If we had the community centers of the 70’s where you could learn drama, organized sports, gyms, pools, music lessons, computer skills, tutoring, extracurricular science and math kids would have more to do than watch the ignorance on BET and MTV, not music programs but the reality TV. I being 54 and growing up in NY/NJ in the 70s and 80s luckily had Pops HOME and Uncles and Grandfathers both sides close by saw the societal decline in men of color and immigrants.
