They do take up a lot of space! Both in the house on shelves and out on the track, they also take a lot of time to bring out and put out on the track, bringing out 8 takes me a careful 20 minutes! That's not bashing the walls or coaches coming down the stairs one at a time... Then trying to couple them up involves either alot of patience or usually a lot of swearing!
@@eddywilliams6212 I bet. I chose O in the end - that's bad enough in a small end terrace suburban! My dad models SM32 so it was tempting to have some standard gauge G3 (although not a perfect scale match it would have been a nice juxtaposition in the garden). I'm wondering if I should have stuck with 4mm or 3mm.....but the weight and size of larger scales in the garden is a wonder to behold 😊😄👍✌️
Could I get away with using them for g scale or are they too wide, ideally I wouldn't like them to be more than 11cm wide? 😃 Or is there a way I could just buy the outer skins of the coach because thats all I need really.
They are about 12 cm wide, for G scale, bearing in mind, they are about 3 foot long, so you would need to shorten the length, probs get 2 or 3 coaches out of one kit, i could sell the sides separately, but i have updated the way I make the side panels, so now the inner black skins have been replaced by a one piece curved clear plastic panel, this doubles as the glazing, making Assembly much quicker, but it also makes the side panels the most expensive part of the kit..
These are awesome, if only I had the room✌️👍😊
