The best thing about the Mafia Series is that not 1 of the 3 games has a happy ending they are all sad endings Tommy gets killed Vito losses pretty much everyone he loves and then exiled from his home Lincoln losses everyone he loves and then after he gets his revenge has nothing left and decides to leave and drift around depending on the ending you do Vito probably has somewhat of a good ending if you give him all the territory in 3 and leave Vito goes on to be the boss of his own crime family
