As for the note for Dream Theater - The Glass Prison - "The first track of the album, 'Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence’, "The Glass Prison", is the beginning of the Twelve-step Suite, dealing with Mike Portnoy's story of rehabilitation from alcoholism, continued in tracks on subsequent albums ("This Dying Soul" on Train of Thought, "The Root of All Evil" on Octavarium, "Repentance" on Systematic Chaos and "The Shattered Fortress" on Black Clouds & Silver Linings). "The Glass Prison" is composed of three parts, mirroring the first three of the twelve steps of the AA program by Bill W. for rehabilitation of alcoholics. Furthermore, it begins with the static phonograph noise that ended "Finally Free" on Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory.” I mean you can do this if you want to I just wanted to give everyone an idea of what the song is about plus you guys as well.
What time is your favorite reaction?
Please Dream Theater This Dying Soul Live I am waiting for many year
@@kiyara7277 yeaaahhh

Probably my favorite Dream Theater track. You guys are great! You recognize the mind blowing talent. No band can touch them.
Band with the most talented musicians of all time!!
Gotta do all 5 songs, This Dying Soul is next.
Right but i put new THE ALIEN
budokan version
Yes!! The live Budokan version of This Dying Soul
They won't survive This Dying Soul.
17:25 “ Being that good is just mean🤣” and 17:30 “That was insanity That was all the flexing of the flexist flexors in the entire universe of flex! “ 🤣🤣💜💜💜💜 Love you guys💜
🤣🤣🤣
"Being that good is just mean" probably wins it for me
One of the greatest prog metal songs ever! Agree with your minds being blown. All of ours were too!🙏🏻♥️🤟🏻
"Whatever you are, be a good one."- Abraham Lincoln
"Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past."- George Orwell
"That was all the flexing of the flexiest flexers in the entire universe of flex."- Suzie Q
My all-time favorite band. Nobody comes close to their musical talent.
Um... Rush... lol only 3 people too.
@@undericesingerthat is rock, not metal.
Symphony X does, in my opinion.
@@blackharpy7468 Tell me where in this comment that is specified metal for musical talent? I'm not even a big Rush fan. Lol
Dream Theater truly cranked up the guitars on this record 'Six degrees of inner turbulence' in 2002... also, Mike Portnoy (ex-drummer) added his vocals w/ vocalist James LaBrie on the record. On the next album 'Train of thought' in 2003, Dream Theater brought in the metal 🤘🤘🔥🔥for sure. The one after that ('Octavarium' in 2005) was more of a return to the prog & pop rock influences... Fans like me were really happy w/ the double CD 'Six degrees of inner turbulence'... 'The test that stumped them all' is still one of my faves.
This dying soul is a must for u guys
You will blown away from the very beginning. If not plz try legendary "Count of Tuscany" or In the name of god. Two masterpieces from DT. Love your DT reaction ❣️
budokan pls
Dude the ending of This Dying Soul is absolutely bonkers.
This Dying Soul is tied with Home for me as my favorite D.T. song.
This dying soul live at budokan!
"my eyeballs are gonna pop out of my head" !!!! LMAO !!!! Yes that is what Dream Theater will do to you !!!
One word about this song: DRUMS !!!
I had the privilege seeing these guys play this album in its entirety when it came out, it was mind blowing 🤯 First DT show. Love the reaction 🤘🏻please continue the 12 step suite, you won’t regret it. You will hear reoccurring themes all throughout the suite.
didn't know they did that where was that? I don't think that was the norm on that tour right? I saw them on that tour my first time too at the Greek in LA but it was a mix setlist
@@ejRecording it was at the Warfield in SF.
Man I´m jealous. Such a good album!
the intro static is a continuation to the static that was in the outro of Finally Free, the last song in the previous album, Metropolis pt.2
Her reaction from 15:53 onwards cracked me up!!!
😂🤣😂😆🤪
The keyboard wizard and the guitar jesus makes sense 😂🤘
Dream theater the real true musician 💪💪💪
I havnt missed a dt tour since the first album and this is one of those songs that needs to be played every tour
'When wildly windmilling your arms about, mind the colleague behind you'.
Dream Theater - In The Name of God live at Budokan
“Being that good is just mean”. What a great line!!! I saw them do this live. They opened with it. Was truly awe inspiring.
Under the glass moon would be d... Perfect! 😍😍
Good piece that'Z for sure . Remember the beginning so iconic ! Bell of Portnoy Sir Travis . 5'44" Love this Spirit Mylady , love this duo . I think this title was inspired by Portnoy himself . Your colours match blinds the eyes 15'30" Yes my Sir the magic is there . Odd timing by the band with splash upbeat cymbal accents by Portnoy . 20'15" ❣ Agree Sir agree on what you two have said . And bytheway... inspired comments by you two my FriendZ ❤
I've been a DT for 24 years and this is till my favourite song!!! Great reaction and appreciation for the song which changed my opinion of prog metal forever! Mike Portnoy (the drummer at the time) wrote the lyrics about his struggles with alcoholism and his steps through the AA program and this song is the starting steps and there are other songs from the next albums which continue that journey.
Im always coming back and watching this. Puts a big smile on my face❤
This amazing music from dream theater everytime.. amazing DT
I have been a dream theater fan since the very beginning this is by far one of my favorite songs by this band everybody is firing on all cylinders and I mean everybody including the singer you to wolfhunters are unbelievably incredible your reactions your knowledge of music everything is just so spot on and it's an absolute pleasure to watch the two of you together
I just freakin love that song!
Thank you guys for not stopping too much! Your face was melting! What a great reaction video, letting them play!
Nice to see someone tackle this one in a reaction. I've loved this album ever since it came out, and this track in particular stands out significantly, for reasons which you've discovered. I remember seeing Dream Theater live for their previous album (Metropolis Pt II) in a neighbouring city, and then six months or so later they came around full circle for a gig in my hometown which was so small and low key (I happened to spot it on the back of a local music booklet, stacked on the counter in my local rock bar) that I had to double check that it wasn't a tribute band. These two gigs were most notable for being the first DT gigs that I managed to catch, and most prominently with their new keyboard player Jordan Rudess. Whilst Metropolis II was the first album that Jordan was with them for, I always felt that this album was a proper clean creative break, free from any ties to past work, and after awaiting their efforts boy did it deliver.
Every single reaction that you do is amazing you two are very funny and very serious about your reactions... You actually listen and give your honest opinions throughout... Love you guys.... Also on a side note.. Look into more dream theater any song will blow you away I promise... Ive seen these guys live 4 times.. They never ever disappoint... Thank you.. SQUATCH!!!!
Good stuff❗i still have this Album on Cassette, didn't have internet back then. 😅 Namaste🙏
The Glass Prison, about an alcoholic trying to escape his glass prison, the bottle but it's his only place to escape' Mike Portnoy is awesome on drums!
Hi Travis, Hi Suzie. Thank you so much for your reaction to this brilliant track from my favourite band. Thanks to Eric for suggesting the Glass Prison.
I saw them on tour in Manchester UK for this album...but the album had not been released...they opened up the gig with the Glass Prison...first time on hearing the whole venue was blown away 🤘.
The quote I like was Suzie's quote about flexiness...it was so funny I was laughing out loud. I will have to write it down 👍.
Travis...You are right about all the members of the band basically soloing at the same time dude. Looking forward to your next reaction guys. Peace and love from Liverpool UK 👍✌️🤘☮️
"Guys, my eyes are going to fall out of my head!" You should have said, "I almost stepped on my jaw!"
Your reaction is so fun guys thank you 😁🤟.
Thank for doing this guys . . Love it 😘
I like that yall are doing Dream Theater reactions, not many people do a lot of them. I just saw them Live in Washington DC on March 6th, and yes, they still bring it like they are still young.
Actually, DT have arguably the most reactions out there…🤟🏻🙏🏻
MORE dream theater please!
I have had this album since it first came out, and saw this tour. This is still my favorite DreamTheater song.
NO ONE COMES CLOSE!!!!!!!!
Ya, they're that good! Such a rich bounty of talent doesn't always work but these lads are consummate musicians whose creative gifts and godly ability make for epic music. Love this group! Thanks for the fun reaction!
Freakin epic song. Loved all the flex!
Listening carefully to the drums in the whoke last part (when the voice comes again) ... Thecdude is soloing.
one of my fav childhood bands! yall reactions are amazing!
Loved this SO MUCH!!! This is one of my favorite songs ever. Your reactions were gold!! 😄♥️ That's how I feel after the 9765391029th time I've listened to it 😆 I'm always here for your Dream Theater reactions, you guys are really good!! ❤️
Esta canción es espectacular, es brutal.
The dj scratching is also from the keyboardist
My eyes were falling out of my head. That was during the face melting guitar solo!! 🤘🤘
Love how much you guys are getting into DT
The static intro in SDOIT is in fact the outro of the Metropolis Pt 2 album.
Hey, guys! Cool reaction! You're so right about the musicianship those guys bring to the table... It is incredible.
With your reaction I wished you would have mentioned the lyrics since the last part is so important for the whole journey represented in the song. MASTERPIECE!
Love your Dream Theater reactions! Peace.
Along the Dream Theater line, you must listen to Fates Warnings, Still Remains, live.
Woah this is great, I wasn't aware you two started reacting to Dream Theater. I am all on board for this, hopefully I am not too late. Great band, tons of very complex, epics songs.
Not only do I love Dream Theater...but u guys are great...always enjoy
Y’all need to do the live version! 🙌🏻
20:14 Los que escuchamos Dream Theater cuando volvemos del laburo en el colectivo. 😂😂🤣🤣
Odd-time signatures at its best. This is my 2nd favorite DT album ever, that never changes.
As for the vocals, during the first part of the song, Portnoy (drums) starts off singing, that dark voice and then is followed by the absolutely incredible James LaBrie's leading vocals. The guitar from Petrucci along with Myung's bass is just out of this world. As for the keyboards well Jordan Rudess is always turning everything quite interesting for every soul listing to this.
Pops to you guys, remember this is a double CD, disc number two is a 42 minute piece of insanity 🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
I got into Dream Theater back in 03 and they’ve been one of my favorites ever since. Prog Rock/Metal royalty! Their entire discography is such a fucking treat! Made me become a much better musician as well and tipped me off to so much more complex and interesting music. Your minds were melted and deservedly so! That’s Dream Theater for you!
It's unfair being THIS Good! Lol
Travis and Suzy, there are also drum videos with Mike portnoy and then calls it six degrees of inner drumming. He has more of them….also fun( for a drummer like me who also has ear for detail!!!!!) enjoy!!
I really enjoy you 2. Thank you
Dream Theater - Lost not Forgotten live next please
My fav “thing” isn’t actually a word or phrase but that look y’all get especially with Dream Theater 😳😳. Keep it up y’all 👍👍
*NOT a word or a phrase….
Love watching peoples first impressions of DT especially when they drop the power beats. Looking forward to the stink face reactions! You guys are the best! p.s. love the comment "being that good is mean" I actually lol'ed
great reaction guys... you guys are awesome
This to me is apex of dream theater. With so much beautiful stuff on either side of this top. Quite a few people are able to play this stuff today, but to write it in the first place. Thats the most amazing thing to me.
You have the coolest wife EVER! Props to you guys for your genuine reactions to this group. Would love to see you do a reaction to A Change Of Seasons. That was the first song I ever heard from them and I’ve been a fan since. Trust me you won’t be disappointed 🤘🏻
Its ALWAYS NICE TO SEE HOW much fun you guy have doing the reactions... also thanks for reaction top this masterpiece
TOU talaal k toomucha
You guys are just great
"That was all the flexing of the flexist flexors in the entire universe of flex! " you just explained dream theater in a way that I've been trying to since 1999... High definition of a roaming beast....
Mike portnoy ALIEN drumming in this, just out of this world... How sweaty do you think he was after this?
Loved Suzy’s little scream at 16:50, almost like a safe word 🤣. Also the entire reaction during the breakdown and double keyboard-guitar solo was amazing!!!
This song is a monster
One of my fave reactions of yours along with LTE 'Acid Rain' live - keep them coming /,,/
Love it you both reaction at 15:52 and so on.. 😅🤘
And yes, DT are crazy talented musicians. They have become role models for various musicians in the world.
Always loved their long prog rock style songs
Awesome reaction, DT is trully mind blowing
Pour moi la meilleure intro de dreams theater!! 🙏💯💪
Just bananas!!!😂🙏🏻♥️ Amazing band, one of the greatest….ever!
“My eyeballs almost fell out of my head”
15:51 Is my favorite part of your reaction because everyone probably reacted the same way when hearing this. You're jamming out, and then you just freeze in awe and just watch what is about to unfold. I know that's how I was when I heard this part!
Best stank face so far Suzi!
DT is perfection! You should do a calm song with DT and i would say Space dye west then.
Ótimos vídeos, parabéns pelo trabalho.
Do the whole 12 step suite, it’s insane.
Nice reaction broo..
keys sound like some 70's kung fu fight scenes LOL
The high vocsls!
I am going to see them on Monday live in Austin
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!
This and panic attack were the first two DT tracks that I ever heard.. been hooked ever since.. just saw them last week and they were great!! Check out “This Dying Soul” or “The root of all evil” or “In the Name of God”
Love the King Crimson nod squeezed in there. 17:18 One busy tune.
I love when you two react to Dream Theater!! do all dee songz!! lol
Larga vida a Dream Theater.
Si te dejo sincero este es de los discos que menos suelo escuchar de Dream Theater, pero debo admitir que está canción entra sin duda en mi top 10 de canciones de Dream Theater 🤘
Mike Portnoy absolute beast mode !
17:26 They get it, guys. They get it.
20:16 LMAO!
"The drums are coming from everywhere" pretty accurate, this song is total mayhem in a very good way, shows the chaotic side of being addicted. But wait and see Honor Thy Father from them just as heavy and crazy drums.
16:36 the best reaction of all time😅
The flexiest of the flex indeed! Check out the DT track As I Am!!
This album was 2 discs. The first had 5 or 6 songs on it. The second, well, it was the 6 Degrees suite. 1 song, 6 parts, all amazing!! About 40min long. You should do a reaction to that.
