See I don't even think it's that. My mom did a great job by herself, and I'm a first gen dean's list college senior now. I honestly think if my dad was involved I'd have turned out worse. I think a lot of it has to do with single parenthood being disproportionately more common in lower income settings. You're absolutely right though that it's an issue of correlation being mistaken for causation regardless

I'm sorry sis, but you need to learn to respect yourself. I know a lot of women are taught to be submissive and cater to men's egos.
