What can’t this kid do lol. Proud dad moment I bet
Ik right I'm only 19 and he surprises me I grew up around trucks as well but man that kid can work
He reminds me a lot of my own boy, yeah my son is 13 and he's moved out on his own, yeah he's been on his own for a couple years now, he just bought a house and he's doing good, I'm so proud of him.!
@@DaRealN0mad smh a few clips of him holding the spray gun and a few pry bars and he’s out working the whole shop. Why do you people believe everything you hear in the internet smh getting old
I pray for uncle Ronnie. Jan 1 2023 will be 6 years DIALYSIS
I have stage 4 rrc. He great little guy who if you spent 5 minutes with him is 8 hours of learning.
God bless uncle Ronnie
It's your heater that has caused the paint to do that on the trailer... that heater causes oil fumes in the air which causes the paint to do that
@gen2Garage7 your on the worng channel aint you? Lol I lnow your not tommy or Allison
U are a great dad. Teaching your son is the best education.
Teaching the kids how to earn their keep is the best education you could ever give to Braxton and his friends. Have a great rest of Thanksgiving, Tim!
Yes that is so true
First of all sorry for your business burning down but I'm very impressed with your son 12 years old and he knows what he's doing and starting his own business that's awesome to see at 12-year-old to be into it to support himself on his toys I wish him all the luck in the world and I hope it is your face you guys 100% back but I just happened to run into one of your videos day before yesterday and I like your show so now I'm subscribers thanks for the video
That kid having a blast playing around the shop
As far as him doing this and that ....I think dad is exaggerating a little bit
But when he gets a little older there's not a doubt in my mind he'll be doing all the stuff around there.
Definitely. He is hanging out worrying about his 4 wheeler or disappearing. Not working 70 hours a week.
I have been wanting to make that comment but been staying quiet. I think it's great to give the kid opportunity but I also kinda feel like it's being shoved down his throat. When that happens he will never not succeed because his dad won't let him fail.
@@anthonycary947 yeah I've been biting my tongue I know he's a good kid but I also know he's not doing what they say he's doing around there
The fish eyes probably came from the portable heater. Sometimes they don't burn all of the fuel so those particles land on the surface and the paint won't cover them. Wipe the frame down with cleaner used to prep the surface of contaminate.
I have seen that happen numerous times due to combustion byproducts contaminating the surface.
Nothing like little droplets of unburnt diesel fuel ops I mean Kerosene to screw up a paint job, it’s kinda like spraying armor all or silicon in he area you paint in
Yes
For the FLD I like the stacks out the back with the headache rack and doin expanded metal over where the lights are and add the lights to the rack like Brax suggested.
Can’t beat the look of a good looking rack lol
Tim please Raptor spray trailers as you will not have to prep so much and will cover up those rough areas ..
Temperature is not your only enemy when it comes to paint, humidity is also up there. To high or to low can make a difference to how the paint reacts. The reaction you see looks like crazing which could be a combination of the surface being to cold and the humidity being to low.
I've seen that happen with brakes popping out a little beyond the drum. That is also from worn out S Cam bushings.
Ur a great father keep it up n tell Brax to enjoy life as a truck owner
Torpedo heater throwing off particles in the air . I never used diesel or kerosene heaters if at all possible. Happy thanksgiving to you and your family.
Side stacks near cab doors with headache with rack. Move tanks back and put the steps in. Primo
I love when young people work hard.
But also dads acting like their kids are the hardest workers ever when they really aren’t, is kind of a tired thing.
@@stupadaso7948 yes
Tim you should put the stacks on the fld up front by the doors looks awesome there
Hey bud to be honest I have done a lot of painting and if it was me I would be laying down some Industrial enamel from Tractor Supply or a box store. It just covers so much better. That's just my opinion.
Damn you've got some good mechanics, you guys know your shit.braxton is one hell of a good son and your lucky to have your dad there.
That young man is smart and gonna be a strong contender in business!! I hope y'all are proud parents and keep up the great work!!
Prayers to Uncle Ronnie , Happy Thanksgiving !
Tim the first problem with the paint and primer is never do the easiest places to paint first. Always do the inside hard to get places first that way you are not having to worry about your hose and when you are almost done the easiest places will be all you have left. The first rule of paint.
It's extremely clear he has 0 idea what he's doing 😂
What about the cleaning step?😅
@@chrisbowman8415 At least he is doing something but I agree he could stand to spend a little time with a good painter
Ospho rust inhibitor. Green stuff works fantastic. 💪
Prayers up for you Uncle Ronnie
Never liked the stacks behind the sleeper, so my humble opinion is put them behind the door, keep up the great work 👍
Stacks in the back! They look good outside frame width.
Brax sure is a good kid and he has a darn good Dad teaching him about working hard to get what he wants in life.
i used to rebuild trailers i used its called fast build primer it covers up the pitts rust ones 3 coats it ready for paint
Will keep Ronnie in my prayers!
Tim you are a special Dad I love to watch how you are so patient. He's going to grow up with a great amount of knowledge.
Just impressed with that boy every time I watch y’all. Great job! Not just the content. I don’t think it matters when your showing people what kids are capable of when raised correctly. It’s not just you. You and your wife have done a great job of putting good people in your business that basically become his family too.
classic style is cool on this old trucks
First consideration as others have said would be the temp. Other considerations would be to descale the metal, put a rust converter and self etching primer or direct to metal primer. The next thing would be a sealer following with whatever paint. It's 99 percent prep when it comes to paint.
I like Brax’s idea with the FLD lights put the stacks in the back, and the lights on the headache rack.
I love Braxton and you guys channel. Been watching since day 1!! Congratulations to you Brax. You are an amazing young man. Much love and respect to you and your family. Hope your Uncle feels better soon
Great Video Tim. Tell Brax that us guys in SC are super proud of him and you also. Keep up the good work and being the mentor and roll model you have become.
Don't worry. The only people that make no mistakes are those that do nothing. Hope you and yours had a great Thanksgiving!!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! Tim, the metal in the trailer is too cold. Even though your ambient air temp is 68, the metal in the trailer has to warm up or the paint will look frosty or fisheye. Had it happen to me before.
Your a great dad, Happy Thankgiving
You asked about where you should put the pipes I think you should put them behind the the sleeper like you were thinking and also use the headache rack that would be my suggestion and yes Braxton is definitely a hard worker you see that all the time all right this this is Bob from Vero Beach Florida God bless have a great day Happy Thanksgiving and stay safe and keep it going
Rear stacks, and a headache rack. Customize the rack with the lights.
Man I love how you are with your son God bless you brother that's awesome
For the amount of painting your doing, you should look into one of those dustless blasting trailer setups.
Hey Tim, not sure if it's been mentioned already. You need a larger volume tip on that gun to allow more primer out. This will allow u to lay down thicker coats which will also reduce your time applying your primer. Do u have a dedicated primer gun, there are heaps of primer guns which have a larger set up to apply a thicker n faster coats then paint guns.
You need a bigger tip to shoot that primer, maybe 1.8 , it will let it cover better, and allow you to move much faster..
9;11 brakes sticking out of the drum most of the time its the cam bushings and s-cam rollers is riding up on the spider and needs bushings and a D-ring on spider side of camshaft i weld up and rebuild them spiders to save an axle a lot cause of that
When brakes are hanging out the drum the brake rollers are bad or s cams bushings are bad or both wheels axle alignment will wear out tires as well
Hey! The manure can be turned into fuel. If there's a way to keep the smell down
My fld had rear 8 inch straight pipes on 3406 b. It was a bad ass looking ride with the headache rack and 8 inch pipes.
I love how brax wants to work and I'm impressed he knew that bolt was gonna be hot as heck and didn't just grab it to take it off the socket. Smarter than most men these days lol
That bolt wasn’t hot smh
Tim we love the videos and what yall are doing with Brax. Great job Gentry family and we love yall. You go Braxy boy.
Prayers for uncle Ronnie congratulations to borax you raised one hell of a son, something to be proud of
Need to get a set up like Ryan from victory outdoor services and fluid film those trailers an it’d help keep those trailers from rusting so bad. He’s had his stuff up in Wisconsin for 10+ years an they got almost 0 rust.
If I were Brax, I’d sell my quad and use the cash for the Argosy. I saw a youtube of a awesome looking Argosy glider in St Catherine’s, Canada. It was black with grey interior. Lots of chrome on the outside too.
When the Argosy makes money, you can reinvest it into the truck and slowly take out cash for a new quad.
@@stupadaso7948 You realize that his son is working, it’s not just a bratty kid getting whatever they want. He’s putting in sweat equity.
I hope you and your family have a great thanksgiven and all the guys at the shop from my family to your family all the best bro God bless yall 🎉🎉🎉
Happy thanksgiving to everyone Braxton listen to to your dad you will go a long way with your company
Did My thing Tim and placed an order. Living out here in Nova Scotia Canada. Hope everyone is doing good, Keep up the good vids. I also just got a Plasma cutter, haven't used it yet but will be soon as I have a racecar to build.
Happy thanksgiving from over the pond
Congrulations Braxton keep working hard.....you can have anything in world with hard work....Tim youhave a very smart kid.....
I use to run straight STP in my trailer wheels always ran cooler and stop having seals leaking, also ran this in my steer axle.
Hey Tim Yes take the checker plate and put that holed plate that is on the inside of the trailer,it's so you have a safety walking area we don't want broken legs
It’s awesome to see you bring Braxton along at a young age to teach him the value of business.
On that purchase 2 truck & trailers etc. Go for it. You questioned yourself. Should I
My Pops always said if you don't see with your own eyes continue you / life . The fuel will be there keep trucking keep rolling

Son 6 months you'll buy that supra lol heck yea.
Buy more than that.
With a father & mother & grandpa like ya"ll out there that's 100% support.
Love the channel.
Like watching those cattle pulls. load, unload.
Keep up the good work.
I think fish eyes in paint is caused by condensation in your air tank and could also be because the metal was too cold.
Stacks on the side for sure love that classic look. Can't wait to see it finished its gonna be swwweeeetttt!!!!
U can roll or brush the macropoxy or spray it would be excellent for thst old equipment
You need to get the shop at least 75 or better I have worked in body shops when the temperature drops it will bleach the color keep the shop warm .and you will have a great paint Job
Happy Thanksgiving to the Gentrys!!!
hi tim leave the tanks put the staks at the back nice to see brax working he is going for it
Around our shop we call it the BLT. Brakes, lights and tires. We check these things regularly. These are the things that DOT dings us on.
Tim I think the FLD would look good with the headache rack and stacks mounted to it.
You gotta put more filters on your shop lines. Blow your tanks and get the moisture out. Regulate your air pressure. You also have to have it at least 75 degrees the metal is cold.💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
God bless you and your family on this wonderful holiday I look forward to seeing your videos when they come out Brax is doing great keep them on this path and you’re right he will surpass you make his dreams come true for both of you definitely gonna buy a hat and a couple of shirts
I’ve done some body work and painting besides driving a Rig. But My Goodness Gentry there’s no way you had it 65 degrees in that building that the trailer is in. Because you can see the steam 💨💨💨 coming out of your mouth when you talk. Heavens No you can’t paint metal & it that cold. Because it’s gonna come out crappy Every single time. U have to heat the building up and give the metal time to get warmed up. Which is a lot longer than it takes to heat the building up. Probably 2 hours longer than it takes the building to heat up & then the metal will be warm enough to paint after it’s gotten cold like that. Because metal being real cold in conditions like where you can see your breath.....Then when you start putting the heat to the building that cold metal is going to start sweating until it warms up enough for the water on the metal to dry up. And then you can paint it , but never before then. If U understand what I’m saying.
It says there is a reply under my comment but I can’t see it when I click on it ? Why is that ? That makes no sense! Can anyone see the comment above this comment and tell me who left it and what it says please ??
The other thing I would recommend is por-15 paint it’s some nasty paint it’s can’t be cleaned up with any chemicals. Ask me how I know 😅 5 days of overspray on hands. But it holds up amazing is pricey but lasts longer.
@@kurtfoulke5130 well then buy or have a new trailer made and come back at me then as I said it’s pricey but will last for years compared to months with paint he is using.
@@kurtfoulke5130 clearly you don’t know what you’re talking. He paid $10,000 for that’s selling for $50,000 plus. So you saying por-15 is going to cost more then the trailer? $200 for one gallon of. Probably $1,200 for trailer and done. No primer and no painting months later. It a no brainer on.
@@kurtfoulke5130 the paint he is using urethane paint he is using cost is close to por price but will flake and peal.
The stacks are just in the way when you're trying to back into a tight spot. Put yard burners on it baby...
Stacks on the side for the fld, make it look like a classic
The headache rack would look cool!
Love the content Tim and nice to see braxton working on his truck he'll get there it's in his blood.
Happy Thanksgiving. Great content. Braxton is a great son being raised in a great family environment.
Might be fumes from the heater in the air messing up the paint, did you wipe the trailer off with prepsoil before painting it could be a number of things good luck brother you guys will get that im sure of ,you guys are a perfect example of a really tight nit family that sticks together and get shit done happy turkey day gobble till you wobble God bless
It's just my opinion but the stacks have to go in front of the sleeper I know it will be a lot more work but in the end it will look awesome
Put the classic steps on it and run the stacks up the side
TMI thought you got weak when you bought the Ford I’m a Chevy man and that 3500 HD LTZ is a nice truck on a 2015 3500 HD and I’ve had good service out of it with the Duramax just turned 87,000 I was offered 66,000 on trade for a new one but I love my truck I don’t want to buy a new one. I think Chevy would be a good investment for your fleet. Good luck stay safe.
I'm so impressed by you support of your son and family and gladly supported buying a couple t shirts moneys tight but to see his smile on his face is going to be so worth it!! From a father's point of view best feelings ever being disabled after auto accident I now realize how important thing are and can change in matter of minutes. From cookin for 100ds to wheelchair week before Christmas. The one thing kept me going was those smiles on the faces of kids when they got what they worked hard for !! Sorry for rattling off of the mouth lol ..keep up all the amazing work !! You deserve everything you get for the great work and good family you have !! Good man !! You're son has a great father and grandfather to look up too!! Can't wait to see his smile!!
I think the stacks would look good either way on the the truck
I’m learning so much with your channel, always great video👌
This is the exact same way I teach my kids make them grind for anything they want because in life that’s what it takes they don’t mind working they actually want to work as much as possible the more you work the more you have
Good luck brax on your new driver and future best wishes
Happy Thanksgiving Gentry family but the stacks in the back. A driver working for ten year old!! Way to go kiddo!
Man your dad is a beast. 💪🏿✊🏿💪🏿✊🏿💪🏿. You know when he means business. His voice changes and you know oh ish. I'm about to get in trouble lol. I love it. Passionate about the work and business and making sure things are done. I love it when he said. Just do what i say! Sounds like my dad. Now i do the same. JUST DO WHAT I SAY. Lol 😂.
Awsome vedio love the way Braxton works on thim trucks and trailers happy Thanksgiving to you and your family
I like your workmanship guys.Viva Gentry and sons! I am happy for Brax
Great father and great son. Also, great Grandpa.
I had a problem painting before using a heater like that blowing on the metal. It's like the heater put something on the paint and caused problems.
See I got you put 2 6 inch mitor cut stacks on in front of headache rack then on headache rack on top of headache rack put the square orange light to haul equipment with detach trailer I drove a 359 pete that had that it was sweet and dual wetline and more goodies then you can have chains and binders for that
Definitely put the stacks on the side not in the back it'll completely changed to look at the truck I done this to my FLD 120 condo
Tim, with the FLD mount the stacks behind the cabin
I got to second the blue Chevy dually, you seen what I rolled up to Bristol in 👍🏻🙌🏼 mine is a GMC, buts it’s only got 21,000 miles on it 😂😂😂👍🏻🙌🏼🔧 it only gets driven when a trailer is behind it 🤣🔧👍🏻🙌🏼👊🏼
Stacks in the back with the headache rack...maybe a cool looking Turbo wing too...
