I am a Delena fan and I don't like ppl judging Elena right now. This is Elena fighting bw who she should be and who she enjoys being. Whatever she is going through is justifiable. Also, Their different personalities and morals between Damon and Elena make their chemistry and their couple interesting and better for me.
That's called cheating if you are exploring who you are happier with when you are already in a relationship with one brother. Also, Elena from the first season itself was very close to Damon, but they justified her in everything she did. At least Katherine wasn't a hypocrite; she knew she wanted both.
Elena is only truthful with Damon,Damon is the only one that doesn’t judge her..Stefan,Caroline,and Bonnie is always judging Elena,and Elena is always trying to please her friends..truth is Elena is in love with Damon…
No Elena is super afraid of other people judgment and that's exactly what she got in this episode, Bonnie's judgment. Elena didn't feel guilty for what she was doing, she felt guilty that she got caught dancing with Damon intimately like that, she even said it in this scene, "I should be here with Stefan, l shouldn't be with him, I should be going through all of this with Stefan", she was in the zone and was absolutely enjoying herself until Bonnie showed up and she faced with utter jugdy look on Bonnie’s face and then Elena instantly went back to her self blaming version of herself and started acting like how she think Bonnie wanted her to act. In her entire human life, Elena tried her hardest to live up to everyone's expectations of her, to stay in a little box that others created for her, the box of a little innocent girl who can do no wrong. The only time she could be truly herself is when she's with Damon because she knows Damon would never ever judge her and he just loved her unconditionally with all of her flaws and all, when she's with Damon she's free to finally step out of the box and let her wild side out like what she was doing here but the moment she got caught, she chose to shrink herself yet again to fit in to that little box and she did this so she wouldn't be judged and won't disappoint her friend, she did the same with Stefan in this episode, instead of being honest and admit that she was having the time of her life there with Damon, she acted like it was a horrible experience and she didn't enjoy it because that's the reaction she knew Stefan was expecting for her to have so she wouldn't ruin the image of a perfect innocent girl that Stefan has of her. Both Stefan and Elena always pretended to be someone else when they’re together, afraid of showing their true self to each other and as the result, their relationship always stayed on the surface level barely holding on a very fragile foundation of shaky surface ready to collapse at any moment.
