Steve Graham you are a legend, you serve the country people with a smile on your face. What a great Aussie you are. My Father was a truck driver for more than 55 years so I have a great respect for the job you do xxxxx
When I drove trucks in the 1970s in TX, I always, *always* carried a spare belt for the alternator and/or water pump, as well as a 50-odd pound toolbox, gasket materials/sealer and made SURE my battery had at least 25% overcapacity for the maximum electrical drain.
Come on down to Perth Western Australia, lots of Afrikans here and you will find a job driving long haul within a day. We have a lot of Indians driving here now, they come from India and get a job instantly. Dricus Du plessis is fighting here next month so you could watch that too
Both are extreme environments and come with unique challenges. I've done outback driving and ice road driving and I would say they're equally difficult. 😮😮👍👍
Why don't Outback Truckers always carry an atv like a three wheeler w/ floater tires and a rear rack on it w/ five gallons of gas in a jerry can to ride when stuck or broke down ?
A Cabover on a road train sorta like a jumbo shrimp but why beat that man to death?? All those T-800’s and fright shakers. Seems like it would put large animals right in your lap even with a catcher. These guys know more than I do though. They definitely know their sh*t, just wondering.
How many miles do you get on these trucks running down roads like that before major service is needed? Here they commonly see a million miles before major service.
If I was going through a mud hole that I had to wait a day to get through I would definitely throw some chains on my tires To give myself the best chance possible.
@@bigjay6743 you can't mess up the road for other people behind you though...the officers are right behind you in their Land cruisers.I don't know if they call it DOT over ther there.
Doesn't work here. Sinking into black soil isn't like driving on ice or snow its more like muddy quick sand. Chains more likely to wreck rims and road surface as well. Bog cog, diffs interaxle locked, momentum and crossed fingers or not attempt at all are best bets.

Welcome to the outback - scorching heat one day, flooded the next! How would you tackle drivin through floodwaters?
Depends on how bad it is

New reality TV show. Can these outback truckers handle the frozen Canadian tundra? Can the ice road truckers handle the outback?
That’s the best idea I’ve ever heard
@@haydencaswell5450 dont forget to read that in the cheesey narrator voice that we all know and love.
That would be some quality TV aye! Cant say we'd last long in the cold like those ice road truckers haha

So what is the screen on the bottom of the Windshield for ?
This is to avoid flying rocks during a storm
Unbelievable cruiser safe the day
I was wondering if the guy driving the cruiser was Al Quiring 😂
About the 13:55 mark? Her husband grabbed the steering wheel. My co-driver ever do that, they would be eating a KNUCKLE SANDWICH
Gordo how gets on top at night 😂😂😂😂
9:20 Cruiser power!!!!
Awesome video More 👍😀
Cheers mate! Plenty more to come. What do you wanna see more of?

If he was stuck in this road before, why didnt he bring any recovery gears? hmmmmm.... or the other truckers, it should be mandatory. :(

Never heard of Tyre Chains ?

What make and model are some of these trucks?
I’ve never seen such stupidity for so called experience drivers with incorrect tow equipment

Why don't you guys use to staps instead of chains for pulling trucks
Gotta put in drama because life is mostly BORING which is a good thing

Great way too ruin a truckers show. Put turbo in the scene 😢
This commentary is over exaggerated and lies. 🙄
Too much fabricated drama. Can't watch this brainless stuff.
Turbo....biggest fkhed to ever hold a steering wheel
