- The Premier League season has been sensational. Man City were fantastic, Arsenal were dazzling, Manchester United were atrocious and Luton were nearly a fairytale. But could anyone actually have predicted the way the season would turn out. Part of what makes football so enthralling is its unpredictability...but we have to try. So let's see how my predictions fared at the beginning of the season.

It is quite funny that the one you're proud of is guessing Villa finish in the Champions League, but in your final table prediction you have them 6th behind Chelsea

First thing i came on the comments section to do was call him out for predicting Villa gets 4th yet didn't bother putting them in 4th for his final table 😂😂 also the fact he gave it chest then lost all credibility by not sticking to his Gun's,
5th could have been enough for Champions league this season though… so not to bad a prediction to be fair, just a shame English teams were shit in Europe

I got my all time best at 38 this year and some friends of mine got 36 this year. It was one of the more predictable years, many people got many things right. Last year was a shocker in comparison for many.

As a Villa fan the signs were there at the end of last season. From the day Villa appointed Emery until the end of 2022/2023 season, Villa had accumulated the 4th most points in that time, they were in CL form, Gerrard had just held us back at the start of that season. So us Villa fans were quietly confident we could do something, but to keep up that form for the whole next season is beyond impressive. Can not wait for the UCL nights next year. UTV!

The table was bad. But I think I had Luton & Burnley to stay up. They both just lacked the quality but they played the right style of football & their approach to being in the PL was good. Thought City would win the league as like last season Haaland is just a cheat code.

Stop with this narrative, football has been around longer than the EPL.Also Chelsea didn’t win a FA CUP until 1970 while spurs won their first FA CUP in 1901 as a non league club. History matters

Half the fun of predictions is it’s guessing. No one can see the future, some people have the balls to do it on UA-cam, others to Dave, down the boozer.
If Brighton don't get relegated next season, then it won't be too long before they do. They're a 3rd/4th tier club, as proven by them playing at that level for 95% of their existence as a football club. It's just a matter of time before they go back to their traditional level.
Brighton are now a premier league club on merit,in life things change & just cos they've spent most of their past in the lower leagues it doesn't mean shit to what is currently taking place at the club nowadays. Brighton now are the envy of most clubs making profit year on year & are clearly very well run using the latest data in recruitment & bringing many players through their academy & later selling them on for big fees, they're playing in a purpose built stadium that is full most home games & averageing 30.000+. So where they were in the past is irrelevant & it gives other lower league clubs hope of a change for the better & clearly shows what a club that's had big problems over their history can do when talented people make good decisions in all areas at a football club,I'm not a Brighton fan,but I think Tony Bloom & co deserve Abit of credit for turning a shit show into a well oiled machine. 😊

The Kai Havertz take is not atrocious even we as arsenal fans questioned it for half the season, we said Arteta was stubborn for playing him and his form was questionable prior to our system. I'm pleased with his performances and how he's come in clutch but i need to see it for another season before i say he's lived up to his potential

11 from Jesus last year is not that much different from 13 Havertz scored this year (the Chelsea game really inflated his performances this season, is that quality or lack of it from Chelsea?)
I still think its too soon to say Havertz has turned a corner as next year he could follow the trajectory of the other two and fall off just as bad.
Or maybe he has turned a corner and he's improve next year. Saying that his confidence might be hit from the fact that Arsenal are looking for another striker, someone better than him to be Arsenals no.9. Basically admitting that they made a mistake and should have signed one last year.

It’s not only Arsenal fans that don’t rate him, it’s PSG fans too (coincidentally the only other big side he’s managed). He’s a fantastic manager but he hasn’t shown that he can do it at a big club, simple as. If you want concrete examples:
-Failed to win a one-team Ligue 1 in his first season at PSG
-Bottled top 4 with Arsenal when it looked nearly impossible by dropping points in 4 out of his last 5 games
-Thrashed in the Europa league final to Chelsea
-Tried everything he could to bottle top 4 this season with Villa

You conveniently forget that he lost to a Monaco team that had world class talent all over their starting eleven with players that went on to win Champions Leagues and league titles. Funny another manager bottled top four with far better players (Emery). As for him almost bottling UCL with Aston Villa. You must be joking. Aston Villa shouldn't even be within a sniff of the UCL.
