      Hopefully the shrinkwrapping stays put!( I usually tarp these loads,due to shrink wrap falling apart during the journey)!

      @@robertsullivan3877 this shrink wrap stayed on very well through the whole drive. I’m assuming because the load was very low. Of it was taller than it probably would have ripped apart as it usually does.

      @@thechoznjuan6886 A lot of people are unaware just like I was when I first started that if you don’t put a twist in the strap it will vibrate in the wind.

      Thank you! We really only get one IRP plate to go on front of the truck in Missouri. I had ordered a second one for the rear when ai needed it in Florida but no longer need it so ai took it off.

      Thanks for supporting the channel. I have a dispatcher to find loads for me. Truckstop and DAT are the most popular load boards. Never heard of uship.

    Love your videos. Question Alex. Do you have a dispatcher who finds your loads or do you find the loads for the week before your week starts? Or do you look as you are en route? I am trying to get a grasp on trip planning. Thank you!

      Thanks for supporting and watching. Wasn’t really hard in the beginning. I was actually surprised. Indians get a lot of turn downs by brokers but big companies worked with me.

    Do you idle ur truck while sleeping at nights or what you do

      I don’t idle it. I have a Milwaukee fan battery powered but in hot summer nights it’s not that great. Sometimes will start the truck in the middle of the night for 10 min to get but cold inside and shut it off and continue sleeping. I need to get the portable ac by zero breeze.

    man , i’m semi truck driver with a 53’ flatbed and $8000 gross per week 😮 this is a great!!! i think i need to switch to a different job 😁

      It doesn’t always happen but $8k is my goal for the week. Semi just has more expenses in my opinion but also more comfort on the road. Always a plus and minus to everything. I think it’s all about timing. Being in the right place at the right time.

    Couple questions Alex. What's that digital gauge reader above your left side ac vent right above the tach? I was also curious if you have the link for your eld bracket setup and phone holder setup on your truck. Been looking at a few. Great video and thanks for the info Alex!

      That monitor is for the trailer TPMS sensors. The phone mount is by bulletpoint mounts I’ll link the website. They have different ones you can chose from. Also I’ll link the tablet mount.

    Hey Alex, thanks for the videos man. I live in Miami and I'm thinking about starting in a non CDL hot shot trucking but have zero experience in this industry. What do you think it should be my first step into it, bro?Buy a truck, rent a trailer, and find a dispatcher? Or work for somebody first ? Thanks again good luck and safe travels

      @@bjj685 Of you can work for someone, do that and get the feel for it. See if it’s something you want to really get into because it’s not cheap and you definitely don’t want to invest in a truck and trailer if you end up not liking this job.

      I do. It’s always good to recheck everything after first 50 miles because things can shift in the beginning.

    Quick question
    What is best ply tire, 14 or 16?
    Upgrading my Chevy 3500 to 19.5 and looking at tires
    Also do you use drive and steer tires or all position?

      @@CSell-qi4ds my truck has 10 ply tires since it doesn’t have 19.5” rims. My trailer has 16 ply. Normally the 19.5 truck tires come with 14 ply which are great. Doubt you need 16 ply for the truck. The ride will be rough. Trailer on the other hand, you can go with 16 ply. Stronger and should last longer. Can also carry more weight.

      I don't want to speak for Alex but twisting the straps keeps them from flapping in the wind believe it or not. I believe I've seen him transport vehicles but I don't thing they are his prefered freight....

      Twisting straps prevents them from vibrating in the wind. Trailer handles vehicles well but I’m not a fan of transporting them unless I really have to.

      I haven’t calculated my fuel expenses but probably between $1500-2000 spent on fuel.

    Can someone tell me if ratchet straps is mandatory for hotshot n why?….n when do you use them ?

      Any type of strap is needed to secure loads. No matter of it’s a ratchet strap or a strap that uses sliding winches on you trailer. Nothing is mandatory. Just a preference of which kind you want to use.

      170k. Only issues I’ve had were emissions related. DPF filter.

      @@rigobertoespinoza1685 I’ve used bottled stuff from Walmart for over the year and then changed to using truck stop def. I don’t see any difference to be honest. DPF filter issues don’t happen from def since def comes after the dpf.

    Hey Alex, love your vids and especially your personality, you are chill and so your vids! One thing would be great if possible, shoot some short videos from the actual driving, like when you drove from ct to tx for 2 days, I bet you’ve seen cool places along the way, just 20 - 40 seconds of road would be a great addition to your vlogs! You can check Дядя Вова Классик USA channel, he does a great job recording videos but it’s Russian language channel even though he has a great content.       Thank you! I try to include driving segments in my videos but sometimes I don’t. I’m trying to get better at that. Sometimes there’s just too much going on and I forget. I will try to get better with that though 😁

      That’s gross. If you’re asking on cost of fuel per mile, I don’t ever average that. No point in doing that. Mileage wise it’s 9-10 average per gallon.
