublar.
It's kinda funny how the triceratops doesn't attack the jeep. Like that could do some serious damage

This won't happen. I imagine its way more difficult to program than you think and besides, in the wild if a T. Rex attacked a Ceratosaurus (which of course would never happen as they lived at completely different times) other Ceratosaurs would never help it
Nathan Edwards that is true but it would make it a little more realistic if the Triceratops and the other large herbivores helped each other and the small ones

If dinosaurs can be cloned from fossils, can't also prehistoric plants be cloned from fossilized plants? I'd like to be able to research and develop prehistoric eco-systems in the game, too, to fill the dinosaur enclosures with.
Seems more like a management game than a theme park builder, oh well it still should be fun.
MiZtA_bluee Doesn't make much sense since its more or less the same. Whats the point in building a park without having to manage it?
santaria19 This is an extreme focus on management tho, JPOG felt more like a theme park builder focusing more on park design and ways to please the guests by making it easy and fun to observe your dinos. This seems nothing like that, more emphasis on desiging your park so it can be easy to manage while the guests seem more like an aesthetic...but who knows we still haven't seen sandbox mode.
To be fair, Frontier has been calling it a management game in pretty much every interview and video they've been a part of, so there shouldn't really be any surprise here.

same trees and ground everywhere...remember zoo tycon 1 and 2. Every dinosaur wanted a different ground and different trees etc. You needed stronger walls and the list goes on. The building aspect here is so basic..sad

That looks like it is still unfinished to be honest, absolutely not like a 60$ game. There's no variation in environment design, all paddocks look the same, no rocks, different ground types, rivers, day-night cycle, detailed park customization, decorations and terraforming tools, there's only bland green color in every direction you look. Not only that, all dinosaurs have exact same animations, there's no pack hunting, herding and the worst of all, no sleeping! Wtf? Jurassic Park Operation Genesis had dinosaurs that sleep and it was released back in 2003.I expected much better from Frontier.

Abcde Fghij I think he's referring to buildable area limits. When they zoom out to map view you can see a line. You won't be able to outside of that line.
No limit to dinosaurs at least.
There are no limits to the amount of buildings, amount of guest, or amount of dinos you can have. But there is a map limit, but that's to be expected, it has to run smoothly on consoles which have more technological limitations than PC's.
..... I hope they will improve that shit at 6:30
Why do I get the feeling the gameplay is limited, boring and repetitive? Ugh, I've been trying to grow to like this game.
At the end of the day this is still "just" a Park-builder. You mostly watch numbers go up and down. If those games aren't *really* your thing, I'd give this a pass.

Also if you pause at exactly 7:29 you can see that the actual time of day is a bright morning and not sundown. They just dumped that filter above it but they can't make a day and night circle somehow. Because playing in that sunset lighting for a few hours won't hurt your eyes at all... Jesus fucking Christ they took 20 steps backwards when compared to JPOG. All they had to do was make the exact same game with more attractions and research options. But fuck no, let's just strip every immersive and realistic thing out of JPOG and just add story missions because that's what people want from a Tycoon game.
Oh well Imma Jack Sparrow this after all, it ain't worth a buy

Jurassic Park is about the island, the dinosaurs and the theme park.
It's not a glorified excuse for a dinosaur shoot-them-up.
Con is it's a Park Building game? Nah... not everyone hates city/park builders :)
