In an earlier cut of the PEPSI MAX/007 ad, when 'Bond' hits the bus with his snowboard, we see Richard Kiel (Jaws from MOONRAKER and THE SPY WHO LOVED ME) on it, but they cut that out in later broadcasts for some reason.
These are the posh drinks. I was brought up on Fine Fare yellow pack, Panda Pop and the ultimate school yard humiliation; My Mums... Cola in the yellow cans bought from the VG.
that R. Whites song still occasionally pops into my head every now and then, 40 years later.. Usually while I'm in the shower and the acoustics are perfect to sing along...
Used to love Britvic 55! Also Quash was the nicest orange cordial ever. The Aldi one, which is only 99p tastes exactly the same! Thanks for our Friday nostalgia trip Steve👍
@@mgthestrange9098 Quash just reminds me of the 70's especially the roasting hot summers we had back then, along with Jubbly orange, triangle drink cartons :)
To this day I'm puzzled as to the chain of events that led to an orange squash named after a Māori greeting being advertised, in the UK, with _Dumbo_ style, US Jim Crow-era cartoons. (I'm also puzzled as to what, exactly, is the appropriate amount of oranginess for crows, but this I find amusing rather than unpleasant. 😃)
1:42 my sister saved up for the Fanta T shirt, it was a good one. It was orange & white striped with Mickey Mouse on it. 5:22 I’ve never saw that Coke advert with British voices before, I’ve only saw it with American voices. Great selection as ever. 🍹
The music in the Coca-Cola Olympic History ad at 7:05 is a song called Temple Head, by Transglobal Underground. I never knew it had been in a coke advert!
I'm familiar with the track. I think I must have heard about four or five different remixes of it over the years. Smooth Chill radio station often play it. Worth a look if you can find the station.
I have such strong memories of Vimto Kwenchy Kups at primary school (though they may have been Vimto in similar packaging, rather than actual Kwenchy Kups), but I never really liked still Vimto. But the advert also reminded me I have such strong, and pleasant, memories of being introduced to "Dirty Vimto" one Christmas - Blue WKD mixed with port, that really did a) taste remarkably like fizzy Vimto and, b) got you totally plastered without really noticing. And now I want one - thanks Steve, your soft drinks advert compilation is making want to get drunk! 😁😄

Surely if your cleaning windows that high up you should be wearing the requisite safety clothing and a Hi-Vis jacket? Surely sacked after 1 day you would think!
Oh, the blatant sexism in that Diet Coke advert! Objectifying us men ☹️. 😉 Speaking of Coca Cola I cannot drink the stuff as quickly as the actors in the adverts. That stuff gives me a belly ache. I'll only it as a mixer with a spirit. Vimto: I used to love that drink. Whatever happened to it? I think the chap in the R Whites advert was/is singer sonwriter Elvis Costello's dad.
Wow! 😮 I've never seen the R Whites Mr Benn advert! Feeling very thirsty now 👍

I've always really liked the taste of some of the cheaper orange squashes. They have a certain taste to them that I like.
I feel your pain!
The R Whites ad must be one of the most memorable ads of all time. I don’t remember the Mr Ben crossover though.
One of a selection of variations that were made when the ad was revived in the 1990s.

I've been drinking Vimto cordial lately. There's one that's strawberry, orange and lime. It's like sherbet in drink form. So lovely!
I’m more of a Kia Ora fan myself, which you can still get. Most other ones I’ve tried are just too sour. 😫

I truly love this channel! Thank you I really appreciate it!!
No probs! 😎👍

Another great video, well done Steve

Yes, the American accent version was on a previous compilation. I used it again because of the British accents.

Same here, floating in Coke might be fun at first but after that they’re left to slowly dissolve into nothing. I don’t imagine that’s much fun.
Pretty cool though, right? 😏
At 4:43 that fish monster reminds me of a content creator called DoomCock by using the same voice modulation system.
Those kids and the lovely taste of e numbers😅😅😅
Aye, it's what made us what we are now! 🤪
55% pure orange juice; so the remainder was water, presumably. And that was the unique selling point? 🤨

Check out Blue Peter kids TV programme. Climbing big Ben and Nelsons column. No hi vi's or safety equipment back then 😂
I can't believe they got permission to use Disney characters on the Fanta ad.

I like a diet coke or pepsi as a whiskey mixer. Vimto is still going. I have some in the kitchen right now.
That old chestnut! The song was by his dad but the actor in the advert was Julian Chagrin.
