Mike Rashid speech is full of simplicity and no bullshit. He seem´s to be inteligent and finally bodybuilders start talking some truth about their workouts. Just simple and plain work,

    i started Mike's "over-training" 2 1/2 wks ago....and i have never felt better....I'm 43 yrs old too...and lift hundreds of lbs at work everyday.and head straight to the gym after... 3 days a wk......mind you;i'm also..a true "ecto-morph"..6'3" 167...small boned with about 7.5 % body fat...and this "over-training" is so far a blessing...TY Mike & CT....

Hmmm.. I'm an ectomorph as well, tall & lanky with little bones & slender muscles. Maybe I should look into this.

Im natural, and an ex boxer, I understand the intensity that mike is bringing, Ive been training this way since before I'd found him due to the fact its simply how a good fighter trains. Since swapping from fighting to lifting, I have gained 10 kg lean muscle in two years therefor what mike has done with him self is definitely achievable with the years of persistence. I believe you guys that worry about what hes taking are too tied up within some sort of end result to your training, this is a life style for mental growth, not a shopping center for which body you think you deserve.

Mike your the Bible of training. Everyone disputes you but your the truth for those who choose to embrace your preaching's and practice. Keep doing you. I was 22 stone in December, but because i believe in your teachings and over trained (plenty stupid pumps too) i am now 20 stone and hopefully by summer a nice lean 18 stone and i am 6ft 4. Thanks again bro.

As a runner always been skin and bones most of my life. Started lifting the way Mike and CT lift and went from 147 to 168 in 3 months. Overtraining and burning out are a must, believe me it works. Reps of 30, 50 and even 100 and a bunch of sets.

I just decided changed my workout to 6 days a week:
Day 1 - Front Upper Body+Back Upper Body
    Day 2 - Upper Limbs
    Day 3 - Lower Limbs
Day 4 - Front Upper Body+Back Upper Body
    Day 5 - Upper Limbs
    Day 6 - Lower Limbs
I end up hitting shoulders on Days 1 and 4 because of the pushing movements of presses and pull movements of shurgs and lateral raises. I hit every angle of the push and pull movements. In theory it makes sense. Can't wait to see the results.

A good to train bench presses is to tuck the elbows in, it won't necessarily eliminate the shoulders but it will hit the chest and triceps harder and also keep the shoulders externally rotating better which will make the overhead movements easier to perform.

Some how, Mike seems to have gotten bigger recently. Much respect Mike! You've helped me blast through some plateaus.
    One question:
Is there a significant difference between having your thumbs wrapped around the front as opposed to having then around the back like you do?
    If so, what is it?
    Thanks!

its called a false grip. I'm not a know it all but i know experienced lifters tend to do that cuz it helps with balance and leverage of the barbell to me personally.

I love all the people arguing if mike rashid takes steroids. Really I could give a fuck if he does or doesn't. The guy is a hell of a motivator. He has some awesome workouts, that not only slam every muscle fiber in your body, but bring your mental grit up higher than anything you could imagine.
So shut up and hit the weights Rashid style, and feel fucking good, because if you take the roids or not you still gotta work your ass off.

Anyone can do this; anyone can train as hard as Rashid. However, it will take too damn long to recover from these workouts if you are not taking any 'enhancing' drugs. This stuff is good for pushing yourself past your limits and becoming stronger mentally. I trained like this for a week and a half and I was just burnt out. I liked overtraining because of the self discipline and pushing your mind and body, but if you're trying to build muscle and recover the proper way naturally, I wouldn't do this long-term. Then again, do whatever you want. I'm irrelevent, but that's my opinion.

your shoulders... from what I've seen have always been a big part... I hope people here know that "anabolic steroids" are not the ONLY performance enhancing drugs. Ton of other alternatives are also great for building muscle. Insulin growth like factors, growth hormones, estrogen alternatives (ya that's right estrogen)...
So yes, "overtraining" method does work. But, you need to be 1) an very experienced and advanced lifter, and 2) very well monitored diet, and 3) most likely on some sort of performance enhancing drug to keep this up for a year.

Shoulder, Millitary press is a overtrated exercise!
Most of the people forget the side delts, who gives your that width!!
Mike, your said press is the most important movement, it doesn`t make sense, cause it would make more sense, if your hit chest instead of shoulders, cause your just work your front delts.
thats no hate, i love what your doin, i am an amateur bodybuilder from germany

mike what do you think about pre-exhausting the muscle prior to your main movement EX. medial delt raises prior to military presses. Because I pre-exhaust as soon as i walk into the gym on every muscle group just wondering if it may be holding my gains back because i'm not at full strength before my main movement
