I know this is an old post, but my dad used to play this and every once in a while I think about this song and it reminds me of the good times we had together. Thanks for sharing
My father and eldest brother (two separate people ) both used to play this. It just popped into my head after 50 years for no reason other than I was playing some of the oldies on my piano. I've never played it myself but I really miss those days.
Ok, your magnificent performance has inspired me to play this bravura piece. I’m serious, I bought your edition of it. I grew up watching Myron Floren play it on his accordion! I’ve analyzed this piece and I wonder if the composer was doing a jazzy improvisation on routine scales and arpeggios and in general piano exercises. I’m wondering what you, the player think about that. It’s such a fun and even a useful technical piece and any audience would love it. Bravo.
Exactly. My piano teacher many years ago kept at me to play it faster, faster. I was only 16 and not interested in Zez. I played my first piano recital playing Dizzy Fingers. ha ha
Really good piano playing btw. I wish I was as good as you! It was amazing. When the piece is played fast it sounds really col and there is a lot of cool melodies going on. Loved it!
the flourish at the end ... that is not in my sheet music of the piece. did u add that urself? or are there more than one dizzy fingers by zez out there i dont know about...? thnx for sharing
in the Novelty Piano world, relatively speaking, it's not too hard to play Dizzy Fingers, if you've got solid arpeggios it shouldn't be too challenging. Very well executed though ^^
Hi! I am currently learning this piece for my AMEB Grade 6 Piano exam. I am struggling to pick up the speed and getting my fingers to move smoothly. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Chelsea Cameron. I played this one a few years back for my AMEB exam as well. My teacher got me to practice it really slow, like really slow for one week straight. Not fast that week even once. Was much easier speeding it up after that.
Everyone plays it like this. Learn to enjoy it. It's great and an awful lot of fun. I was looking through the comments for you knowing full well you would be complaining about the tempo haha
My father would play this song on the piano when my mother took her time getting ready to go out for dinner. lol
Hilarious! :D

I REALLY like your style. Just 'play' no theatrics, body wobbling, exaggerated motions ~a PLEASURE to watch & listen!
My clothes just spontaneously developed pinstripes
Incredible, incredibly smooth.
I played this once at a concert at my music school, still regret not recording it, I think people really liked it.
Great man! Love that ending! Wish I could hear you each day as you practice your scales to get them so fast!
That is the most fun thing I've heard in such a long time! Thank you!
What a happy uplifting song! Thank you
I used to be able to play this, once, a long long time ago. Thanks Mrs. Provenzano!
Me too
I played it, but about one fifth this speed.
What a fun piece. I would love to learn this one.

Excellent performance. Normal speed playback, no hocus-pocus. Don't feed the trolls.

Not that you take requests, but maybe someday could you play The Crave by Jelly Roll Morton for us?

Practice SLOWLY the parts you find hard and gradually increase the tempo for those parts.
nice
When I took piano lessons in1941 my teacher played Dizzy Fingers much to my delight.
Cheeky ending :D
wow, i'm dizzy from the brilliance
Hey, way, way too doggone fast! I played this (by heart) for a concert when i was in 8th grade. But accurate...
I can totally see Chico Marx playing this.
i came here from the super slow and dame is that faster
w h a t
................ HOW
très piquant!
Why so fast!?
Everyone plays it like this. Learn to enjoy it. It's great and an awful lot of fun.
I was looking through the comments for you knowing full well you would be complaining about the tempo haha
@@dylan-kerry xD I always complain about the tempo when Confrey himself recorded this on a roll with a far slower tempo.
ANOTHER MONEY IN THE BANK!
Seems awfully fast. But I love your Zez music.
Yes that's how everyone plays this asides from the composers rolls
LOL! You cheated!!
too fast..?
