Apologies for the LONG wait since I last posted, long story short I needed to catch up with my University work as I was scarily behind 😭 was worth it tho as I managed to get 90% on my assessment thank fuck. Was then planning to get this up before christmas but UA-cam said NO (copyright is the bane of my existence) however it is all cleared up now so we can get back into the swing of things! On that note, both Teen Wolf and Heartstopper will be up tomorrow so keep your eyes out for them. I remember HATING the whole sire bond storyline when the show first aired, but in hindsight it was important as a tool to better analyse Damon and Elena's relationship. Season 4 is my favorite, things get WILD so buckle up :)
What people don’t understand about the psychology of Caroline character is that Caroline didn’t hate Damon because of how he treated her, she hated who she used to be, insecure and desperate to the point that she threw herself at the stranger just to prove a point to Elena and put herself in a dangerous situation as the result of that, she hated that version of her and Damon was the reminder that part of herself and all she wanted to do was to forget that version of herself ever existed. in S2E20 when Tyler tried to attack Caroline and Damon jumped In front of him and protected Caroline, you can see that Caroline seemed worried for him, it was evident in her voice when she asked him if he’s ok. She witnessed with her own eyes how Damon risked his life for her in that moment and also the fact that he literally rescued her from Klaus earlier that night, Caroline could see the change in Damon, but at the same time he was also the reminder of the period of her life that she hated and that alone stopped her from completely forgiving him. She also had some unresolved feelings for Stefan and she vicariously dating Stefan through Elena so when Elena stopped dating Stefan, it was like she lost that connection. So she’s more like siding with Stefan in this season than actually hating Damon. and Also because she was feeling guilty about her feelings for Klaus. She was trying to project her own feelings on to Elena and Damon and labeled them as a wrong couple in her head to stop herself from falling for Klaus. SPOILERS In S6 after she witnessed everything Damon has done for her mom and the fact that he was the only one besides her who truly understood how much it hurt to lose her mom, that drove Caroline to forgive him and After she turned off her humanity and had to experience for herself what it really means to have no humanity, she was able to forgive Damon completely because what she did to Liam and Sarah was arguably worse than what Damon did to her, so she no longer could judge Damon after she did the same to innocent people.
I LOVE Your opinion about bathtub scene with the girls.... I always said that the show never addressed the issue with Damon and Caroline (but they should have). So her always judging ELENA for loving him was overdone with? Especially when you can clearly see how much Caroline enjoys Klaus attention but Elena never used that against her... I think it was still Caroline's insecurity that she felt for Damon's charm. Also saying a RIPPER is not as bad as being a ,,MAN-SLUT", seriously Caroline?? We get it, you are Stefan's friend, but let's not pretend he never did anything bad or ignore all the red flags he has :D

I always struggle with this cause from what we saw, it absolutely counted as rape and should have been a focus, but the show doesn't do it. They don't show that as being a reason why she doesn't like Damon, which is really gross and wrong, I'm not sure why they didn't see that at the time but it remains one of my biggest gripes of the show overall. The issue with this is that, in the context of the show, they never focus on that being a reason why Caroline doesn't like him. They only show basically the same reasons Bonnie doesn't like him as being factors. If the SA was what Caroline was written to focus on and that be her experience, I'd absolutely agree with this, they just unfortunately never made that part of her story which sucks.

After Caroline regained her memory of what happened, she never showed any sign of panic attack or anxiety attack(common side effect of Sexual abuse) when ever she was alone with Damon. While she was getting ready in her BEDROOM, Damon was just standing there at her door step having a casual conversation. No signs of distress was Witnessed. Do you think it's easy to get over r***? Let’s see how the sex happened, In S1E2 Caroline was talking about sex the whole day and she was even judging Elena for not sleeping with Stefan right away. She was also talking about the hot mysterious guy she had met the night before. Caroline was insanely attracted to Damon but Damon wasn’t, just pay attention to Damon’s facial expressions and his mannerisms when he was talking to her, he was talking to her just exactly how he talks to his victims, the ones he wants to feed on, not the girls he finds attractive and wants to flirt with. Next scene we saw them having sex in CAROLINE’s bedroom not Damon’s, it was so obvious that Caroline was the one who initiated the sex not Damon. During the sex scene, if we pay attention to their facial expressions, Caroline was enjoying the sex so much while Damon looked bored and he literally stopped the sex by biting her and start drinking her blood. In this scene they both were wearing BOTTOMS . The next morning Caroline woke up while she was fully CLOTHED and Damon was wearing PANTS which means nothing actually happened, they were for-playing but they never fully had sex(they didn’t have intercourse) because that was never Damon’s intention, sex with Caroline was never on his mind, Caroline started it not him, he only wanted to feed on her and use her as a way to get in to founder’s council to get the Cristal and to get closer to Elena and that’s why after the compulsion we never saw any sex scene between them ever again. Julie Plec repeatedly said that there’s no r*** in this show and obviously the writers know the characters and story better than anybody else because they literally created them. So stop this nonsense. Damon in fact abused Caroline physically by drinking her blood and verbally but he never ever r*** her. Know the differences between these two.

The people who actually experienced it completely disagree with this statement because they know how it feels and how it would change you for ever and only you can learn to cope with it, that’s all but it would take a long time for you to get ready to have sex again.
