Beautiful even in imperfections...Class doesn't age ❤
At this point it's about seeing him live. He's lost an entire octave of range but. I love him and I wouldn't care.
Right? What kind of an idiot would chance not seeing him for possibly the last time just because he can’t sing like he used to?
At 78, he's an absolute LEGEND ❤ i don't care how he sounds, im still flying in from Canada to NYC to see him!!!! ✈️🎸
✈🎸❤
Same here!!!!!
Same!
Timeless, amazing thanks for posting
I’m shocked he’s dropped coming
Back to life and a great day for freedom to Eb, but not “Time”, but is arguably the hardest of the 3 to sing.
Wrong, he played both Great Day for Freedom and Coming back to life
And Great gig in the sky
You need to read the post again. I never said he didn’t play them, I said he has dropped their tuning to Eb, to make them easier for him to sing 👌🏻
@@kjek1 bit harsh to say you're shocked though. He has to make some concessions to age.
@@alangillespie eh? I don’t think you’ve read the post properly. I’m not surprised he’s dropped the tuning of some songs, that’s to be expected since he’s nearly 80. I’m surprised he’s tuned two songs down to Eb but not altered the tuning of Time which is harder to sing than the other two he’s playing in drop tunings.
Time is a pretty hard song to sing especially at 78 years old.
Not for Jon Anderson😀
Thanks for sharing this 🙏🥰. Even if he makes mistakes on solos, this is magic 😍🤘. Cheers from France 🇫🇷
Don't sing it then
Love seeing David back on tour!
Thanks for posting!
Sublime.
Wow, what a beautiful song, she’s gonna be a star! Must’ve been a very proud for David
Grande Gilmour, este espero en Chile! 🇨🇱
Lunga vita a Sir Gilmoure🤟
Thanks for uploading
To the ones saying his singing sucks, check out his rehearsal performance recently posted. Im sure he is just having some vocal fatigues going on here
Poor bugger, hes been rehersing alot , needs to give the voice a rest before jumping back at it full force. Still, age shall not weary this legend.
Bravo
See you tomorrow in Circo Massimo..can't fokin' wait!❤
My generation🤟🎸☮️
Love this song. He’s had to go lower and that’s good. He had no trouble with CF in the rehearsal concerts. Love the Floyd and he and Rick were the heart
What is CF?
I think he sang Breathe much better than on the rehearsal version (except for the first "run") but he unfortunately he sounded really bad on Time, even worse than the rehearsal version. He should either drop it or do the arrangement that PF did live in the 70s when Rick did a lower harmony on the verse. David could do that part and have someone else do the main ilne.
How about you kick rocks? This guy is 78! Cut my dude some slack
@@aaronjaehutcheson Why attack me? I'm simply pointing to a possible solution to a problem, that's it.
@@4ctmam because some people are tone deaf and picky, so he does what he can. You can’t please everyone. Like imagine if he sang CN in Am instead of Bm. Then, that would summon another crowd of “but why didn’t you do it like the original?? Grrr.” I feel like saying he sounds bad is unfair because he’s nearly 8 decades old. That’s a LOT of time for your voice to lose some power. I noticed that sometimes he nails it, sometimes he doesn’t, sometimes he drops it lower, he just does what he thinks is best in the moment. You even see him go grab some water while the keyboardist is singing, for example. Also the way he carries himself even seems like he’s kicking the bucket soon
@@aaronjaehutcheson First of all, I never said I didn't know why he struggled with his voice in this son or that I was expecting anything different. Second of all, I never said he sounded bad overall, in fact I praised his singing on Breathe.
The thing about being picky and tone deaf - I don't quite get it. Surely, a tone deaf person wouldn't recognise if someone was singing out of tune, let alone if a song was played in a different key, so why would they be picky?
Also, just because there will always be someone complaining, doesn't mean that they're all wrong or that people should be bullied for expressing their opinions. I happen to be of the opinion that lowering keys or changing some melodies to acommodate for the lowering of the voice is better than trying to force the original melodies in the original key if the singer can't pull it off anymore. Some may disagree and if they want to discuss that, it's totally fine. But I have an opinion, which I think I expressed in a respectful way. Telling me to "kick rocks" was a personal attack - totally uncalled for.
@@4ctmamthese people don’t want to admit that he’s aging and it sounds bad lol. They forget that you pay top dollar for these tickets. Cutting him some slack isn’t the point lmao
🎸👍🤟
Gilmour says he wouldn't play songs that are heavily associated with Waters and he played Time, which is 90% a Waters' composition, verse and chorus and lyrics 😅 i think it's unavoidable though, before all, to sing his lyrics, sometimes his compositions
Is that Don Dokken singing?
David obviously has vocal problems here. Hopefully his voice can become adjusted to the live arena quickly( like an athlete in training)🤞
Che strazio e che band modesta
Gary Wallis e Jon Carin per esempio, avrebbero spaccato
Anyone that thinks this is the way he sings today because he is 78 does not understand shit about music. He has obviously a cold or he would not even start a tour like this.
His voice is shot
So are you.
He hadn’t toured in some 7-8 years here. His last few US shows have been phenomenal especially his singing
Thanks. Hopefully he works it out. What a drag it is getting old.✌️🐖🐑
It’d sound a hell of a lot better if he just tuned to D standard and sang everything a full step lower. He’s really struggling here.
Una lastima cómo cantó Time!
🏀🏀
"He's 78."
"He must have a cold."
"He's saving his voice for the rest of the tour."
Excuse after excuse. The man can't sing anymore. 'Time' is an abomination.
5:10 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
8:15 he must be sick
David, It's TIME to end singing
It's nice seeing him play guitar but seeing Roger Waters live is a whole lot better. Even he doesn't struggle that much with his vocals and his backup singers are better. Rogers shows/visual are definitely wayyyyy better!
Yes probably bc he uses a a prerecorded track 😅
@@Chamarlouand nope. His voice cracks too but it's not that bad
I was there last night, this was the most unfortunate point when it comes to his singing. For the rest, the sound quality and the light show were spotless. And Roger doesn’t have David playing guitar in his shows, that’s the main drawback 😉
@@AsterisApostolidis but he does have Dave Kilminster playing guitar and he's fucking great! But that's really cool that you were there! A legend will always be a legend
Roger dont need to struggle with his 2 octaves range ;-)
He should follow Roger Waters example and lip sync especially on Time. He sounds really bad trying to hit the higher notes.
I would not buy tickets if he lipsynced live, what a rancid comment to make.
@@johnyamahakeyboard7472 his voice is embarrassing. I wouldn’t pay a dime to hear that.
truth is, he's not singing for your comments or your votes
@@ricknorris1466 cause you seems to be a consumer only. But this is your choice - in the end, nobody cares at all
Love David. But he shouldn’t be singing any longer. ❤
It depends from the song, I saw him tonight and some songs were amazing: sorrow, coming back to life, a boat lies waiting…
I think he mainly has a problem with time, of course his voice is not the same but it’s not that bad either. He’s not able to reach all the very high notes but as I said it depends from the songs.
I know for a fact every single person in that crowd cared not one bit
@@finnmacdiarmid3250 - I agree. But still.
@quellidelpaddock55 Should not be singing! People pay vast amounts of money for flights, hotels etc & expect a proper show! I'm not bashing David as 2006 Albert Hall was the best show I witnessed musically & I've seen Floyd 3 times & Roger David solo many times & I actually feel a bit sad seeing him like this! However I can understand people still want to see him play but not for me sadly as I'm finding myself comparing shows.
First nite gitters, go easy on him! at least he is singing not like some
It’s………old…..very….very…old….time to walk away when your voice goes and your back up singers sing out of key…no shame…just walk away.
